Closed at 620pm Burpple states that it's open till 8pm but it was already closed around 6pm

Disappointing They no longer sell bagels but the burpple still says they do; travelled all the way down and was disappointed. Do take note if you plan to head down, they only do the box of six now.

Truffle Beef Bagel ($15.90) We got their truffle beef bagel ($12.90+$3) at the Burpple Food Street on Saturday! Lunch crowd had just rolled in and the wait for 2 bagels was more than 30 min 😓. We were also surprised by the size as it was much smaller compared to the ones given to our friend who had ordered earlier 🤷🏻‍♀️. The beef was cooked well, tender but bordering on chewy. Would give a pass on the truffle the next time as it wasn’t prominent (probably just truffle oil) and not worth the additional $3.

Yummy In The Tummy Tried the prawn risotto and oxtail lasagne. Prawn risotto: slightly wetter than usual risotto but it was the most amazing flavour ever. Could taste the prawn and herb flavour in every bite. Prawns were slightly over cooked, which was a bit disappointing for Jamie’s standard. But seriously, the risotto was so amazing I loved it more than the prawns. Oxtail lasagne: fresh tomato base, go in expecting less béchamel than a normal lasagne recipe and you won’t be disappointed. Oxtail would have been better if it was in chunks, unfortunately it was shredded and ended up smushy against the al dente lasagne sheets.

Creamy And Yummy In The Tummy My boyfriend ate the 150g burrata, I didn’t. He described it as “creamy and yummy, recommended”.

My Favourite Bread The garlic bread comes in four, but gobbled two before realising it’s photo-worthy too. Crusty on the outside but super fluffy on the inside, bread was totally not dry or tough. Garlic and herb flavour was amazing, and goes super well with the mozzarella inside it. Totally recommended!!!!!!

Dinner and Drinks at Hopscotch Had dinner at Hopscotch (Capitol) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had the wagyu burger for mains, a hearty and indulgent option. The wagyu patty was cooked to perfection, incredibly juicy, and packed with rich, savory flavor. To round off the meal, I tried the "KungFu Hustle" cocktail, a bold and creative drink served in a traditional Chinese wine vat. The presentation was both fun and unexpected, adding a unique, interactive element to the experience.

Great dining experience! Visited Hopscotch (Capitol) for dinner on a weekday. Ordered the Barramundi Fish and Chips, Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms, and The Homecoming (cocktail). The fish and chips was really good, the white fish fillet was covered in a light and crispy batter! I highly recommend to order this! I enjoyed the cocktail as well! Overall, I had a great dining experience and I love the ambience of the restaurant. The service was great as well!

Creative Cocktails in a Chill Setting This restaurant is an exciting and unique spot - perfect for a fun night out. The cocktails here are crafted with a 'wow' factor and an unexpected creative twist, which makes the experience both entertaining and memorable. I tried the Lucky Charm cocktail. The waiter, Thomas, shared the fascinating inspiration behind the drink. Apparently, the drink symbolises good luck! The drink was refreshing and strong, and I appreciated the overall theme of the drink. For the main course, I had the Barramundi Fish and Chips. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the sambal tartar sauce added a tangy and delightful kick. The fries were perfectly crispy, which complemented the dish wonderfully. What made the evening more enjoyable was watching Thomas present the cocktails that other diners ordered. The creativity of the cocktails added a lively and unforgettable touch. I could see that other diners were enjoying the show when I got my cocktail as well. I am already looking forward to coming back to explore more of their innovative drinks and see just how far they can push their creativity!

Sudado De Pescado Tomato stew with barramundi, clams, crispy quinoa. It's so refined. The only problems were it's tiny and we had to buy bread separately.

Pasta De Champinones Portobello pasta cooked with Lustau sherry wine. It looks and tasted lovely. The deep-fried mushrooms were addictive.

Virgin Mexican Sunrise A drink not on the main menu probably whipped up spontaneously by the bar. We don't know what went into it but this kind of name usually is safe hahaha.

1 for 1 BIG BREKKIE ✨1 for 1 all-in-one brekkie at @onemancoffee ☕️ using @burpple ‼️ … One of the most worth it deals I got with @burpple thus far. Really appreciate the good service and consistent serving size according to their usual (the portions are sizeable! 👍), nicely sautéed mushroom, fatty artisanal chorizo sausage and fav tater tots 💖

Overall good experience. Value for money, not bad but sausage and bacon were a little salty. $33 for 2 breakfast sets + 2 coffees.

Gashouse Eggs | $13 Finally had the chance to hit up One Man Coffee after being greeted by long snaking queues during their brunch time. Got lucky and managed to snag a seat for breakfast. Opted for the gashouse eggs as I was not feeling hungry enough for the bigger plates. Absolutely loved how they made it, cheesy on the top yet oozy sunny side up egg in the middle. I’m personally not a fan of sourdough bread that’s too tough, but this crusty rendition had a great chewy texture to it. Rate:🌟🌟🌟

Japanese Fusion Sandos The popular Nitamago Potato Salad Sando ($14) was carbs on carbs as it consisted of oozy ramen eggs paired with potato salad and truffle oil. It was somewhat unconventional as it was cold, creamy and refreshing. The Lemongrass Chicken Sando ($14) features thai marinated grilled chicken thigh, cabbage, tomato and yuzu and karashi mayo. It had a lighter taste than expected as the thai marinate on the tender chicken was subtle.

Iberico KatsuSando @ $22 (Best ever #1) What attracted me to Pipes was definitely their signature cream buns, but what surprises me, was how damn good their Sandos are. This Iberico Katsu Sando totally the best damn Sando I ever eaten in my life. Its even the best Katsu I ever eaten. The Iberico Katsu was damn juicy, damn flavourful and then, its crispy also. Thank goodness there's some vege in this sando to make this less sinful, and that's all it does, it's just dress it up nicely like something healthy. But damn, the iberico just instantly killed me with its inner beauty and it tasted damn sinful as well. Highly recommended, if anyone ever need food recommendations from me, this is the first thing that come out of my mouth.

Hokkaido Wagyu Beef Patty @ $20 What attracted me to Pipes was definitely their signature cream buns, but what surprises me, was how damn good their Sandos are. The Hokkaido Wagyu Beef Patty Sando was quite good. But their Tonkotsu Patty Sando totally blew everything away.

Pre-dinner of French Toast ($19) at Parallel Cafe and it came with a generous portion of thick toast balanced with sweetness from the syrup and savouriness from the chopped bacon. Y’all know imma iced black kinda girl, but to my surprise, I very much preferred Parallel’s white over their black. 𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 ($𝟯.𝟵𝟬): there’s a good, rather intense boldness that hits you immediately, its edges taken off by a slight sweetness from the milk, finishing with chocolatey but fruity notes as well. Wonderful balance of boldness and acidity, and one of the few iced whites I’ve had that beautifully straddles the balance between boldness and acidity, showcasing both polarising flavour profiles. It dilutes really REALLY fast though haha so down this quick friends. Their 𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 ($𝟮.𝟵𝟬) however was really acidic. Not the most acidic I’ve tasted for sure and there’s still a nice underlying boldness and bitterness, but the acidity is very prominent and clearly the dominating profile.

Pandan waffle flat white Was skeptical of the name but this really surprised us with its distinct floral pandan aroma and almost buttery creamy finish. Bought a bag of beans home to enjoy and it was just as good as in store!

Brekki for champions Hearty and filling spread with sourdough, poached eggs, maple espresso bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, and pork sausage.

Eggs Benedict Went with the unique stewed beef option and enjoyed the perfectly poached eggs and well-marinated beef. The brioche was airy albeit dry, and could do with more hollandaise sauce or butter for added moisture to the dish.

Waffles with Ice Cream I got myself a scoop of hazelnut ice cream to go with the waffles. Ice cream was good but the waffles wasn’t as crisp as I’d expected it to be. Fluffy but pretty soft/nua waffles.
