assorted box ($21) ordered the assorted box which came in 3 flavours : burnt butter honey glaze, cinnamon sugar and lemon cremeux. personal fav would be the cinnamon sugar and can i say the softness of the doughnut was quite commendable. had pretty high hopes for the lemon but left slightly disappointed as the lemon filling wasn’t enough for the whole doughnut so it felt like a plain doughnut instead

Mushroom & Egg Brunch at this quiet cafe under the HDB. They have a variety of Gelato but limited options for savoury foods. Ordered Mushroom& Egg Sandwich. The presentation looks good however the texture and taste of the egg was not to my liking 😥 Overall, it was a satisfying meal (thanks to the bun)

Simple And Good Cafe Food Nice little cafe near Beo Crescent Market. I got the Grilled Salmon Rice ($13.80) which comes with sautéed mushrooms and a soft boiled egg, topped with Japanese sesame sauce. Simple and good! Since the last time I came here, the cafe has been renovated and now has a large selection of gelato! I’ll be back to try it for sure.

One Last Hurrah Before Moving To A New Home Artichoke will be moving into a new home soon, and the last day of operations in the current Middle Road restaurant will be on 22 March. If you have a reservation from now till then, good on you! If not, shame on you but they will continue slaying with the New Bahru community from May. Green Harissa Prawns And at the mention of their bread ($4.80/ Bag of Bread), the Green Harissa Prawns ($38) were wonderfully seasoned. That tantalising green harissa enriched sauce/oil with split cream and burnt onions packed a nice heated punch so you would really need that extra warm dough to wipe it all up~ The prawns are also plump and sweet.

Mezze Platter As good as I remembered them to be, Artichoke’s hummus is a must so I got their Mezze Platter ($28) for lunch. Plated with miso hummus with pomegranate, beetroot hummus with sesame seeds, Greek chickpea salad, refreshing greens, tangy pickles and bread; the 3 mezzes of the day were great to share for two. Smooth and creamy, the savoury miso hummus was bomb diggity but the vibrant beetroot dip was an absolute delight - both perfectly moreish and bangin’ when paired with their pillowy-doughy bread.

Aburi Broccoli Salad Woah! This bowl of broccoli was really beyond my expectation! The broccoli was torched to crisp. Together with the parmasan cheese and papadom sprinkled on top, which added an extra point to the dish itself. Recommended 👍🏼

Char Siu Pulled Pork Fries Is just shoestring fries mixed with nachos cheese and pulled pork. Not much of char siew taste

Roasted Salmon With Ebiko Scrambled Eggs And Edamame Mash Salmon was baked to a nice softness. Scrambled eggs was just quite normal, but the edamame mash gave this dish an extra oomp! Recommend 👍🏼

DIY Pancakes ($8.50 for batter) 🥞 🍴A novel concept where you pay $8.50 for a bottle of batter to cook your own pancakes + choose any additional toppings you want. My group of 3 had the whole grain & buttermilk batter. Would recommend the whole grain for a healthier & more unique taste while buttermilk is classic and tasted very similar to McDonalds bfast hotcakes. For toppings, highly recommend the lavender honey ($3) & granola ($1.50). Pancake Fun! Awesome place to bring your kids for a time of fun creation of pancakes with ready-made batter! Priced at 8 per bottle of batter, you could make many many pancakes and you are sure to be filled! They have main dishes too and I ordered a grilled chicken main dish. Overpriced I must say, but the sauce was the shining star of the whole dish. Caution: it can get really warm because of the heat from the grill. Other than that, just enjoy😁

Duck Confit Hash; A Pleasant Surprise While the presentation could use more color, this brunch item (till 3pm) genuinely surprised me with the creamy duck confit ($17) infused with sweet potato, caramalised onions and cheese.

Good, But Not As Good As Before Beef Rendang Lasagne ($16) Great flavours here, strongly reminiscent of beef Rendang as expected, especially from that kick you get from the spiciness. However, I found the beef to be too dry, and the pasta sheets to be too hard.

Good vibes & good food (~$40/pax) The burgers here are great! Very juicy beef patties and soft buttery brioche buns. Good cocktails, and fries were flavourful and yummy. I think we really enjoyed the portobello, which is roasted mushrooms on toast (pictured in the middle)! ✨ratings: 8/10✨

Gluten-free & Dairy-Free Quite impressed with their menu. I think their offerrings are more interesting and inventive than most cafes, which is commendable given that everything gluten free and dairy free. We had the King Crab Benedict and Mountain Yam Rosti. Both lovely. I actually distinctly remember enjoying the gluten free bread that came with the benedict. It had a nice chewiness to it, and was great for mopping up the hollandaise and egg yolk.
