Was found this Thai food restaurant at Seri Gembira Avenue, Sri Petaling and give it a try. Environment is good, with air-conditioner and also outdoor seats. Although it is almost full but the service is good and serving speed is super. BBQ Pork Neck (RM29.90) is the good one among the other dishes we ordered. It taste like Char siew from those chicken rice stall. Not really that authentic. A little bit pricey.
S.Wine is famous with 🐷 dishes, especially when it is hidden in B.I.G grocery in Publika. Trends like the more hidden place it is, the more people would pay a visit. The reputation of S.Wine is always good as I heard from people around me, however it is always full at night, especially when dinner time. Was at there during lunch hour and surprisingly it is empty. Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop (RM28), one of the dishes in their Asian menu, served with steamed rice, fried egg, lemongrass soy and salted egg and duck soup. Nothing to complain with the pork Chop, well cooked. Very Asian kinda dish. The sauce more or less like chili that serve for chicken rice, duck soup is a bit oily to me.
Ipoh Market Street is one of the favourite for those who work around KL City Centre. It located in Avenue K, while you have to wait for seats during lunch hour. They serve various type of local Chinese cuisine, it's almost can say like you name it they have it. Har Mee (RM11.90) with choices of noodles, eggs, fish cakes and some greenies. The portion might not big and it taste a bit like curry noodles. But overall is good. Friendly staff. A good place for lunch or dinner with families. They even serve breakfast set and desserts like Tau Fu Far.
It's located next to Jalan Sungai Besi, which basically you cannot be unseen as there is a huge signboard that stated 'Kohi Yatta' and facing to the road. Hachi Gyu Rice (RM25) serve with honey coated beef, sunny side up egg, pickled radish and rice. It's a little bit of disappointing that the taste of honey had covered the taste of beef. But still, I guess anything with honey is good. Portion is just enough for guy. Matcha latte (RM13) is a wrong choice here, prefer to have stronger taste of matcha. But still, I'll be back for their other coffee.
A Chinese restaurant that located at Gohtong Jaya, with a yellow colour of signboard with it. A fun fact at this place is, there are a lot of Chinese restaurant that serve with different types of food, steamboats, bak kut teh or steamed fish, but still every restaurant are full of people. Sin Kie is a family oriented restaurant that people will ordered steamed fish or chicken, but only some people knew that their signature is actually Cantonese Yuan Yang. The photo above is served for 3 pax, was purposely ordered this as appetizer before the feast begin. Usually people will noticed that the noodles might be overcooked and it taste burnt, or the sauce might not enough and eventually it dried up. But as you can see from the photo, large size, enough of sauces and well-cooked noodles, it comes with a conclusion, you'll finish everything on the plate !
A cute cafe that nestled in the area that famous with heavy traffic condition everyday. Taman Connaught seems like a place that always full of cars and people, busy hustling area which kinda reminds me of Bangkok. WichDay had been opened for quite some time but didn't manage to pay them a visit until now. Ordered yam lava toast (RM16.50) because the word 'Yam' seems like very attractive. The toasts and waffle require about 30minutes to prepare. It's kinda good thing to me as they concern about the quality of the food. However, lava Toast seems like quite failed because it's not really have lava Toast effect. But overall, it's pretty good. Although it might not as good as 'M' brand's toast but with their yam ice cream and yam fillings, what can I say, I can finish it all by myself. Of course, it does serve with whipped cream along but what I feel is the yam ice cream had adding much points to the toast.
Although Breakfast Thieves had been opened for business for almost a year but still the hype is still there. If you are lucky enough like me, you won't have trouble to queue for seats at weekends morning. My French Lady (RM25) still the top of my list. It is not really look like this if you aware my previous post on BT because they might have some arrangement on its appearance, still it is still delicious like it should be. French toast is even better when you consume with the jam that served along. Cappucino (RM11) a little bit of expensive compare to the others. If you prefer a good one, maybe you can get a decent coffee that next to it 😉
DR Inc. always came out with special kind of drinks like mixture of a tall glass of coke with a shot of espresso. Fat Americano (RM14) taste sweeter than Presso Bomb, another signature drink in shop. Still think that Presso Bomb is better than this. Maybe is because I'm not a fans of coke and would prefer ice cream soda. But can't denied, it is still a good place to chill.
It used to be a hype here. Or maybe still yes. Was visit this place while the students nearby are having sem break, plus it is a public holiday so the cafe seems to be too quiet around the area. Matcha Adzuki waffle (RM17.90) seems to be a little bit of expensive compare to the other waffle out there, serve with a scoop of matcha ice cream and some adzuki bean (red mung) paste beside. It's a little bit of disappointment as the waffle is not what we expected. Not crispy not soft. Cappuccino (RM10.90).
One of the best Char Kuey Teow place in Georgetown. What makes them famous is they use charcoal to cook Char Kuey Teow instead of using Liquefied Petroleum Gas. To be honest the taste is different using different kind of fuel for cooking. Ordered the Char Kuey Teow (RM10) that serve with three big prawns, bean sprouts and some cockles. Don't ask for extra spicy or no spicy, it might not taste like what it should be. If you worry bout the hot weather, they do have Ice Kacang too.
An ages kopitiam that located in Raja Uda, which you can tell from the interior design. Not really sure either it is introduce by any bloggers around penang, but it seems to have a long queue in front of the kedai kopi, waiting for their turn to have this, prawn mee. The portion is not really big, serve with fish balls, char siew, fish cakes, fried onion and bean sprouts. The taste might not strong as what you think, which you can tell from the colour. Not that spicy if you concern about that. Their Cham ice is a bit sweet, not really can taste the flavour of the coffee and tea, just sweet.
7 Village is a franchises that specialist on Kuey Teow around Penang. Not sure is there any around Georgetown but in Butterworth, it seems like quite easy to be found, like fast food restaurant. Their Dry Kuey Teow (RM8.50) is quite special as they serve with soft boiled egg, some pork meats, fish balls, vegetables, lards and choices of noodles. The portion is not really that big, definitely not enough for guys, taste is like normal Kuey Teow. On the side note, it does not serve with a soup like you can get it in KL. Their interior actually reminds me of HK Char Chan Teng. They also serve toast and some side dishes.
