super recco!! have been wanting to try this place for a while now & finally went down to try today. was initially put off as it was a bar-type of place so i didn't know if it would really be good. however!!!! i was so pleasantly surprised. first the staff were so attentive & helpful! and the star of the night for real. this bowl was $29.90 & each type of sashimi had FIVE SLICES (as opposed to 3-4 from most places). the sashimi was tasty although defo not like omakase/jap restaurants type of level but rly rly enjoyable! they had tuna, salmon, swordfish, scallop, octopus and tamago. my only feedback is that the wasabi could have been less artificial. there was no ++ and after 1 for 1, we only paid $29.90 for TWO big bowls! 🙌🏻 ps: there's happy hour promos every single day w some days being soju night & housepour spirits night (1 for 1 too). had a look at their christmas cocktail menu which looked q yummy too! would defo be back to try their drinks on a non-weeknight 😉

Just normal 总体评价三星半偏上 午市套餐，选了泰式九层塔鸡肉饭 结果上来一个日式的饭盒，感觉有点奇怪，味道还是可以的，但是这个九层塔炒鸡肉我也几乎没有吃过不好吃的，再加上份量不大，吃到完完 下次应该不会再来了吧

Thai Food We got lost following the GPS, it's at the junction and below a yoga place. We sat indoor, and the air con wasn't strong. Ordered medium Thai green curry chicken and pork omelette (free), milk teas and rice. Total > $25. 😃👍

Unagi w mentai tamago ($22), snow crab pasta ($15) Unagi was quite small in portion. Mentai tamago combi is 👌🏻. Snow crab pasta taste like chilli crab sauce w lots of meat

Ok food for price (1 for 1) Ordered unagi fried rice - portion is small, unagi not visible but taste of unagi is evident. Seafood pasta came abit wet tasted abit more home cooked than restaurant style. Thought the oyster comes together with the seafood pasta but they claimed they served wrongly (and told me only when I was making payment) - suspect they do this with all tables who didn’t hit the min spending. Then say out of goodwill will give a 15% off for the 1 raw oyster. Overall, nice ambience but poor business ethics, won’t recommend

2 for 2 cocktails 2 for 2 cocktails thanks to burpple beyond. Cocktails made to each person’s choice of poison. Super yummy and value for money!

Poet's Poison Love this friendly little Whisky bar and this cocktail with Robert Burns Malt Whisky and Raspberry Vodka Liqueur in the test tube that you can add for additional poison. A cocktail for those who like it just a teeny bit sweet whilst still being a strong drink.

First time at Suki-Ya KIN First time trying at Suki-Ya KIN’s hotpot… price point is average. Burpple deal not really worth but food wise taste ok. Choices are kinda limited, mostly beef options. If you prefer beef and looking for affordable pricing I think here will be a good place to try.

Beef chuck roll There is only the premium buffet now and was around $43 per pax before Burpple (~$34 with Burpple). Didn't really find it worth because the quality of the food was not great. The soup was not nice too, had to add lots of veggies to make it taste sweeter. The beef chuck roll was very gamey, would suggest to avoid it...

Steak Frites Their new ala carte buffet. They use grass-fed striploin, together with handcrafted fries and a very interesting brandy peppercorn sauce. My medium-done steak was poor, maybe I should've gone medium rare. But the fries were top. My other thought is French cuisine is very rich to be buffet, and I couldn't eat as much as I wanted!

French Duck Leg Confit Their new ala carte buffet. This came with duck fat potato sarladaise, spring vegetables, l’orange sauce. The duck had decent flavour but not the tenderness of other duck confits I've had, and neither the crispy skin, so I definitely expected better. My other thought is French cuisine is very rich to be buffet, and I couldn't eat as much as I wanted!

Organic Eggs Benedict ✨Organic Eggs Benedict✨ One of the best hollandaise sauce I’ve ever had. It has the right amount of butter, egg and lemon, which makes it flavourful and not too watery. The ham and sourdough tasted good as well, but it did not stand out. Would like if they add a special ingredient that makes them different from other cafes💗 The portion does look small, but it was enough to fill the belly🐷 💰: $18 📈: 8/10

Decent Cheese Katsu! Back at @onkei.tonkatsu to try their other tonkatsu variations and was satisfied with their Cheese Rosu-Katsu Set ($19.90)! The pork fillet was quite well fried till golden brown and it was stuffed full of cheese! The meat itself may be a little dry, but it is definitely meaty. The chicken is best paired with the tonkatsu sauce, which was pretty tangy to cut the rich fat flavour from the cheese and meat fillet. They offer free refills of rice, soup and cabbage, and I liked the soup the best due to its rich meaty and umami flavours. This may not be one of the best tonkatsu I've eaten, but it's definitely decent, filling and affordable. A great lunch option for the offices nearby!

Chicken Katsu and Tempura Chicken Katsu is soft and Tempura is crispy. Not too oily. Cabbage is crunchy.

Karage and Oyster Karage is very soft. Oyster is fresh

Sake Bar Ordered a range of foods and drinks. Quite affordable and enjoyable. Great place to bring friends.

Cozy little restaurant A really nice place that's suitable for a quick weekday dinner or even a weekend date! Loved the sake variety here and they pair very well with the food served!

Casual catchup Great environment for a casual catchup over a couple of drinks. They offer sake sampler (sweet and dry) which allows you to try a range of it! Perfect to go with your dishes and if nothing heavy 😊

Teriyaki Salmon Rice Bowl Grilled teriyaki salmon, quinoa, Japanese rice, black rice, spinach, corn, mushroom, onsen egg, blistered tomato, zucchini pickle, edamame, sautéed carrots I was surprised at the generous portion of quinoa and rice with a variety of colourful ingredients. The slab of salmon was done perfectly with crispy skin and flesh without being too dry lightly drizzled with teriyaki sauce and sprinkles of sesame seed 》$18.50

Bad service if you get any!! It is one of the worse places for just coffee! No service and if at all bad. Staff came in and out as waiting for a table. When being served by one, whom walked away to say he will get us the table and he never came back. It’s a madhouse. Had to also wait for clean cups for water. Took over 10 mins to get attention of staff. Would not recommend it. Better places elsewhere.
