Craving all things pork? If you are, newly-opened Dojo is THE place to go. Besides boasting a menu full of porky burger goodness, their sides that come with them are real hits too. Burgers range from $10-$13, which includes a side of fries and a drink. Go for the signature Sumo burger ($13) - pork patty with roasted sesame dressing and crispy pork-belly topped with salad, between two soft buns. If you want something lighter, try the Komba Bao ($6) - braised pork belly sandwiched between FRIED mantou buns!

Durian Creme Brulee. Salted Egg Fries. These are all the reasons you need to pay The Quarters a much-needed visit. Located in Icon Village at Enggor Street, they take inspiration from local Asian flavours to create exciting and unique mod-sin (Modern Singapore) dishes. A sucker for salted-egg-yoke anything will HAVE to order the crispy fries with salted egg yolk dip, and of course, don't leave without first trying their signature durian creme brulee - with smooth, creamy Mao Shan Wang durian custard that's so, so satisfying.

Full flavoured with a natural beefy taste, this is my new no. 1 choice for Vietnamese beef pho in Singapore. It doesn't have the sugary sweetness that marks Long Phung's version but neither is it mild and boring.
At $7 per bowl, I feel they are quite generous with the sliced cooked beef, beef brisket and beef balls as well.

Friends told me that I must must must try the Nyonya Laksa Lemak at a Loving Hut because “it is like the best thing over there”. And it's only 462 kcal!

Have you seen a Chilled Soufflé before? Not me; this is the first time I had came across one and I am sold! Served with crumbles, sesame dentelle and almond streusel, the Chilled Pandan Soufflé tasted really rich and coconut-y with a texture similar to ice-cream but thicker and denser, which went well with the salted crumbles. Sesame dentelle had an old-school flavour that I really liked which seemed to replicate Sesame cookies, though the Almond Streusel seemed mismatched with the rest being a bit bland as well.
