Fried Cauliflower This one of the mezzes. It wasn't too oily. The cauliflower is abit salty and sourish. It is more on the softer side rather than crunchy. Their top recommendation was Aubergine but i would recommend this as well.

Can't believe almost a month has past since we dined at Burnt Ends... 😐 It was tough getting a reservation towards the end of last year, but we were lucky to have scored one! We had an absolutely amazing dining experience. From small plates, main courses, to dessert🍬, the food was exquisitely presented and we loved the combination of flavours. Do try their Blackmores' cube roll🥩...it's THAT good! 😌

Delicious food, great drinks and lovely ambience! One of my favourite bars with delicious and decently priced food!! A must try would be the Hatten Cheese ($8) this cheese fishcake dish is simple yet mindblowing - love the drinks here as well especially the umeshu ($8), very lovely ambience and perfect for date nights!

Mentaiko Udon With Kimchi It’s quite a find for this japanese izakaya place along the whole stretch of boat quay! Very chill ambiance with super goood izakaya variety and they have rather reasonable priced sake on promotions. One of my favorite was this mentaiko udon with kimchi, simple but very light and refreshing, could just easily slurp the whole bowl down. Other than that must try their battered squid too! It’s amazingly good!

the KFC Legend For $2.50 a chunk, it may seem overpriced. But the way they prepared it (24h marination) allowed the flavours to seep into all of the meat & skin. It simply slides off the bone. Called KFC (katanashi fried chicken), it may trump the original one. Also, A+ for service, value and views here

Hot Chocolate [$6] Wanted to get a cup of hot drink after our dinner and found ourselves at Flagwhite! My friend went with the matcha latte that uses powder from Matchaya, while I got myself a hot chocolate that uses chocolates from Fossa. They have it in 70% and 80% chocolate, and I ordered the latter on recommendation by the staff. Enjoyed the fragrant bittersweet notes!

Honey Mustard Pork Ribs Was expecting soft tender ribs but turns out the ribs were tough. The honey mustard sauce was good but wasn’t enough to save this dish. The other dishes we ordered were good. Will be giving this dish a miss then next time when we are there.

Duck Confit Tagliatelle ($28) I decided to use burpple 1 for 1 voucher for trying their pasta (mains). I finally trying their best selling pasta after a long time. But I felt that their pasta was a bit thick as hard to chew thru. Duck confit was quite tender and not that hard. But fried hazelnut reminded me of Ferrero Rocher enhance the pasta's taste.

Breaded Oyster ($15) The oyster was freshly made fried on the spot when the customer order. I felt that the oyster got too much for batters, still juicy, crunchy and crispy texture for first try.

Chicken Parmigiana ($27) My sister felt that it was quite overwhelming for tomato sauce tbh. But then breaded chicken cutlet got too much batter inside lol.

Break Up Steak ($45.90) As the name states, this is possibly a dish you'd want to indulge in to feel better in the event of a bad break up & you'd likely will. The break up steak is made of a 300g aged ribeye, aged in-house, served with 2 types of salt - garlic salt & smoked chilli salt, mashed potatoes, twice sautéed mushrooms & roasted carrots. It may look simple, but the cooked at medium rare, the ribeye is so tender & soft, it almost melts in your mouth. The 2 salts (made in-house) provided helps to heighten the flavour by just a notch, making it super easy for you to wipe this plate clean! The sides that comes with the steak compliments it pretty well & definitely fills you to the brim! Definitely something for you to try if you're a steak lover! #noragrats

Salted Fish Buffalo Mozzarella Burratina ($36.90) A stand out dish of the night was our starter, the Salted Fish Buffalo Mozzarella Burratina. Essentially, your usual burrata suspects, with a twist of salted fish. Yes, salted fish. Deep fried salted fish is added to the mix to give this pop a different dimension! The dish is first served separately, and plated right in front of you. Each piece of thinly sliced & crispy foccacia is used as a base to piece together the burrata, roasted cured tomatoes, a drizzle of honey, topped with bits of salted egg & black sesame. what you get is an amazing mix of sweet, savoury, salty, as well as loads of crunch beyond your imagination. Not traditional, but so so good.

Nutella Banana Milkshake Over-the-top milkshake which tastes as good as it looks. Sat atop are things like brownie, whipped cream, wafer stick, digestive biscuits and pretzels. Overall it is worth a try however the only waiter present that day was really impatient and rude and it ruined the service experience. Waffle With Ice Cream And Berries $28/ppax Nice cost place in forum mall. Relaxed feel and vibe Waffle was great and ice cream was fresh. Staff was also friendly. So 5 stars for the food. The downside was that waffle was not part of the menu, so we didn't know exactly what we were ordering and how much it is. In the end, got charged $18 for a very small plate of waffle and ice cream. So may not come back here soon.

ethereal looking, but it’s too sweet 🥴 A surprisingly mountainous portion of 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧 𝐗 𝐒𝐞𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐭 - 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 ($𝟓.𝟒𝟎) was packed into a tiny regular cup, its pretty swirls topped with 3 marshmallows skewered by a chocolate pocky! At first bite, the sea salt flavour was a delightful mix of the creamy, milky base with a tinge of saltiness. But as we continued with a few more spoons, the cloying dessert left a sickly-sweet feeling in our throats. The melon flavour was interesting, but again backed with a sharp and artificial tasting sweetness. When eaten together, the artificial flavour was muted slightly, but didn’t do much to help the jelak-ness. On a positive note, they really nailed the velvety soft serve texture, it was delightfully soft and creamy! Additionally, the portion size is pretty dang huge 😳, we should’ve just shared, or taken the $3.80 tubs they were offering that were on a 1-for-1 promo! IG: @eggeatsbread

Mini Ice cream tubs Finally got to try Aqua S after the cb! they are having 1 for 1 currently for the mini tubs. The mini tubs are Just nice for one pax, Ordered the Milo and Honey Milk flavours. I preferred the soft serve one tho!!

Bubblegum X sea salt regular ($5.40) 🍦 This dreamy ice cream parlour is originally from Australia and inspired by the seaside town of Okinawa in Japan. The result is pastel-themed soft serve concoctions where sea salt is their only constant flavour, and has more than 100 rotating flavours that you can blend with your sea salt ice cream. The ice cream here is very milky and tastes almost... Fresh. The salty taste of the blue sea salt flavour was apparent enough to taste overwhelming on its own, but also mild enough to blend with the another ice cream flavour. Regrettably, I feel that the bubblegum flavour did not really go well with the sea salt, but it was a fun experience at this colourful little booth with one table. ®️: 6/10
