Duck Rillettes & Foie Gras In their Bar Snacks menu, the Duck Rillettes & Foie Gras (S$18.00) was three Szechuan pepper brioche with the mince. It was an awesome finger food because the buttery flavours seemed to pair really well with a glass of white wine.

good food and service used Burpple Beyond at this restaurant on a weekday evening. the food and service are good, the staff would clear our plates and serve the next dish efficiently. they were flexible to change the beef tartare to another dish (grilled octopus) as I do not take raw food. be careful of the charges of water though. we almost got charged $9 for a bottle of still water (the waiter opened the bottle too quickly) when normal warm water is complimentary. we feedback this to the staff when we received our bill and they were understanding about it.

Horrible staff attitude, would not recommend don’t usually write reviews but this was so bad i have to leave a review to warn everyone. manager CLARENCE was extremely rude & unwelcoming, and it wasn’t just his unfriendly, unbothered tone. maybe he was unhappy that we were using burpple beyond deals, because he sent out their young part time staff a few times to pester us to quickly order, less than 5 min after we sat down. this place is in hort park, which has many dogs, and has a sign that states their al fresco area is pet friendly. well let me say - they are NOT. the manager clarence refused to give us a bowl for water, not even a disposable takeaway container. he tried to get us to order soups to get the extra bowls, which is such cheap behaviour for a nice place like this. he also snapped his fingers rudely at my dog a few times as he walked past, not sure what his deal was. while it is understandable that their younger staff might just be either part timers or interns, i think dropping cutlery on our (glass top) table more than a few times is hard to be okay with, especially when in a place that charges $30 per dish with a high end restaurant setting. they also dropped dirty cutlery near our phones at least once, and a knife nearly fell on my dog’s eye. the food was okay, but we would rather forego our remaining burpple vouchers than have to come back and pay so much for this terrible dining experience. the worst part is that we were really looking forward to trying this place, seeing the good reviews. edit: seeing google reviews, i noticed that there are really bad reviews of this place too, with multiple specifically for clarence (he’s a filipino guy). think twice before going.

Vineyard at HortPark 4.25⭐ Location is a bit out of the way as it's inside HortPark but the tranquil ambiance makes up for it. The server told us that this is a popular wedding venue and it's rare to be open to public on weekend. Since we are using the Amex Love Dining, all food item excluding drinks are entitled to 50% discount with a minimum order of 2 mains. We ordered an appetizer, 2 mains, a dessert and a drink. The appetiser white wine mussel is served first. We are impressed by the size of the mussel, it's green-lip mussel which is larger than the blue and Mediterranean mussels. The garlic bread served was freshly toasted too. WB ordered the squid ink risotto as he attracted by the big prawns shown in the menu. The prawn are served seared and it'll be nicer if the scallop are seared too. I had the duck confit, it's so tender that I thought I'm eating chicken. Ended the meal with Tiramisu to satisfy my sweet tooth. Tropicana (Part of $25Nett Burpplebeyond deal + Top Ups for change of drinks) Call this “white trash food” but I loved my Sunday “lunch” on a hot afternoon recently that was sweetened with Burpplebeyond. Paying $30++ for a coffee, matcha latte and 2 smoothie bowls I was still pleased despite this not being the usual burpple 1 for 1 deal. My Tropicana smoothie bowl had a deliciously smooth and rich blend of the stipulated tropical fruits (mangoes, banana pineapples) together with coconut milk. As crunches there is also a good portion of granola with nuts. True to its picture fresh, although tart, green kiwi slices and cubed white dragonfruits were garnished on this beautiful bowl. We want to come back for the açai breeze.

Double Toast & Homemade Lemonade (Weekdays Only) (~save $30) The Social Space’s menu is simple but honestly good! Expect feel-good breakfast or brunch staples in the form of open-face toasts served on chunky slices of toasted French sourdough as well as smoothie bowls which come in natural coconut husks.

Tender and flavourful steaks, great dishes. I had lunch with a friend here and was so impressed by their wagyu steak. I’m still thinking about how juicy and full of flavour it was from my first bite. I’m usually a tough critic on my steaks and hate when it tastes rubbery, but the steak I had here met my expectations and more — when seasoned with a little sea salt on the side, was SO savoury, smoked to perfection. I love a tender steak! Also, I liked that FBS was a 3min walk from botanics mrt, so it was very accessible. We had a series of dishes and on the whole was really satisfied with everything, the staff are nice and hospitable plus the food was served at just the right pace. For starters, we had the sourdough and it looks unassuming, but it was torched in front of our eyes, so the result of that was a crisp, perfectly buttered, just-enough portion to whet your appetite. This was served with the burrata, in little bite-sized pieces and was served with pesto, which was delicious. Cheesecake was homemade and of a firmer texture, balanced with yuzu (which I found quite zesty), and topped with tangy berries so that made for a rich, fuller flavour (but you’ll definitely want to share this dessert as it feels a bit much if just for 1 person). The star for me in all this was still the wagyu steak of course (I think this was the Denver for $68), which was so tender, as well as steak with fries ($32). The latter was still good but is firmer. Overall really enjoyed this cosy little steakhouse, nice for dates, both romantic or with good friends!

Burrata caprese Tomatoes topped with cheese and olive oil caviar. The started was unique refreshing and had robust taste. For me the sauce was the start in terms of flavour while the tomatoes topped with cheese makes it a refreshing and creamy dish

Best wagyu beef Went to fat belly today and i must say i had a very experience there. The ambience is fantastic and the food there is amazing. Had the wagyu beef and it’s the best I have ever eaten.

Mentaiko Salmon Don I finally tried their Mentaiko Salmon Don (cooked) ($17.90) after so long of wandering for at least 2 years ago. Back in 2018, I went to Japanese Curry Express for Salmon Mentai Don with one of my poly friend. She also ordered same as me that time but we didn't wanted to share together because the portion was quite small but its quite filling tbh. I saw @foodee.diaree's reviews for 2 weeks ago and reminded me the shop still opened at there till now. I preferred Mentaiko Salmon Don to be uncooked but my stomach got some problems with diary products (I didn't want to take risk anymore and need to play safe) I felt that it was quite overwhelmed with mayo but I felt that their salmon was really fresh and so good.

Wagyu Beef Don I did asked my friend about differences between Tanuki Raw and Rakki Bowl for Wagyu Australian Wagyu MB5 (Signature Truffle Wagyu Don) - $14.90. She didn't answered my answers lol. (probably I just want to know the differences in terms of taste and pricing) I knew the pricing differences between australian and japanese wagyu in terms of quality.

Delicious Salmon Don Tamago is sweet and salmon not overly cook. Overall food is delicious Just that the music play in the store is weird

Yakitori Platter ($13) Got this platter at $8.80 with Ikura's Monday Yakitori promotion. The Yakitori is just perfect, had a nice char but still juicy inside. Highly recommend!! Read more on eatdiarybyrach.

Salmon Zukushi ($23.80) 3 types of salmon with a generous dollop of ikura and a couple pieces of sweet egg omelette. Gave decent amount of salmon for the price and salmon was fresh and thick. Surprisingly well done for this relatively understated izakaya. Cosy ambience, would recommend for chill date or drinks.

Hot Soba Noodles with Tempura $18.9++ Noodles were average only as the soup was not very tasty. But tempera was freshly fried and good. There were ebi fry, golden mushroom, enoki mushroom and sweet potato tempura!

Ice Cream Waffle Seemed like a popular place. I can't fault the food but I'm not a fan of mochi waffle so I've mixed feelings.

1-1 waffle as what others have mentioned you don’t actually save $16 from the deal… but decided to try and got 2 waffles and 4 scoops of ice cream (~$30++). waffle portion is quite generous, thick and crispy. would recommend getting the dark chocolate ice cream.

The deal don’t match, don’t make the trip there. Went in and did not order. Checked with the staff and they indicated that the 1 for 1 deal is only for the waffles base from $8.50. Not those fancy waffles which are priced at around $15. Such misleading offer when the saving indicated for the 1 for 1 offer is stated ~$15.
