Been over three years since I last had bingsu, and I almost forgot how much I adore its delicately shaved soft ice
Opted for the OG cos I've been in a red bean craze lately. Appreciated the balanced sweetness and generous toppings. Although the photo may not show it, there's a delightful hidden pile of red beans in the middle of the bowl π
The size appears smaller than what I'm used to, but itβs just right for me (a savoury lady lol)

Back here for our fave burrata pizza with prosciutto add on ($8++)
Cheese is as milky and creamy as before, though the whole pizza is duller both in colour and in taste. Hope this is a one-off as I donβt have other good burrata pizza replacements yet! (Lol)
Used #BurppleBeyond for 20% off on their mains. To note they apply it to the lower priced item only (if you bought multiple mains)

Recently experienced Kyudon's budget-friendly omakase along Jalan Dhoby in JB, treating ourselves to a lineup of nine dishes
(Excuse the simplified names, canβt rmb what the chef told us π
)
- Torched Tuna
- Sashimi platter
- Aburi salmon and foie gras sushi
- Ebi sushi
- Unagi sushi
- Unagi bao
- Miso soup
- Salmon and avo roll
- Burnt matcha cheesecake
Personal favorites were the aburi salmon and unagi bao, both showcasing seared foie gras. The rich, velvety texture of the duck liver elevated each bite, and that halved bao is certainly more than a mouthful (lol)
The torched tuna had a meaty flavor heightened by its sauce, and the unagi was perfectly cooked with its delicate charred hints
Raw seafood, especially the amaebi, fell slightly short, missing that perfect sweet note we were anticipating. On a positive note, the salmon, scallop and ikura maintained their usual excellence
Our chef is friendly yet slightly shy - I reckon a bit more interaction would have enhanced our omakase experience
Overall, Kyudon's offering remains a good value for money. We were very very full π

I donβt normally fancy Korean sides, but theirs is quite good! We dined close to their lunch closing so the spread is not as much, but quality is ππ». Beansprouts are notable, crunchy and perfectly spiced
