Priced at $5 for the smallest portion, there was already a queue once the shutters were up. Waited for about 15 mins as each plate were individually fried and prepared. The dish was packed with wokhey and the it was a comfortable sharing dish/ portion for 2 people.

Priced at $5.50 ($5 just for the large intestines and $0.50 for the kway), it can be considered slightly pricey but as an occasional indulgence, I was comfortable with it. Was glad to have the option to order just the large intestines since I was not a big fan of the other ingredients. The elderly lady stall owner checked that I was alright to pay the minimum $5 for this custom order before she started preparing, citing inflation. The intestines was cleaned well, without the smell that lingers if not throughly cleaned and the broth had a herbal base which was light on the palate! I guess this was a win since I settled for this due to the other stall being closed!

The only burpple deal at Parkway Parade. Pictured are the classic with 2 toppings. Tried the mango and lychee boba but they were underwhelming.

Teng Ji Fried Fish Soup. Priced at $5.50 and $6 (with rice/ noodles), this place serves one of the nicest fish soup/ porridge that I’ve had with very generous amount of fresh fish slices.

Though not listed on their menu, you can order for ‘her mueh’ which is fish porridge where cooked rice is added to the fish soup. It’s absolutely nostalgic as the standard is comparable to a famous stall in Whampoa.

Patronised c&c thanks to Burpple 1 for 1 beverages. Undeniably the cups are huge but not something I would pay full price for. Pictured above are the hojicha and matcha lattes at approx $8 each at regular price. However, it’s worth considering if you are looking for a place to hang out as it is really peaceful.

This medium sized acai bowl could feed 2 people comfortably and prices range from $9.50 - $12.50. The particular bowl was the Yuzu themed one that cost $10.50. The sorbet, acai and ingredients were filled to the brim! Highly recommended if you are around the area! No alfresco or dine in (though they have a very small sitting room for 2 people outside the shop) and there are 2 high tables for you to stand and eat. Do remember to show get the loyalty cards stamped!

Quaint little space at Beauty World! This rice bowl set me back by $13 which was alright considering the generous amount of salmon! I have tried many rice bowls and this one ranks as one of the top of my list!

Found this place thanks to Burpple 1 for 1! Ordered the Mala Intestines dry noodles ~$14

The mala flavour was fragrant and not for the faint hearted or those that cannot withstand mala! The intestines were chewy and flavourful, egg was great and the noodles were chewy (not over cooked).

Worth a try at the Funan area!

Decent portion but the fish batter can be improved. One of the healthier options in the menu and do remember to ask for no oil!

Found this place thanks to Burpple Premium! They have a fixed selection for the burpple deal so we went for the Spicy Tuna and Salmon Teriyaki. $20 for both thanks to the deal. Place wasn’t crowded on a weekday and the ambience was comfortable to chat without raising your voice.

Though pricey (min. $50 spending/ person), I must admit the food were quite good. Loco Moco, Ahi Poke, Fish & Chips, Mushroom Pasta, Curry Samosa and Nachos are pictured here. The food were served fast and the staff were all very attentive.

Found this hole in the wall Japanese place in Everton. Food came fast shortly after I paid at the cashier. Pictured here is the Aburi Salmon Don ($13.80), was pleasantly surprised to see sashimi added on as a garnish rose. The salmon slices were ok (not the most fantastic) but I would give this place a second try for the other options! The Chawanmushi ($2.80) was good!
