𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶 𝗬𝘂𝘇𝘂 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁 The tarts from @abrief.respite are probably one of the, if not the most, intricate and aesthetic tarts we have ever laid our eyes on! The gorgeous "𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴" 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘅 ($𝟱𝟴) featured: 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗞𝗼𝗰𝗵𝗶 𝗬𝘂𝘇𝘂 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁 Kochi yuzu crémeux, Mango pomelo compote, Madagascan vanilla chantilly, Vanilla almond frangipane, Lemon confit, Fresh herb This was the most refreshing out of all the tarts! Not only was it visually stunning, we could really taste each of the fruits incorporated into this tart. Definitely one for the fruit lovers.

𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝘁 Valrhona dark chocolate ganache, Pecan praline, Glenfiddich whisky whipped ganache, Valrhona 62% namelaka, Toasted pecan We expected this to be surfeiting but were delighted by the boozy punch from the whipped whisky ganache. The combination of chocolate and alcohol worked seamlessly and we enjoyed this greatly.

𝗚𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗷𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁 (𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗹𝗻𝘂𝘁) Valrhona gianduja ganache, Salted hazelnut feuilltine crunchie, Passionfruit mousse, Toasted hazelnuts The most “simple” looking tart, we did not expect to find fruity notes of passionfruit in the mousse ring atop the tart. Hazelnut lovers would enjoy this and the passionfruit mousse cuts through the richness.

Iced White $6 @doubleup.coffee is a quiet, minimalist hole-in-the-wall specialty coffee store in Kampong Glam that’s a great alternative to buzzier cafes in the area if you’re looking for a respite from the heat and maddening crowd. - The roast for the day happened to be from the Ijen Lestari coffee farm in Java, Indonesia. It boasted a subtle sweet and nutty character, with notes of raisins, almonds and cherry. The resulting iced white was smooth, mild yet flavourful. - If you’re looking for a bite, do note there’s currently no food menu here. - Taste: 3.5/5

☕️ Wanted to rest my legs for a bit and grab a quick drink. This was one of the cafes in the area that was still open at 5pm. The cafe is small but the seats are spaced apart nicely. The coffee I had was strong and gave the boost I needed.

Blueberry latte Made with real blueberries and caffeine free, Haven coffee offers a wide variety of non caffeinated options for non coffee drinkers and kids. I enjoyed munching the blueberries and the creaminess/sweetness of the milk. It does reminds me of the blueberry ice cream from Andersen's of Denmark.

Signature Wanton Mee @ $4.50 Springy Noodles, and chilli not bad. Can eat if nearby. No need to travel all the way here 4 this. Portion quite big, wife couldn't finish.

Battle Of Wanton Mee CCK190 was okay, but it's outdone in practically every department by 51明发, which is possibly the best wanton mee to me. Its seasoning and soup are the mark of a master.

CCK190 Wanton Mee Ordered the spicy black sauce Wanton Mee. The fried wantons were crispy and appetizing. Dip them in the sweet chilli sauce...yumz! What really stood up was the dumpling soup. The dumpling was so plump and was filled with prawn and minced meat.
