Pan Seared Salmon Bowl Old is gold. Generously portioned and perfectly pan seared salmon with crispy skin over a choice of brown rice, sushi rice or quinoa. Refreshing toppings gave crunch and flavour. $20++ for the lunch set that included a drink and dessert. Yep, happiness.

Baby Eggplants with Mascarpone A little pricey for what it offers, but kudos to innovating a simple dish. Love their Basil Panna Cotta as well! Not a big fan of the rice bowls though.

Surprisingly underrated If you like your meat red, moist, and just really silky, then you'd find a friend in Kilo's Beef Short Rib Steak. Simply seared, the generous portion of short rib is juicy and tender, sure to please all 🐮 fans. Served with a tangy shiitake salad and some legit onion rings, it's a huge steal at $33.

For Healthy Eats along Duxton Road Located along Duxton Road, this beautiful space is great for catching up with your girlfriends over healthy eats. Get your green game on with the crowd-pleasing Truffled Portobello Salad ($15.90). The vegetarian salad sees slices of well-marinated, grilled portobello mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and Japanese cucumbers on a leafy bed of baby spinach. The bed of greens is tossed in a honey lemon dijon dressing and finished off with a drizzle of truffle oil. Portions are big and great for sharing amongst two small eaters. Apart from Salads (from $11.90), there are hearty Grain Bowls (from $16.90) and an option of customising your own salad (from $16). Pro tip: Sprout Salad Bar also serves good Coffee (from $3.50) and has multiple power points available, making it a conducive space for getting work done in the Duxton area. Truffled Portobello Salad ($15.90) You can't go wrong with portobello mushrooms in your salads. Love how generous they are with the ingredients and the super tasty honey lemon dijon dressing too! Sprout Salad Bar is great for those looking for a conducive space to work outside of office — they've got great coffee to get you through the day and many available power points too!

Expensive Salads I love the simple interior that incorporates the skylight to brighten up the salad bar, makes it quite conducive as a peaceful workspace. The salad portion is huge, definitely enough for two appetites (or a very hungry one). The owner and servers here seem to harbour a lot of pride in their ingredients and presentation, as can be seen here with their beautifully-arranged assortment of ahi tuna, pineapple, avocado, and I changed the red onion to mango - excellent decision on my part haha. The popping traffic-light coloured bowl, however, pales in the presence of stronger players like Aloha Poke or A Poke Theory which allow more ingredients in a single serving. The price tag of almost $20 for “salad” is also a dubious factor, especially when I can get economical salad that’s less than $6 just 5 mins walk away in Tanjong Pagar Plaza. Guess it depends on whether you're in the mood for spending on quality and comfort.

Fill in the order sheet (right near the entrance), place your order at the cashier, pay up & keep watch on the buzzer they hand to you. When it buzzes, your food is ready for collection at the space adjacent to the cashier, further indoors. I got a roast beef, rocket leaves, onsen egg (hidden!), forest mushrooms, quinoa combination, with honey lemon yogurt dressing on the side. Bottles & Bones Salad 🥗 ($14.90/1 protein, +$2 for additional protein) Salads aren't exactly my thing. I usually need a good meat or two and a WHOLE lotta sauce for a meal to satisfy. Luckily Bottle & Bones has all of those things and more! 😂 Get the crispy pork belly which truly lived up to its name and went really well with the pickled carrots. The dry chicken, on the other hand, might not get invited to the next party. They've also got some pretty awesome sauces and toppings (truffle crumble, say whuuuut) that'll keep your lunch exciting! 😋

For Seriously Underrated Salads If it's noon and you're in Raffles Place, head to this air-conditioned space for a delicious salad. Located right at the exit of Raffles Place MRT Station, Bottles and Bones is both a sit-down restaurant and a grab-and-go spot that offers reasonably-priced salads. There is only one size available here ($14.90), which includes one main, one side, three toppings and a dressing. Prices are nett, proteins are unbelievably tasty and portions are generous, which explains why they usually sell out by 1pm. Go for their signature Crispy Pork Belly as your main (additional mains cost $2) with its very audible crackling skin and opt for the onsen egg, pickled carrots and the forest mushrooms as your toppings. Treat yourself to an additional topping ($1) and get the much raved about Truffle Crumble that adds just the right amount of crunch and flavour in your salad! Of the nine dressings available, standouts include the unique truffle and yuzu aioli, the flavourful baby spinach pesto and the creamy Cajun spiced mayo. Breakfast In A Bucket Loved that they had unusual toppings (or what would count as premium ingredients in some salad stalls) including quinoa and onsen egg! Wafu sauce made such a light & delightful dressing for this protein packed meal.

The Green Bucket Medium ($7.90), beef steak ($1.50). Portion is good for one when u're starving. The folks there were really nice to accept my request for my hard boil to have its yolk slightly under cooked because onsen egg had ran out 👍🏼 oh and if you're working at the offices above they do delivery too!
