Ichiran as in the best right? Yes, you are correct! Cheating a bit when I categorise under 'Kansai Japan' but they do have branches in Osaka and Kyoto with the exact same standards so...! 🤗

You've probably heard of it. A tad bit of a wait because 'good things must wait' as we Singaporeans know it. A vending machine for your ramen ticket. Solo booths for your individual ramen experience. You get to choose soft/hardness of noodles, how flavourful you want the broth to be and even spiciness (from the chilli powder depicted above). Hand it over, wait a moment and then a magical bowl is served to you by an anonymous server; you can only see his/her hands, and a bow from the little window as he/she wishes you an enjoyable meal. God bless every mouthful of these glorious noodles! 😭❤

P.S. If you are typical chilli-addicted Singaporean go ahead and add a lot! I had about quadruple of this amount of chilli powder (yas the option was available.... or I probably just wrote a number), the next time my broth was red and got 'kick' one HAHAHA OOPS 😚

I'll TRY to keep it short.... 😂
Make sure you book in advanced online. Come on time. The place is small, the chef is sweet and the portions are expensive. The process of making the omu rice however is very fun to watch and experience!

If I remember correctly, most of my friends and I decided with the smaller portion (price constraints), it was around 20 dollars and you get rice smaller than a usual bowl 😢 I enjoyed every mouth thankfully! With the help of some chilli concoction I requested the chef to make because no chilli no life! 🙈 Oh yes, that's a tip. Request for some chilli, he'll whip some ra-yu like thing and it's tasty!

I don't know how I always end up in the Hongdae branch every trip in Korea. Like the exact same one, without remembering where it is or what not, I just happen to always end up here! Pictured above is Seaweed Porridge, and they have a wide variety of porridges available, even sweeter ones like pumpkin porridge. My favourite is the spicy seafood one! If you come to Korea make sure you try! This is apparently one of many branches of 'bonjuk'.

"Auntie 我要叉烧饭加烧肉谢谢。"

It's hard to pick what to eat when they do everything so well, I love their noodles here too! Gravy and chilli sauce, meats, rice and noodles, even their vegetables and soups. I like them all! I must say, their soups reminds me of home.

Comes in big big sizes, you'd be surprised!! 😝 Sumos eat these to bulk up. Legit big portions only. I forgot the restaurant name but these r called 'chanko'.

I remember when Jia Xiang just came to SG, I was 10! And I loved the QQ Kolo Mee, especially with lots and lots of their chilli. Their noodles are not the cheapest, but they never fail to satisfy me! Flavour and all, they do it just right. They have grown and then shrunk over their time here but I'm glad that the Harbourfront stall is always easy to access and is doing well.

At less than 20 dollars SGD this is worth every cent. The very photogenic egg, juicy beef with just the right amount of seasoning to pair with rice. They have a wagyu/kobe?? beef option as well, with a few hundred yen more.

PHF has great stuff. Everything pictured above was a joy to savour. However I won't hide it from you that this meal costed a good $99! My Wagyu burger (I forgot the name thankfully I am no professional) has a mix of all the gold things, but you see.... too much of a good thing really isn't good for you. The flavours were clashing and heavy by the end, burger and onions and all. I would have perhaps enjoyed it more if I had not eaten so much!

Sanpoutei has good stuff, if you have the stomach for it. Ordered a ramen each and that was a mistake for the three of us who got the normal ramen; as tasty and flavourful the broth was the amount was simply too much for us! On the other hand, the Tsukemen was just right -- portion and brothwise. And since then I just kept coming back for more Tsukemen! 🤗

So good! I come back time and time again never disappointed by their chilli shui jiao. Ah, I can taste the shrimp in my mouth just by the thought of it!!!

It costed a good $9 for a Mont Blanc and my poor ass can't afford it. Lovely ambience and interior make up for the cost however.

Favourite Korean restaurant in the whole wide world. It's as authentic AND tasty as it gets! My family would come here eeeevery week!
