food: came quite slowly, but it was fine. i would not recommend eating the spicy version as it might mask the freshness of the fish :")
what i ordered: romaine lettuce + chopped kale (+$0.50) + herb-crusted dory filet + grilled asparagus + scrambled egg whites + baked almonds + meyer lemon vinaigrette
food: yum! the dory was smooth and silky, the herbs adding a nice touch to the taste. the romaine seemed a little hole-y, and the egg whites was nothing too special. the vinaigrette was sweet and added a nice touch to the entire bowl! (it was the star of the show, if i were to be completely honest) quite filling even though it seems very little. a little pricey but honestly all these salad bars are quite expensive :<
quite busy for around 1pm
food: ok for its price. the meat didn't feel very textured and felt too smooth to be real meat, however it was seasoned nicely. expected a half-juicy but thoroughly cooked patty. the bacon overpowered the meal and so it wasn't too pleasant. the cheese was the sole saviour of this dish. mushroom soup tasted very canned and it was nice, but it did not fulfil my mushroom soup craving.
service: we had waited around 30 min before our food came, and had to ask the waiters twice about our food. we were situated in quite a cramped area with little air, ruining the experience. we got even hangrier as we saw all receiving their food but us :(
food: it was ok! not too bad but nothing too eye-opening! onsen egg was well-cooked, but it's a little pricey in general for the amount of fish you get
food: ordered 2 plates, amount of sauce was inconsistent, so one had less sauce than the other. :( i felt that it could have been spicier, and the chicken chop was tough :/ but it was nice and savoury, something reassuring and filling for a hungry stomach.
food:
a little expensive for the price if i dare say so. the pancake was quite dense while being very thick, which might suit some but definitely not me. the crust was delicious and the bananas were extremely but not overpoweringly sweet. wow loon at me adding random adverbs! well i will say give it a try, if you're willing to spend that amount of money đź‘Ť
food:
this was mediocre! yay! i liked the texture of the top part of the soufflé egg, but the taste of the rice did not really have that pizzazz i was awaiting. of course, it was yummy, but there was no kick that got me hooked.
food:
my first time eating jjajangmyeon! i'd like to say this was a great introduction to jjajangmyeon for me. the black beans were savoury and had a nice taste. the peas added extra texture i never knew would have been so interesting!
ambience: long waiting line (we went at 6.30ish), and was scammed for $0.50 for water (i don't believe in paying for water >:() but other than that it was ok!
food: the sushi was filled with different types of delectable choices! all were fresh and decadent, each bite having a good amount of umami. loved the sushi a lot.
others ordered: senryo tamagoyaki with mentaiko sauce, australian wagyu sukiyaki (would not recommend — meat was too tough), seasonal hyogo kaki (yummy!)
food:
i admit that i am no master of mediterranean food — this is my 2nd time eating this type of food. however, everyone knows once they have come across good food. good food makes you happy, makes you crave more, makes you so incredibly immersed in the experience of eating. and wonderful meal made me feel all the above. what was included in this mix was: tender beef kebab, savoury chicken kebab and umami-filled lamb chops, along side fragrant saffron rice (not pictured) with cashews and refreshing fresh vegetables. we were recommended to start with the lamb and the beef so it would not become dry, and it was so tender and savoury. it was extremely flavourful and i enjoyed every single bite i had. it was unlike any food i had eaten before. i'm usually one to shy away from any extra rice, however, the rice was fragrant and smooth, in addition to that extra contrast of the cashew, that made it so addictive. i left this place feeling satisfied and happy, a feeling i haven't gotten from a meal in a long time.
service:
the waiter was really friendly and gave us good advice! nothing to take note of regarding the service, they are all incredibly friendly and polite! thank you <3
overall:
my budget's usually tight, and this place may burn your pockets a little. however, i would definitely recommend coming here!
(other things ordered: pita bread [$5], baba ghannoush (aubergine dip) [$8])
