Pizzas (from $20.90++ to $27.90++ U.P.; On Burpplebeyond) My 2nd visit to introduce the delicious pizzas here to my extended family. An amazing “good for groups” option, I beamed pridefully when across the table everyone nodded in approval of how these pizzas were a mark above many other commercial pizza places. I’d like to think it just brings me great joy (and pride) when my loved ones enjoy good food (I suggested) together. 🙊

Portobello Burger ($20) A completely vegan restaurant which prioritises health, the food has a very meditarranean taste to it. The surprising thing about this meal was the fact that the burger did not include brioche buns but rather the burger was made by the mushroom itself. Even though some parts may taste bland, together with the dehydrated chips, pineapple and beetroot patty, the burger had a nice sweet tinge. The service is quite good despite the lack of staff. Clarify with the staff how you can use the deals before ordering! They are more than happy to clarify any issues.

Portobello Burger ($20++ U.P.), Zucchini Noodle Carbonara ($16++ U.P.); Both On Burpplebeyond [TLDR Alert] My family and I have bought into the propaganda of Netflix Documentaries- Game Changers and What the Health. What this means is an attempt to maintain a vegan diet (plant based diet) which is difficult with what the F&B scene in SG has available so we give ourselves some leeway of vegetarian options when dining out. But at wholesome savour, the vegan theme is the pride of the menu. Take this portobello burger for example, the large dark mushroom serves as the burger bun with animal free ingredients; the mycoprotien chicken (plant based meat) reminded me of unseasoned mash potatoes which complimented a pleasantly tart beetroot patty. Other delightfully ingredients included the diary free cheese which has sent me stocking up on all the dairy free cheese I’ve found on redmart because I cannot live without cheese and these are some great cheese. Lastly the dehydrated chips will feel like tasty substitutes to your usual chips, warmly welcomed by my mum and I aka crisp lovers. Separately we also had the zucchini carbonara with some savoury coconut bacon and a fun tasty nut sauce. Sadly I found the zucchini noodles too crunchy for my liking because I was expecting noodle texture. All in all, kudos to Burpplebeyond for a vegan treat at an affordable price point.

Negg’s Benedict A good attempt looks-wise in replicating the classic eggs ben. I love the avocado (replacing the egg) but I found the ‘hollandaise sauce’ a little too sourish. Ambience here was nice and generally quiet :) One for one on selected dishes using Burpple beyond

DIY Pasta (Burpple 1 For 1) $8.90 for 2 DIY pastas under Burpple 1 for 1 Tbh it wasn’t as nice as I remember it to be from last time at their CBD outlet. But their garlic bread is still 💯. The pasta lacked flavour and I had to add a fair bit of salt to get some taste out of it. I guess they might be better for their pizzas? Stillll a very good deal with burpple 1 for 1 and works if you’re craving for some quick pasta (not Italian kind of pasta but the more casual American kind of pasta)

DIY Pizza from Knicker + Bockers! This is the NY Herb Crust (thicker and round) with Garlic Pesto sauce. Got 4 cheeses on this: gouda, mozzarella, monterey jack and parmesan. Topped with baby spinach, button mushroom, cherry tomato, beef pastrami, smoked duck, calamari and prawn. Everything was great! Fresh ingredients, generous portions and friendly staff - what's not to love? They're a little hard to find, but you need to go up to the 4th floor via Isetan's escalators! Pizza from Knicker + Bockers! I think this place is underrated. Their DIY pizza allows you to choose a pizza base, vegetarian toppings, meat toppings, cheese and a sauce. I got the Cali Style pizza base (thin, oval shaped) with Classic Tomato sauce. I got 3 different types of cheese (gouda, mozzarella, parmesan) and various ingredients including pineapple, zucchini, button mushroom, fresh mushroom, cherry tomato, herbed chicken, chicken sausage, crumpled beef and prawn. My only regret was the zucchini because it wasn't cooked through and hence too firm for my liking. Everything else was really yummy and tasted high quality!! Coffee one for one Been wanting to try this place and was in the vicinity. Price is good with burpple but you get a weak or milder coffee. Taste of coffee is really weak but I guess good enough for a post lunch pick me up.

a slightly below average cup of coffee was quite hard to find as there was no unit 114 but it's this shop that says 112-116. the coffee was kinda disappointing, esp the hot expresso we ordered - taste of coffee was sooo mild it was almost like hot milk. the latte was as mid as it gets without much coffee fragrance or milkiness. wouldn't come back again even with burpple beyond. service was rly good though!

blink, and you’ll miss this tldr; this place is easily missed, and can be given a miss. Beyond makes the trip worthwhile, but i wouldn’t otherwise return. affordable coffee at $7 for 2 cups of oat latte, for what i would reckon as rather ordinary. i do feel the espresso shot was under-extracted, as the acidic taste was dominant especially in the iced oat latte. hot oat latte was alright though.

Not Bad The char shao came highly recommended but I felt that it was a tad dry even though the seasoning was good. Loved the wantons in XO sauce though! Delightfully crispy and the springy filling was nicely seasoned. Sauce was yummy too! Noodles were al dente but the seasoning was very light (add chilli to amp up the flavour)! The free flow soup was also a bit salty btw.

Atas wanton mee with pork belly, wanton and more. Beautifully made char siew and pork belly 😋. There are two kinds of people - those who like their wanton mee with thin noodles (you mian) and those who like it a little thicker. We are starting to see more shops serving up wanton mee with springy, chewy and thicker noodles such as Eng's and Wanton Seng. Personally, both are nice as long as the noodles is Q. Radish Cake The menu described it to be a lot better than it tasted. The radish are hidden underneath the eggs but it was too mushy than the normal radish cake which made eating it a little gelak after a while. We had the roast pork and the Sichuan dumplings as well. The roast pork is a must have, too busy eating that no picture was taken 🙈

Mango coco 13.4++ add on almond thins +1.9++ THEY ARE CLOSING THIS WEEK The waffles were decent. Mango was way too sour. Coconut ice cream sucks, it's way too cold and lacks flavour Almond thins were brilliant. Super aromatic from the nuts, with a really satisfying crunch. Not sure what the translucent parts are but hey if it's this good I'm not complaining The queue is insane nowadays so please come with a reservation

sunday folks the earl grey lavender waffle was a chef’s kiss… 😍 perfect dessert to end off a hike

red velvet cheesecake waffles ($11.50) as usual, the soft serve was rich in sightly salty cheese flavour!! the little cubes of red velvet cake topped w lemon custard were also a nice topping. would always recommend sunday folks for ice cream, but a little stingy with their waffles, can skip and get cones/cups instead

Ribeye 200g [$31.90 for 2 pax] Probably 4th or 5th visit to Stirling Steaks, but 1st time to this outlet! Overall 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Ordered the rare ribeye 200g for 2 of us, with a side of truffle fries. Loved the steak sauce, and the truffle fries were good too! My steak was soft, although my bf’s one had quite a lot of chewy parts. Comparing to my previous review, seems like they raised the price by a dollar. Still worth it though. They also serve free iced water so you can save on drinks 😊 customer service has always been good every time we visit. Would definitely come back here many times over!

1 For 1 Ribeye Or Sirloin Burpple beyond / entertainer Awesomely grilled beef served with generous portion of your choice of carb - mash or fries! Ribeyes are fattier while sirloin is more lean! Both taste good and worth it for the portion.

Awesome Steak! We opted for the 250g ribeye done medium rare with truffle fries using burpple beyond 1 for 1 deal. Wow! We were blown away. It was spot on. Medium rare done right. Paired well with the truffle fries. Yes we will definitely visit again!

Penang Bagus Value for money for the price we paid! The food met our expectations!

Chendol Bingsu ($11.90+ Sharing Portion) The starkly green pandan jelly was too much to be completely natural but I did toast hints of pandan in them. That aside everything else in the bowl made this a good rendition- tribute to the chendol we are familiar with as Singaporeans; unadulterated ingredient include red beans, Gula Melaka sauce and coconut milk.

Penang Bagus! Really interesting concept of Korean and Penang food fusion. We tried their penang char kway teow (this is the upsized version) and it was full of wok hei and flavour despite missing the dark sauce! We also tried the Assam laksa which had a tangy and flavourful broth, really delicious! Highly recommend trying both these dishes and since it’s on Burpple Beyond you can get both for the price of one which is an absolute steal!! We also tried the chendol bingsu which is traditional flavours with a modern fusion twist and this was pretty delicious too 😛 #burpplesg #burpple #burpplebeyond
