This is super super nice - the tea flavour is mild and refreshing. The cone is also very nice? I realise they make the cone themselves so it tasted a bit like hard waffle.

This is $8.90 and comes with a drink too! Sometimes itโ€™s a little dry while sometimes itโ€™s quite moist so itโ€™s not v consistent and can get quite jelat. But I still like it especially the first few bites LOL.

Oh, this was so delicious, especially the juicy nutty satay at the side. The fried rice was really savoury too and tasted great together with the fried egg ๐Ÿ˜ต but a small ็พŽไธญไธ่ถณ was that the fried rice felt a tad too salty to me :(

Other than this, I also had strawberry virgin margarita and cheesy waffle fries. The virgin margarita was nice and very berryish but maybe I should have ordered the alcoholic one instead cos the size of mine was quite small for $12 (the alcoholic margarita was quite huge and had alcohol haha and was $16). The waffles fries was crispy and the criss-crossiness of the fries was interesting! But I also found it a tad too salty :(

But all in all, it was a nice dining experience complimented with rather good singing at the side heheh.

So, I was on Dayre one day and saw a Dayrean raving about the food in DBRJ and ofc I had to visit haha. From outside, the restaurant looks unassuming and I probably wouldn't take a second look at it if not for the recommendation.

We ordered a total of 6 dishes there, namely green bean glass noodles, salted egg pumpkin, pork and leek boiled dumplings, sweet and sour fish, tomato fried egg and fried beancurd skin strips. I must say, the food there was really nice and the price was pretty decent given the large portions. We spent $64 for the above 6 dishes with 3 bowls of rice and drinks for 5 people.

The nicest dishes to me were the green bean glass noodles and the sweet and sour fish. The glass noodles are much like the kind you can find in the Korean andong jimdak, and tasted really chewy and tasty. The cucumber and slight sourness of the dish was very appetising to me. Similarly, the sweet and sour fish tasted like tangsuyuk which I tried in Korea but even better?! I liked how it was soft and crispy. Special mention also goes to the fried beancurd skin which was surprisingly savoury and soupish.

In all, I utterly enjoyed my meal :) but oh ya, the restaurant was a little noisy and do make a reservation before going down too.

Delicious post-dinner treat at an authentic eatery I call my new favourite place for Pad Thai. Definitely one of the better versions around, this version had an amazing al dente texture, a pleasing smoky fragrance, and just the right balance of sweet & savoury flavours.

Nothing beats having a plate full of everything I love - the nyonya chap chye, curry chicken and crispy pork chop. This never fails to hit all the right spots every single time I have it, and always reminds me of my grandfather's cooking.

Looks nice but it is quite dry and lacking the wok hei taste. It is also a bit overpriced, $6 or $8 I can't remember.

Indulge in this chocolate fudge cake that's not over the top sweet yet decadent and yarmmnmmyyy.... There's a reason people keep coming back for more

Slathered with a generous amount of their respective spreads coupled with a rustic yet simple presentation, these toasts were already visually astounding (and appetite-inducing!!!) upon arrival. Came with high expectations to finally try these babies, and boy WAS I SATISFIED.

The sage cream cheese and berry compote toast ($4) was absolutely luscious โ€” a savoury cream cheese spread with strong hints of sage nestled underneath a semi-sweet glaze made from an assortment of berries. Not forgetting the thick, crisp sourdough toast that made a perfect base for this marriage of flavours!!

But my winner was the nut butter, honey and sea salt toast ($4). One bite into this gem and I was F-L-O-O-R-E-D. Thick, creamy and slightly salty nut butter with a fragrant nutty flavour, alongside an adorable circular drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of sea salt atop a similarly perfectly crisp (but slightly less thick) piece of sourdough โ€” this, was a match. made. in. heaven and an explosion in my mouth!!! ๐Ÿ˜

I LOVE bread and this has definitely become my go-to breakfast place from now on. Heck, I'd have this for any meal anytime, provided that their toasts stop selling out so fast, please?!
