Tuck away at a corner near the famous River south Hoe Nam prawn noodles and lao zhong zhong eating house. Glad to find this on burpple beyond. Nice choice of ice cream flavors but do note that ice cream is not part of the 1 for 1 deal, only the waffles are. Coffee is bad unfortunately.
Great coffee and food in a nostalgic 80s setting! Generous servings and robust coffee. Certainly a nice place to hang out with friends but they have a time limit of 1hr 20mins per table. Better to make reservations before hand cuz they are packed even on a weekday! Gonna try their high tea set (limited to 10 sets per day) next time!
Chicken mandi was a let down. Tough, dry and fried. Beef was also tough and a tad gamey. Servings were smaller than other Lebanese joints around that area. I shall stick to Byblos Grill next time!
What a hidden gem in a rustic HK style hotel! Pretty extensive menu and food was served fast although the restaurant was a little busy. Love the pork cheek and crispy hor fun, the signature ter ka bee hoon was also good. Love their chendol panna cotta too! Do alert staff before hand if you are using burpple beyond.
Saw this on burpple beyond and decided to give it a try. Can’t remember the names for the dishes that we ordered but all of them came with huge portions (be very hungry!) and tasted awesome! It was one of the best meal we had in the past two months not forget to mention their hospitality that made us feel so welcome. Top notch service and food! Go for it!
It doesn’t taste Thai at all. Just normal beef noodles with Thai basil, chili flakes and vinegar chili. Beef was tender though and it’s halal!
You ought to try this one after a meal in Jewel! Great for sharing! We had the twist of both milk and cheese, comes with a slice of cheesecake and 2pcs of their famous milk cookies. Yumz!
They used to station in our office before Covid-19. Miss their coffee so much since working from home. And now they finally open their cafe in Joo Chiat! OMG. I was thrilled! It was pretty packed on a Thursday afternoon but we are lucky enough to get a table for two. Coffee was great if not better! Tried their coconut affocato the first time and it was awesome! Will certainly be back to try their brunch!
The pungent smell of durian filled the whole place. Durian haters please avoid! But smells heavenly for durian lovers! Awesome dessert. Reasonably priced. Worth the wait (about an hour during weekend).
First time here. A little nostalgic. It brought us back to the 80s! food was good except that portions are too little. Medium portions probably good for 3 pax max.
A burger that costs $30++ a pop? It better be good. But unfortunately it was not the best I had. Ask for medium rare so that it will be medium done when the burger is served to you. The sandwich on the other was just alright. We had their coffee at other branches which was just so so, so we didn’t have any
This time. Overall the meal for 2 cost $65++ with two mains, nothing to rave about but view is nice, near the sea. Perhaps that is what you are paying for. But trust me, once it’s enough. You can get better food elsewhere with that kinda price tag.
We had the pork jowl and whole roasted chicken plus 2 drinks using the burpple beyond 1 for 1 app. Super value for money. We came to a conclusion that the pork jowl had to be a sharing dish else it will be too gelat cuz of the amount of fats! But it’s an awesome dish nonetheless. The roasted chicken was juicy and definitely able to feed more than 2 pax. We were so stuffed after that. Overall great food and friendly staff. Will be back again to try other dishes. Do make advance reservations cuz the restaurant is rather small and it was full house when we were there.
