Best dish I had that night - should also try the charred cauliflower and crab small plates!

This was a hearty and yummy meal! Especially when using the entertainer - super worth it ($17.50 for 2). Must try!

how can we not! ๐Ÿžโ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡ฐ

We found Kowloon restaurant at the corner of a small lane along Hennessy Road. Walking past its fully loaded bakery shelf every day was a torture...so we decided to pop in one day for tea! .
.
We had their ICE-FIRE POLO BUN โ„๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅwhich turned out to be a huge polo bun accompanied by an ice cold slab of butter. Yum yum yum, especially when paired with a classic milk tea! Itโ€™s worth mentioning that the polo buns here were slightly lighter when compared to Kam Fung (see previous post). So if thatโ€™s your thing, yknow where to go ๐Ÿ˜‰
.
.
Bonus: They have the friendliest staff that are sure to leave you with a smile and a happy belly!! This place is a little more special to us because it was where we first successfully ordered our food in canto ๐Ÿ˜‚

Step 2 - Share a table with complete strangers. Step 3 - Order freshly baked polo buns, scrambled eggs with ham, and milk tea ๐Ÿž๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ–โ˜•๏ธ

We heard great things about Kam Fung cafe (้‡‘้ณณ่Œถ้คๅปณ) so we decided to give it a shot and well, pretty sure this is as authentic as it gets! The simple yet tasty food together with the never ending flow of customers and staff made this a unique experience that we really enjoyed ๐Ÿ˜Œ

So if youโ€™re looking for an authentic Cha Chaan Teng experience that serves fuss-free comfort food, check this place out ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Time and time again weโ€™ve been disappointed with stalls that serve skimpy wontons that turned out to be 90% wonton skin and only 10% filling. But over at Mak Man Kee noodle, it seems like itโ€™s the other way round. Each wonton is generously filled with an ENTIRE tiger prawn with some minced pork ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ˜ฑ
.
.
After our meal there, โ€œhow to make Hong Kong wontonsโ€ mightโ€™ve been googled a little too much by the both of us ๐Ÿ˜‚

.
After ordering the usuals like Har Gow, Siew Mai, we find that the dim sum here is comparable to the better ones in Singapore WITH THE EXCEPTION of this Char Siew polo bun (่ ่ๅ‰็ƒงๅŒ…). Crunchy and crumbly on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside. Throw in moist and flavourful char siew, and we were in dim sum heaven ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜‡

To start our morning right, we went straight to Chinatown to search for some at Grannyโ€™s Pancake ๐Ÿ˜‹
.
.
Peanut butter? Coconut? Peanut? Red bean? Or if youโ€™re like us and canโ€™t decide, just order everything ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Our favourite has gotta be the classic peanut with a generous amount of peanut butter ๐Ÿฅœ๐Ÿฅž donโ€™t you wanna just sink your teeth into all that goodness ๐Ÿ˜

Serving was Super worth the price / usually the protein of such bowls are v little but at Straits clan they give you a good serving!!
