Cruffins are here in SG!! Has the delight of having baked goods from bakery brera at Science Cafe Infuse!! Thrina was so generous and gave so many free breads to take home (but I didnā€™t get any sadly). Cruffin is an amazing version of muffin and croissant. It was not too sweet and the chocolate was amazing with a taste of cherry.

Very excited to head to bakery brera just located next to Farrer park circle line station for authentic baguette, sourdough and the seemingly endless selection of pastries! Thank you to the Infuse team at A*STAR for another wonderful and sumptuous evening!

Did I magically teleport to HK? Not really, but man the Tsui Wah in SG is giving čŒ¶é¤åŽ…a run for their money. Food:4.5/5šŸŒŸ;service:3/5šŸŒŸ. You totally get the full Hk experience, where you feel rather cramped and service is at a premium. Queue was about half hour on Sunday night and you get free water to keep cool and quench your thirst.

Comfort food for Hongkies like me. I truly enjoyed my pork chop bun and boiled coke with lemon (Ling lok in canto; donā€™t judge, its good for the cold, as my grandma and Mom told me). Everyone LOVED the condensed milk bun å„¶ę²¹ēŒŖļ¼Œand indeed it was almost the same as what you get in HK! Crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, with a generous serving of condensed milk. We probably had two slices (a full order) each, or even more. The fishball with noodles and black pepper beef spaghetti were very tasty too. The iced milk tea was very satisfying, the perfect balance of milk and tea. Not too bitter, not too dilute m; we did finish it very quickly so no dilution was accounted for.

Canā€™t wait to be back with my hb for my favorite baked cheesy pork chop rice šŸ½šŸ§€šŸšand more condensed milk bun and classic Hk milk tea! Tsui Wah SG approved! Now I finally have somewhere to go for my Hk cafe cravings.

Get the classic! The Asian donā€™t need to bother. The sauce was a dry paste so it didnā€™t really cover the patty. Didnā€™t taste wasabi or siracha mayo. The patty still has a funky aftertaste, definitely did not fool me to think it was meat. The slaw had not much taste, should be pickled for more flavor. The burger was much smaller than the classic.

Sorry my dear friends who Iā€™ve misled to try the Asian. For those who try tomorrow, go for the classic! At least the cold veggies problem is solved.

Overall the beyond burger patty had good chewiness but was very dry. You need a good vehicle of melted cheese and lots of flavorful sauce to enhance the experience. Personally, it doesnā€™t satisfy my meat craving, nor was it better than veggie patties I get from Trader Joeā€™s or the classic Indonesian seitan.

P.S. the burger shrank from day 1. I can eat 1.5 of them or even 2. Went with my friends for dinner round 2 cos it was just not satisfying. And everyone was so desperate for a drink, why? Thereā€™s not supposed to be any MSG in the patty!!!

How was the plant based Beyond burger? Yes, it was good for the novelty. I love food trucks and love the vibe here, but for $10, seems like they only cooked the patty and bun....

As a meat lover, this was overall ok. I was very surprised by how half the burger felt warm and the other cold. The patty, when eaten alone, didnā€™t have much taste. The sauce, however, went well with the patty. Texture and color was also not close enough to beef. It had ok chewiness but not what I wanted in a beef patty, not dense enough? Color was very very red as well. Also, the veggies were not cooked so the onions were too raw for me. the veggies made the patty cold too quickly. And the cheese was mild in flavor and kept breaking into small pieces. Melted cheese in a burger please!!!!

Will be back to try the Asian burger tomorrow. #futurefood #plantbasedburger #beyondburger #alternativeprotein #drklingeats #stillprefermeatpatties #culturedmeat #wheredoesyourfoodcomefrom #grandhyattsg #mezza9sg

Happy hour at Cafe Iguana ($40 for a jug of magaritas before 7pm or after 10pm). Waiting for my buddies to arrive, I managed to instagram the moment. Brings us back to our JC days n years ago šŸ˜…

Pricing of food was rather expensive between 25-40SGD (how did we afford it back then??). Food was so so. If I will be back itā€™ll be for the happy hour original/peach magaritas (which was beyond sad after it melted in an hour) and the one tiny bowl of chips and salsa. Nice chill out atmosphere along Singapore River at Riverside Point. Donā€™t expect much from service - very crowded so just keep waving to get attention.

White curry is eye opening!! The udon version is a little dilute for me but flavor is still great! And the iberico Katsu is amazing!! Love the fat and tender pork. The fried oysters are great too. And the truffle chawanmushi is an amazing addition too! Great deal for only $15.80.

Sydney must try - Maryā€™s burger ($17) with trashcan bacon ($4). So good!! Indeed David Changā€™s recommendation was spot right.

The meat patty was just juicy and generously coated with melty oozy cheese. So good! The burger bun was nicely fried and had a good amount of butter. And the Maryā€™s sauce made sure the burger wasnā€™t too dry. Comes with fries, which are probably frozen. The soggy ones are not too bad.

The location might be hard to find as there wasnā€™t a restaurant sign. But donā€™t dismiss it! Check out photos from google to find it. Definitely a gem. #sydney #marysburger #newtown #burger #drklingeats

Fun and adventurous experience. There is an old and new side of the market. I personally prefer the old side, which you will access directly if you came from the train station. Itā€™s definitely wet and dirty but you enjoy such an unique experience!

Honestly most of the stores sell similar items, and I kind of got overwhelmed from them trying to sell their seafood. Some were extra friendly and allowed us to take pictures with their lobsters and even octopus!

My favorite part was trying raw octopus (10k won for 4 small ones). I would definitely try it again. Being a little squirmish, I started with small tentacles and kept chewing on it. I didnā€™t experience getting sucked by the tentacles thankfully. The freshness and delicious flavor is a huge draw for me!

The drawbacks of the market was that the prices were a little high - 190k won for tiger striped fish sashimi and 170k won for crab. The ladies brought us to the restaurant behind (quite old looking and abit shabby). We were charged 100k won for the cooking and other dishes (ban chan, rice) for 9 adults and 2 Children. The tiger striped fish was served as sashimi and the bones were boiled as spicy or non spicy soup. The crab was boiled and tasted very sweet. The fat from the shell was then used to fry rice with seaweed for about 3 portions - tasted very good too.

I donā€™t know if you can haggle much but it is definitely worth it to check out a few stores before deciding which to go to. One of my favorite experiences in my trip to Seoul/Jeju!

If I would eat another thing again at @vividsydney , thatā€™ll be #lechonfries from @mateburger

Delicious Philippine style fries with crispy pork skin and juicy pork sliced. The skinny fries are well fried and had a good amount of potato in them! The mayo, spring onion and chili also gave the fries a nice kick when you bit into them! For $15 itā€™s a good amount to share! #sydney #drklingeats #loadedfries

Veggie and cheese and beef gozleme from the Turkish Gozleme at the rocks. The line was very long and made me very curious of the hype. It was worth it!

For $10 you get this giant Turkish flatbread filled with veggies and cheese and flavorful minced beef. Strangely itā€™s only $9.50 for the vegetarian version without beef. The crust is thin and has a nice crisp. #latergram #turkishgozlemeattherocks #sydney #therocksfridayfoodiesmarket

Iā€™ve succumbed to laksa in Sydney! Seeing it in Thai, Chinese, southeast Asian, so many different restaurants, Iā€™ve finally ventured to try it at Spice Alleyā€™s Alex Leeā€™s kitchen. Itā€™s curry bee hoon though, with delicious fried pork! Very nice curry with generous serving of rice vermicelli enough for two. Not laksa but good.

not sure why they have to serve it in plastic disposable bowls. Be prepared as the curry will splash, white is not recommended. The fish goes for about $14AUD. I recommend it for someone looking for a hot bowl of noodles. Also available with chicken, vege or beef. #latergram #laksainsydney #drklingeats

Iā€™ve finally experience the Zumbo! All the hype from friends and the Netflix show. The markytime dessert is definitely not for me. The chocolate and biscuit outer crust was a delight, albeit a little sweet. And the inside was a milk custard with a tasty biscuit crust at the bottom. The dessert definitely gets quite messy while eating it.

Iā€™m not a fan of milk, so thatā€™s why the dessert is a 3.5āļø for me. My hubby enjoyed it a lot though. Definitely ration the chocolate biscuit bits to eat with the milk custard! I canā€™t remember the exact price of the dessert but it was around 8AUD. #latergram #zumbo #desserts #drklingeats
