Massive Steak Sandiwch ($22) 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙇’𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙩𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙘𝙝 ($18) @lentrecote_sg This had the longest queue and waiting time, but it was SO worth! The baguette 🥖 was buttery and the steak 🥩 was thiccc and juicy. While the fries didn’t add much flavour and we would have liked more sauce, this is definitely worth trying! .

Entrecôte steak ($38.80) 🥩 10/10 Like the other famous french steakhouse (relatively) nearby, this bistro offers free flow fries with a beautifully done steak. In fact, the medium rare I asked for was so perfect I just had to take a picture of the cross section to share! The speciality here is their special "secret sauce" that they douse each steak in. The gravy is rich and meaty with a slightly tart finish and had me licking the plate when I was finished with it -- just kidding, you can ask for an extra serving of sauce at no extra cost, and I certainly did so to dip my fries in. Couldn't recommend this more for date night or a celebration!

French onion Soup Part of the $48++ set lunch. The cheese is nicely torched- hence it tastes of aburi which I liked- instead of classically grilled under a broiler. The soup was tasty, but not exactly something I would dream about.

Meat n Chill An unpretentious restaurant that serve mouthwateringly good ribs and steak. The slightly sweet and tangy pickled celery was a refreshing addition to the meat. We also ordered the popcorn chicken and ribs. Both were tender and just perfectly done. A good place to chill and get together.

Great burger! I enjoyed the Wagyu cheeseburger with fries, and coleslaw as sides. The Wagyu patty was cooked just right, with a rich, buttery flavor that melted in my mouth. The melted cheese and toasted bun added creamy and sweet touches. The French fries were crispy and perfectly salted, while the coleslaw was cool and refreshing. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying meal!

Dinner @ Meat N Chill Went for dinner, started off with calamari rings, tender and seasoned just right. The highlight was their signature pork ribs, meat was tender and coated in a rich, sweet-savory sauce

Used to be good Standard dropped. My fav side is the spinach and sesame dressing, but I wanted to try other sides. Onion rings and olive rice are normal. The standard isn't very consistent as sometimes the dill sauce is okay while other times it's really goopy.

Ribeye 200g with cream broccoli and parmesan asparagus $22.5+ Decent plate of steak with interesting sides to choose from. Steak was slightly seasoned and went well with the extra mushroom sauce drizzled on the top. Cream broccoli was pretty average, but parmesan asparagus was good! It was of the right crunchiness and the parmesan bits on top went really well with the milder tasting asparagus.

Ribeye Steak It used to be good. My ribeye was served cold, Brussels sprout was so undercook it’s almost raw.

Blackmores’ Cube Roll 🍴DINE OUT🍴 📍Burnt Ends, Dempsey📍 ... Can't believe almost a month has past since we dined at Burnt Ends... 😐 It was tough getting a reservation towards the end of last year, but we were lucky to have scored one! We had an absolutely amazing dining experience. From small plates, main courses, to dessert🍬, the food was exquisitely presented and we loved the combination of flavours. Do try their Blackmores' cube roll🥩...it's THAT good! 😌

Very wholesome bowl of bakkut teh Meat is very tender, serving is pretty fulfilling. I really like this bakkut teh and for $5.50, it’s very worth it!

Bak Kut Teh For those of you who love the herbal variety of bak kut teh, this is one place you can consider. The stall opens for breakfast and serves bak kut teh at $5! The soup was flavourful, although I thought the pork was a little too tough for my liking. Although I prefer the peppery version of bak kut teh (e.g., at Song Fa), I would consider coming here for a change every now and then :)

Old Style Hokkien Bak Kut Teh Located in Hong Lim Market a few stall away from the famous Hokkien Street Bak Kut Teh, I personally feel this one is better in flavour. It has a stronger herbal taste and their yam rice is very nice.

Smoke salmon bagel So sad that the place has closed down. Tried the bagel once and it is amazing! They really offered good deli food and coffee.

Classic Reuben Had always wanted to try a decent Reuben sandwich and here I found it! The restaurant’s version came w a generous serving of the cured meat, on thin toasts. Unfortunately, the toast was a tad too “doughy” and hard to pull apart. Would have been better if it was just toasted lightly, or if a brioche was used instead.

1hour+ Wait For Brunch, Stale Latkis & Got “Chased Out” 🤢 I don’t even wanna talk about the price, but you’d imagine $20-30++ for brunch per mains @ Mandarin Gallery. Made a reservation @ 10.30am along with 5 other friends for a b’day brunch. Our orders only arrived at 11.45am... and I was really excited to dig into my pastrami and crispy latki dish, a Jewish potato & onion crispy “rosti pancake”. Well, all I got were hard, stale pieces of pure disappointment. They’ve probably been windowed for too long, not served warm and it was a total chore to finish the dish. To make things worst, out group got “chased out” by the staffs at 12.20pm, kept reminding us that they have a party of 11 to cater to and hope me understand... was it our fault that y’all took so long to serve us?! Guess it’s safe to say that we didn’t quite enjoyed a quality B’day brunch 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Mango coco 13.4++ add on almond thins +1.9++ THEY ARE CLOSING THIS WEEK The waffles were decent. Mango was way too sour. Coconut ice cream sucks, it's way too cold and lacks flavour Almond thins were brilliant. Super aromatic from the nuts, with a really satisfying crunch. Not sure what the translucent parts are but hey if it's this good I'm not complaining The queue is insane nowadays so please come with a reservation

sunday folks the earl grey lavender waffle was a chef’s kiss… 😍 perfect dessert to end off a hike

red velvet cheesecake waffles ($11.50) as usual, the soft serve was rich in sightly salty cheese flavour!! the little cubes of red velvet cake topped w lemon custard were also a nice topping. would always recommend sunday folks for ice cream, but a little stingy with their waffles, can skip and get cones/cups instead

Signature Mochi Donut with Cookie Butter Softserve ($15) Yum! Mochi donut was served hot and was very pleasantly chewy, it’s not sweet on its own so it complements the other components. The cookie biscuit that was the base of the softserve was good too, crunchy and sweet/buttery. Softserve was p smooth and creamy, cookie butter flavour was distinct and honestly much less sweet than typical speculoos-flavoured desserts. It’s served with some granola (that had freeze dried raspberry bits) and salted caramel sauce! Overall a p solid dessert, each component was good and came together nicely, not too sweet as a whole. The mochi donut is v filling so thankfully we shared this between 3! The only thing is that it would have been better if served on a plate - having it in the bowl meant that the donut was soaked in the softserve ‘soup’ when it melted.

Mochi Donut Icecream Brotherbird is very well known for their pastries especially their croissants! To my delight, their cafe’s desserts are beyond imagination. This bowl of goodness is put together using bisoff soft serve, Mochi donut, dried strawberries and wafer. The texture was so balanced with soft and crisp, hot and cold. Goes really well with coffee and tea. Expected Damage: $15

Finally tried this on a lazy Friday afternoon. This mentaiko prawn double baked croissant feels well tailored to the singapore tastebud, with hints of sambal and lotssss of prawns. For $6.50, it's a unique dish that deserves a try. Plus it's quiet in the afternoon for some readings too. Only wished it could be served hotter and more crisp.

What a pity that we came slightly late as they have sold out all of their desserts except the Mochi Donut ($12). Fortunately, this happens to be one of our favourites with the crispy exterior, chewy texture of the mochi donut with the earl grey ice cream. Review: Stateland Cafe (Part 3/3) Finally knew why the Earl Grey Bursts with Softserve [$15] is highly recommended. The mochi balls are soooooo good. It’s a good pairing between the hot mochi balls and cold softserve. Have chosen cookie butter over taro softserve as recommended by the staff and it doesn’t disappoint! It’s a pity this is the last time I can enjoy this dessert since the cafe is closing down :/

Review: Stateland Cafe (Part 2/3) Wanted to try the Herbal Duck Confit Risotto but was told that the cafe is not serving this dish today BUT somehow saw another diner eating it so uhh.. Anyway, decided to try the Hainanese Chicken Rice Risotto [$19] instead since it is one of the recommended dishes and it is okay lo. A unique fusion but would appreciate if there is more rice 😅

Jalapeño cheese which X felt gelak after awhile. Also had salted egg sauce - decent and a goopy mess. Chicken was ok, not crispy and not seasoned but the sauces can do the work. $10.90 set lunch comes with iced lemon tea and a side (we opted to add on $3 for mushrooms and sweet potato fries). #burpple

For Indulging in Fried Chicken at Lunch Korean fried chicken is a good idea anytime, but especially so on cheat days! This Lorong Telok joint offers a great lunch deal ($10.90), and is a decent 10-minute stroll from Raffles Place MRT Station. The set includes two wings and two drumlets, one side with choices like French fries or rice with kimchi, and iced tea. They only allow you to pick one out of eight flavours for the chicken though, so bring as many colleagues as the flavours you want to try!

KFC in several flavours Before the bingsoo craze, the food fad in Singapore was owned by another from the same origin - Korean fried chicken. I don't think any place offers 8 flavours of sauce coating other than Chick And Ken. I wish I could taste all 8 on my own, but even just 2 was a challenge to finish. The salted egg sauce fully coated the wings, finger-licking good with the slightly grainy consistency and heat from the chilli padi. The brown sugar was not as sweet as I expected, could afford to be more caramelised, but the lime zest made it quite appetising.
