Pretty cafe food that is a little expensive for the portion but I guess life is like that haha. I liked the creaminess of the cheesecake. It was pretty okay, I think once is enough (for the aesthetic)
I always appreciate handmade stuff as there is so much effort behind every single piece of food presented. The mini paus are bite sized and I got the lotus and char siew pau. I like how even though the pau is small, there is sufficient filling to fill the bite with flavour. It's a very good option for people who feel like having additional sides on top of their meal without feeling too full. Though each pau is $0.60, I would buy this again definitely.
Not many burgers available in the 1-for-1 promo, left with the lamb burger and cheese burger (this one), but it's fine as it's one of their popular items anyway. The service staff was helpful and friendly. As for the burger, I was very pleased with the bun (crispy on the outside and soft on the inside), as well as the fries. Overall this dish wasn't particularly outstanding but for the price I'd definitely be back one day. Plus, it's halal!
Tried 4 flavours: lavender, strawberry chamomile, sea salt caramel, dark chocolate. The flavours were generally rich, especially the lavender. Dark chocolate was really good and a top-seller as promised. Sea salt caramel was predominantly sea salt (and very salty) but it surprisingly went well with the dark chocolate. Ice cream was good, will be back to try the waffles.
A very homely Korean restaurant that offers a HUGE variety of dishes for each category: hotplate, pancake, bbq meats, stew, noodles, etc etc. This was the large black bean sauce noodles ($25, good for 2 pax). It was filled with flavour and the sauce was appetizing, with a generous portion of potato, onions, prawns and squid.
Pretty standard dish, waffles were crispy and the batter was nice, ice cream was pretty good. Cozy atmosphere, would definitely visit often if I lived in that area. Tried their hot chocolate which wasnt that great though, it came in warm with a slightly weird herbal taste.
Set Lunch comes with a salad, main (pasta/roast chicken/pan-seared barramundi), and dessert. While this was tasty and flavourful (fries had a nice crispy texture as well) I felt that the portion was a little too small, maybe in future I'll order the ala-carte dishes which seem to be more substantial and more special.
This was an interesting dish, a thin crust pizza with sweet potato puree and cheese on top. I love how the sweetness came from the sweet potato and the cheese made the pizza slightly more savoury. It came with a small bowl of whipped cream (not pictured) and I found the whipped cream to be unique, never tasted sth like it before. I liked how it was fluffy, airy, and not too sweet and somehow really matches well with the pizza. However, this pizza is probably good for sharing, the whole thing might be too sweet for some.
Maxi Mango sells mango parfaits, the one I got was Mango Coconut which was basically mango softserve with mango, pomelo and coconut bits and nut flakes. This was SO good. They were generous with the toppings and the coconut was a perfect complement to make it super refreshing (especially on a hot day). The softserve was super smooth. The pomelo also fit super well into the parfait as there were "little bursts" of juice with every bite. With the amount of fruits added, it was sweet but not the jelat kind of sweet and it was pleasant finishing the whole thing. Probably the only downside is that it melts super fast so gotta eat it quickly. Would definitely come back again.
Generally a nice acai experience, the ratio of acai to the toppings are pretty equal, I liked the crunch of the nuts and granola to go with the acai. The acai itself was fruity and refreshing. The amount served for the small portion was just right for 1 person.
Featured here is the Duck Duck Goes Quack Quack but I know there are many many other flavours and type of pizzas there. They have different bases such as green tea dough, cheese stuffed pizza, etc. For all the pizzas there was a generous amount of topping. The dough was soft and nice to chew. Perhaps there could be a thin crust option, but otherwise, a very pleasant meal.
Very very worth the $5 and tastes so good and homely. The chicken was juicy and tender, the rice soft and fragrant, the sambal chilli was also delicious, and the fact that you have a free flow serving of fried crumbs just makes it perfect to eat. It's the kind where eating it doesn't make you full but actually increases your appetite for more so I guess it's pretty much magic, imo.
