Moist, eggy, savoury sweet French toast that is easily the best in SG 😘 despite its ulu location at the far north, you will be rewarded with the refreshing laid-back setting on a backdrop of luscious nature as offered by the Punggol waterway. There's a play area for kids too. Great place for a family weekend :)
Pro-tip: Skip and queue and takeaway this beauty! The amount of sashimi is generous for the price, and the sauce is tangy while not being too sweet. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 highly recommend this small joint, and also try its homemade tamago (sweet egg) that is topnotch too #burpplecheapngood
Delicious beef don drizzled with teriyaki (?) sauce peppered with black truffle bits and fried garlic. The onsen egg is a wonderful complement. The bowl is very balanced in both texture and flavours, it's a must try ;)
It's MY BIRTHDAY! Loaded with fresh sashimi (some aburi-torched), Uni (😻😻) and rice crispies. This will be specially served up when you indicate a birthday girl/boy in your reservation. This is absolutely delish, so you may consider claiming that it's your birthday when it may well might not be 🌚 loved this!
4 kinds of sushi - served up as the "main course" just before the dessert is served as part of the Omakase dinner that night. Of course, the best of the 4 was the blow-torched Uni sushi 😻 ice cream of the sea 🛳
Prawns, squid, mushroom, chicken, pumpkin.. the kind of tendon you wna hv to kill any fried food craving you gt (and gna hv) 🐷🐷🐷 strongly recommend the spicy one for that extra kick!
At 300JPY, you can find this at a specialty green tea shop near the end of the Nishiki Market Main Street. Cubes of delicious green tea warabimochi are generously encased by heaps of green tea powder. These were not too sweet, and delightfully soft and cool-to-mouth. Lovely texture and perfect dessert in Japan esp in the sweltering weather!
Affordable beef bowl at at heart of Kyoto near the Gion district. Choose and pay for your order at the vending machine at the door first, before you join the queue for a table. Comfortable ambience in the restaurant once seated, great value for money!
Not for the impatient - this carrot cake demands at least a good 40-mins wait (nothing less) and the auntie will tell you to not order if you can't wait 🌚 however if you do have the patience, have it there (not takeaway) and it is really delicious! The edges are nicely fried to crisp, while still retaining the softness and moisture of the kueh. The generous spread of chillies is definitely another key for its fame 👌🏻 #burpplecheapngood
Unassuming plate of white bee hoon, that is easily the best beehoon dish I have tasted - extremely flavourful gravy, which the beehoon has soaked up all of its goodness. The other zichar dishes are pleasantly delicious too. A great place for family dinners / takeaways at an affordable price tag! #burpplecheapNgood
All-time Favourite ramen shop: Small joint serving wonderfully authentic Tonkotsu Ramen perfect for a quick ramen fix. Rich and flavourful broth, with cool-to-mouth free flow bean sprouts and hard boiled eggs 😻 the original base (without Chili or black pepper sauce) is still the best!
This is da bomb!! "Gong bao" fried chicken loaded with dried chillies and mala seeds. The egg-yolk looking things are actually delicious MANGO PURÉE (!!) that can be dipped in to nicely cut the spiciness from the meat 👌🏻 looking fw to return again to try the other dishes too! #amexplatinum #amexpalatedining @lokkeesg
