Sushiro’s standard plates of sushi which include the perennially popular salmon & tuna nigiris are only $2.20++ a pop. The slightly more premium portions on golden plates, such as the titillating triple salmon (middle rear plate) are $3.20++. That’s mad decent for a plate that’s got a salmon & 2 salmon belly (one of which is torched) nigiris! Oh and that left plate? It’s literally called the ‘scallop large serving’ on the menu, and they weren’t kidding. The sizeable scallops were sumptuously sweet & fabulously fresh, and there’s no lack of it!
My personal favourite from Sushiro is most definitely the seasonal special Giant Cut Big 3 (rightmost plate, $4.80++), which sees a colossal cut of aburi salmon, and two leviathan shrimp, one head on, one head off. Both shrimp were acceptably fresh & subtly sweet, while the torched salmon...well, you can’t go wrong with a humongous blowtorched salmon slice, can ya now?
For an affordable fast dining sushi restaurant, Sushiro are definitely punching levels above their weight when it comes to pure quality.
