One of the best in town made better with beer on tap and of course 1-for-1 mains.
Chicken parmigiana ($28++)
At $2/skewer during lunch special. This Moo Ping with its green chilli condiment is so goooood! One of the best I've had!
Been coming to the Garden Slug even before Burpple Beyond. Always love the fact that they are pet friendly and for non-pet owners who just wanna wanna oggle other people's doggos, this place is heaven!
Had the Chargrilled Chicken Breast ($22) and the Aromatic Roasted Fish ($22) today. Even without the 1-for-1 we would still come back for them, cos these two dishes are THAT good! Compliments to the Chef!
P/S: There's even a menu for the fur babies!
Death by brisket was really tasty, with a great red wine gravy that complimented the meat well. And the scallop potatoes were a fantastic side. Overall, excellent dish.
Death by Brisket ($34++)
Served with scallop potatoes, grilled asparagus & red wine gravy.
Found this little hole in the wall because of Burpple Beyond and we were pleasantly surprised by our mains! As described in their menu, the steak was indeed perfectly medium rare. The avocado chimmichurri that complemented the steak is smooth and fresh. And can we please talk about the beautifully charred asparagus. I was very satisfied with my choice this evening! Thanks Burpple for helping us find this quaint place!
Charcoal Steak ($36++)
Perfect medium rare steak on an avocado chimmichurri paired with charred asparagus and potato salad.
Truffle Scrambled Eggs
Lightly "truffled" so you don't get overwhelmed like some places. I think Sarnies has just the right amount of truffle to allow the eggs and mushrooms to still shine without the truffle stealing the spotlight. A nice balance of flavours. (You can definitely taste the truffle here. Unlike some places where it is all smell only)
Castaing duck confit ($36++)
Crispy duck on a bed of red cabbage, accompanied by salted potatoes.
This was ordered by my other half for lunch and he was blown away by the way the dish came together. (Mind you, he isn't easy to please when it comes to food.) So when he says it is one of the best duck confit he has tasted in Singapore, I would believe him.
I had a little taste of the dish and I agree. The duck was very well prepared and the accompanying red cabbage and salted potatoes just rounds up the dish beautifully.
Quite frankly, we are definitely returning to try some of the other dishes on the menu. 😂
Turkey crepinette ($32++)
Spiced fruits mince with turkey and bacon on a bed of perfectly cooked spinach, bell pepper and lentils.
I was originally apprehensive about ordering this dish as I don't really enjoy lentils. However, it is December and it is turkey season for me. 😂 So I really wanted to try it.
Kudos to the chef who has completely turned my lentil experience around! They made the lentils so tasty that my plate was totally cleaned by the end of my meal.
This is definitely a value for money dish as the level of preparation to create a crepinette is intrinsic. Every bite was a delight.
Thank you Culina Bistro for a satisfying lunch!
