It's huge but no substance.. The menu photo featured slices of grapefruit and some fruits. In reality only some store bought passion fruits plup and some calamansi.. Taste artificial and weird. Not recommended. AVOID!
A new ice cream cafe at Bedok (near Domino's)! The waffles were really good <3, chewy with crispy exterior! The ice cream on the other hand was quite normal.. I feel that they should make the flavours more intense eg. more chocolaty, more horlick powder and tim tam biscuits :) There's 1 for 1 on fave and burpple too
A quiet cafe on the outside of the Kitchener Complex. We tried the Oven Baked Cajun Chicken Thigh ($16) and the Spanish Jowl Bowl ($14). The rosti which came with the chicken thigh was AMAZING!! It had a nice crisp on the outside and was soft and fluffy inside. The seasoning was right on the dot! The jowl was a bit disappointing, way too fatty maybe we were unlucky and didn't get a good cut. The cafe had good service and also provided free flow water. I can't wait to come back again for the rosti!
A cute little corner shop at City Gate decorated with bright neon lights. We went for the Hawaii Five-O ($27) and Sweet Dreams ($26) using the burpple deal. The pineapple ring on Hawaii was really sweet which gave a good contrast to the cheese. I wished there was more of it! Sweet dreams was four types of cheese drizzled with honey, cheese + honey is a marriage made in heaven. What could go wrong? Both pizzas had a nice char on the top but were actually pretty burnt underneath which caused a bitter taste.. Both of them were also on the greasy side.. At this price point I doubt I will return again.
The pasta came with creamy black pepper sauce and generous amount of frozen crab meat with bonito flakes on top. The taste was just so-so... It didn't taste like the usual black pepper crab. The sirloin steak was much better!
Almost all the dishes had their signature bak kwa or pork floss. My favourite was the chicken roulade as it was tender with balanced seasoning. The paper bak kwa on it was the highlight! So thin and crispy! Good food and great service! Highly recommended :)
Great place with good selection of craft beers. This xo carrot cake was delicious! A nice twist to the usual carrot cake.
Food tasted good, the lamb was well seasoned and not gamey. However at $49.90 the portion given was too little for 2 pax... I didn't even feel half full even though I added on a lavash (flatbread).
Used the burpple medium soup and mini bun deal ($6.40). Both soups tasted good, they were the lighter versions of soup spoon so less filling as well.
Really yummy! The bread was crisp on the outside and soft inside. I loved the savoury and sweet combination of the maple bacon! Sadly, it would be too expensive to enjoy without the burpple deal.
3 ebi tempura on top of the chicken katsu oyako style don. Taste ok, nothing fantastic. Too bad the katsu was wet due to the oyako style. The chicken skin that came with the burrple deal was very crispy! Do take note that there're no soft drinks only dasani water for the deal.
Disappointed with the selection for burpple 1 for 1. I was looking forward to try their beautiful nasi lemak .. In the end, we ordered the Angus beef don and Hamgurger steak & egg, both tasted like microwaved food. Come here for drinks and finger food!
