Closed at 620pm Burpple states that it's open till 8pm but it was already closed around 6pm

Disappointing They no longer sell bagels but the burpple still says they do; travelled all the way down and was disappointed. Do take note if you plan to head down, they only do the box of six now.

Truffle Beef Bagel ($15.90) We got their truffle beef bagel ($12.90+$3) at the Burpple Food Street on Saturday! Lunch crowd had just rolled in and the wait for 2 bagels was more than 30 min 😓. We were also surprised by the size as it was much smaller compared to the ones given to our friend who had ordered earlier 🤷🏻‍♀️. The beef was cooked well, tender but bordering on chewy. Would give a pass on the truffle the next time as it wasn’t prominent (probably just truffle oil) and not worth the additional $3.

Fake 1 for 1 deals The price has been mark up by additional $5-$10 as compare to normal menu price. Feel cheated

Not a real 1-for-1 deal Been here several times. Food here is 10/10. However, did not appreciate that they have a separate price menu for burpple user without informing us. This menu is priced higher than their normal menu. Ultimately only saved ~$5 as compared to 2 mains from their original menu.

Good bowl of Chirashi Easy fix for a bowl of chirashi. What's funny is that they have a separate pricing menu for those using the Burrple 1 for 1, the prices for it was being jacked up. Strange thou.

Pizza Galore Philly Cheese Steak Pizza: 3.5⭐️ / 5 Redeemed my 1-for-1 specialty pizza here. The Philly cheesesteak pizza was great! However, the meat lover pizza (2⭐️ / 5) was just average & was on the dry side. But will definitely be back for a quick pizza fix nonetheless!

Pasta Enjoyed the carbonara, rich, creamy and cheesy. Sauce sticks to the pasta well. Chicken pieces didnt taste that great.

Mushroom Aglio Olio 1⭐️/5 Applicable for burpple 1-for-1 [$12.90 including GST] Chosen Aglio Olio with spaghetti. The pasta is topped with mushroom, garlic and chilli flakes. The pasta tasted dry and very spicy. The mushroom does not match well with the pasta. I would recommend the pizza instead.

Glean 2/2 - Smoked Pork Carbonara The 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗮 ($18) came with a runny egg that provided the requisite egg porn. The savoury bacon and al dente spaghetti, tossed in the creamy sauce and mixed with the egg, was exquisite. Finally the coffees we ordered (𝗞𝗼𝗽𝗶 $1.80, 𝗜𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗞𝗼𝗽𝗶 𝗖 $3.40) were abhorrent. Any random 2-in-1 would taste infinitely better. But go for the pastas, they’re definitely worth a try.

Glean 1/2 - Mala Chilli Crab Pasta Popped by Glean Cafe because I saw they have 1-for-1 pastas on Burpple Beyond. Although the decor looks pretty, with lots of hanging lights and greenery, I doubt I’d be returning due to the paucity of options on the menu. With only two pastas and three Asian-style dishes on the menu, we took literally one second to decide what to order. Tbh both pastas were well executed and we had no complaints. The 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗯 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮 ($20), with angel hair pasta smothered in a reddish sauce, looked unappetising. But the crab meat was fresh and sweet, while the spicy, numbing sauce was fabulously fragrant.

Steak The steak is perfectly done. Similarly the grilled barramundi and the tiger prawn/scallop linguine except the linguine is abit too salty for me. The waitress is very friendly and attentive.

1-For-1: Lunch Mains/Pasta (~save $34) Perle Noire Oyster & Grill Bar is best known for serving premium steak cuts air-flown from USA, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay and New Zealand. But that’s not all, they also have stellar pasta dishes on their menu! The Tiger Prawns & Scallops Spicy Tom Yum Linguine is the epitome of east meets west.

Signature Wagyu Beef Fried Rice Overall taste was alright however, the minced beef is extremely salty which made the entire dish salty even though I indicated no salt for the fried rice. Also, it is super oily even though I indicated less oil.

Angel Hair Pasta ($16.90 before Burpple Beyond 1-for-1) As for our 2nd main, we went with their angel hair pasta which featured truffle and ikura. We enjoyed this more than the buta mayonnaise. The pasta was al dente and the truffle notes was nutty and earthy without being overwhelming. Portion though was a little on the small side and ikura was also a little on the more side and was closer to ebiko than ikura!

Buta Mayonnaise ($16.90 before Burpple Beyond 1-for-1) Miss K and I were feeling peckish after spending most of Saturday in the office and were in the mood for an early dinner. A quick search of our options on #BurppleBeyond led us to Yakizen, a homely quiet izakaya located right smack in the heart of the CBD along Circular Road. Their 1-for-1 mains options is rather limited. We decided to check out the intriguing buta mayonnaise which featured pan-fried pork belly with mayonnaise. To be honest, this dish turned out better than expected as the rich creamy mayonnaise paired surprisingly well with the savoury teriyaki sauce. It did get a little too cloy towards the end as we did not pair it with rice. The portions though was rather small and at $16.90++ would be rather overpriced without the #BurppleBeyond deal.

Mia Restaurant 4⭐ Back at one of my favourite pasta cafe for dinner. Opt to top up $3 for the handmade tagliatelle and didn't regret it. The tagliatelle is akin to mee pok and yet is much more chewy. The pasta is well coated with the red sauce and is generous with the ingredients which consist of mussel, squid, clam and prawn. WB prefer a non pasta dish hence he had the wagyu burger. There is a choice of doneness for the beef patty and he prefers medium well. The beef patty is juicy and bread is toasted well. Excellent Pasta Dishes Pasta dishes done well. Enjoyed the crabmeat tomato pasta and the vongole. Very worthwhile with the 1 for 1 deal.

Tiramisu was great Recently came back again for their Tiramisu, but decided to have some main dishes since it was 1for1 with the beyond deals. Sadly the crowd was dwindled. But their Tiramisu was still good nonetheless. 1) Tiramisu as usual was damn good. The "cake" wasn't dry whatsoever and was overall quite shiok to eat. Hope they Continue to sell this online. 2) Salmon Ochazuke - The Chunk of Salmon was cooked well as it had a silky smooth texture. Paired with Brocoli and rice. Not filling though. 3) Squid Ink Pasta with prawns- nothing really special, prawns were fresh though.

Lemon cake was chefs kiss Don’t be deceived by the sweet appearance of the lemon loaf just because it is topped with icing cream and petals. The sourness from the lemon hits you the moment it enters your mouth! Thanks to the fluffiness and the additional step of warming the cake, it melts in your mouth and allows for the flavour to kick in immediately. It was almost like eating cotton candy! Cosy corner along Lorong Kilat Patronised c&c thanks to Burpple 1 for 1 beverages. Undeniably the cups are huge but not something I would pay full price for. Pictured above are the hojicha and matcha lattes at approx $8 each at regular price. However, it’s worth considering if you are looking for a place to hang out as it is really peaceful.

Ok, with 1-for-1 Ordered 1-for-1 brunch, Big Breakfast and Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. Big Breakfast: expected it to be better for the price, the toast was kinda hard to cut, bacon was slightly over fried and hard, the egg mushrooms and sausage were okay Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict: this was good, but sadly they ran out of brioche bread and I had to top up $3 for croissant
