So much flavour going on. I really love the in your face tomato notes as well as the crispy bread. Just the thing to have these days given the weather!

Hands up if this is true! We may complain about the relentless rain but we are secretly loving the cool weather. 😆😆 Make the most of it!
This was nice!
The bread and butter pudding itself was impressive, fluffy and perfectly soak-y, with some parts remaining crispy
The eggnog custard wasn’t sweet, very nice with some bitter alcohol hints.
Pistachio ice cream was very creamy but the pistachio was prominent too.
Overall a very well executed dessert, really approve as a bread lover!
I recently went to another galette shop recently and wanted to try French Fold to compare. Albeit, I have never been to France to try it there, but I quite liked both establishment's versions. The No.5 was a combination of comte cheese (my fave), chorizo and a runny yolk. The buckwheat galette itself was quite subtle in taste, but each mouthful of a mix of everything was very enjoyable. Service was great and just like Merci Marcel, I will definitely visit again.

#BerryRicottaHotcake is just like a potted plant with our favourite berries, seeds, ice-cream and is served with maple syrup.
The hotcake is crispy outside and fluffy on the inside

From Mo&Jo Sourdough Burgers, a new concept by the same folks behind Baker & Cook and Plank Sourdough Pizza at Greenwood Avenue.
This burger comes with beef patty, smoked bacon, caramalised onion, house mayo and house BBQ sauce — patrons can opt between sourdough, Soy & Linseed or gluten-free bun options. Went for the sourdough option; a classic combination of condiments that provides for a safe option on the menu here. The beef patty is well-crusted whilst done with a pinkish centre; comes flavourful without being particularly gamey whilst being juicy and tender while the crisp bacon adds a saltish, smoky flavour to the burger. The sweet caramalised onions helps to cut out all that meatiness, together with the crunch of the lettuce and refreshing burst of flavours from the tomato beneath; all that in between two light and fluffy sourdough buns which went well without being particularly dense nor heavy. Thought the burgers here were a slightly lighter option despite the larger portions; not as much as a sinful treat that we were expecting out of a burger, but still pretty delicious overall.
The fluffy kind of french toast, stuffed with guava compote, tangy but still sweet. Paired with vanilla ice cream 4/5
Finally!! Always wanted to try this, but deterred by the price and portion (because why this when you can have buffet lol). Didn't expect the ENTIRE pot to be collagen; they'll first let you taste the original soup once it melts before adding in the ingredients for you. It was like PURE CHICKEN hahah; sort of like super rich ramen soup. Adding in the ingredients gives it a milder taste, but it's still very rich. Delicious as it is, the portions of ingredients and noodles are really too little, or as we concluded, to be beautiful you have to eat less too lol 😌

The black rice infused in rich squid ink broth and the prawns were well grilled.

This is basically very smooth mash. The pork belly is superb good, flavoured and the octopus is tender. What a perfect combination.
