Went there for the waffle that my friend recommended. The waffle is crispy, thick and portion is big too. The scoop of ice cream is a bit small when the waffle is big. Truffle fries is also recommended. You can surely taste the truffle in the fries. Rainbow cake comes in white chocolate and dark chocolate too. I had the dark chocolate one. Not too sweet for my taste. Wings are crispy, honey sweet with a pinch of spiciness. Tried the mini hawaiian pizza. Sorry missed out the photo. Small but full with toppings. Not too bad!

And i'm glad i did.

Light and fruity are the 2 traits of the coffee roasts. This is light enough for me as i can't have too strong a coffee.

Tucked away in the old Tiong Bahru Estate, this new cafe adopts a minimalistic feel with white brick walls and i especially love the semi open roof concept which allows the natural light to come in through the window.

Not as good as the one in orchard central- it was already softer than expected initially 3/5 for the price is quite steep at $9; i tried the green tea one only did not try the exclusive version

Coffee is pretty good ☕. My only gripe is that the Latte art is rubbish - sort of like what I am capable of. I don't care for "instagrammable" photos 📷 or flat-lays, but when you pay for a cup of coffee at a café, you're paying for the Latte Art 🎨 too. Why else should it be more expensive than in a non-cafe setting? (Besides the comfortable environment, air-conditioning, service, yes yes I know all of this.)

The decor here is excellent & the place is brightly lit, which makes me happy. Also, there was a sewing machine under my table. & you can play the ukuleles they have hung up on the walls 😉

This place has really good angmoh dishes with Asian twists like laksa pasta and ramen burgers. Don't know about the burgers but the laksa pasta and this carbonara were both amazing!!! The carbonara was very rich and creamy but doesn't make you jelat at all, unlike most creamy dishes I've had. Very reasonably priced too. Highly recommended!

Unusual in shape and exceptional in flavour. Just look how silky that egg custard is, in its flaky, buttery, angular pastry shell.

Lucky to get our metal bowl of "liao" at around 11.40 and check out that queue. People(including us)could be seen camping around around as early as before 11 😰

Rushing and excitement begins when the signage flickers on and simultaneously everyone starting participating in their 100m dash, while I scored fourth place 😂 *auntie mode on*

Being a first timer here, I hear experienced uncles chanting their order in fluent hokkien while I tried my best to decipher whatever they said and caught the main point at least

The fierce owner uncle will not ask you what you want but you have to tell him...

1) Vegetables?
2) ikan bilis?
3)soup or dry?
4)noodles or been hoon?
5)sauce on it or not?

My bowl of ingredients without noodles cost me $5 with really fragrant ikan bili soup lots of kang kong and soft handmade yong tau foo. Cheap and yummy yet healthy supper for us!!!

Confitting does wonders in rendering the chicken flesh tender and moist. Finished off on the grill for a nice char on the skin and topped with onion gravy, this hit all the right savoury notes for me. The mac and cheese on the side was more akin to a creamy pasta and could have done with a stronger cheese flavour, but otherwise went very well with the chicken.

Taste: 3.5/5
