Decent Cheese Katsu! Back at @onkei.tonkatsu to try their other tonkatsu variations and was satisfied with their Cheese Rosu-Katsu Set ($19.90)! The pork fillet was quite well fried till golden brown and it was stuffed full of cheese! The meat itself may be a little dry, but it is definitely meaty. The chicken is best paired with the tonkatsu sauce, which was pretty tangy to cut the rich fat flavour from the cheese and meat fillet. They offer free refills of rice, soup and cabbage, and I liked the soup the best due to its rich meaty and umami flavours. This may not be one of the best tonkatsu I've eaten, but it's definitely decent, filling and affordable. A great lunch option for the offices nearby!

Chicken Katsu and Tempura Chicken Katsu is soft and Tempura is crispy. Not too oily. Cabbage is crunchy.

Karage and Oyster Karage is very soft. Oyster is fresh

Snow man Lychee yogurt mousse, Yuzu curd white choc cremeux: texture was light and taste refreshing. However it was monotone after a while, no layered flavor.

Auki Matcha Fujiro It's my favourite swiss roll 👁👄👁🤌 I decided to try Auzki Matcha Fujiro ($7.80) without takeaway and I always enjoy dessert so much 💕 thank you uncle for accompanying me to talk with me even thought its just small talk 😅 I really like matcha cream was not that thick but I just accept it 👍 red bean is not thick and a bit of it is enough for non-red bean lovers till nxt time for more & more swiss roll.

Swiss Rolls Finally tried @sweetscraftsman's swiss rolls that looked cute and were yummy too! We enjoyed how they were light and fluffy in texture and how they were not too sweet too! My favourite flavours are Tieguanyin, black sesame and yuzu 😋

Sing Swee Kee (新瑞记), located at Seah Street, famous for their authentic Hainanese Chicken Rice and other Hainanese dishes, Introduces new dishes , such as bite-size fried chicken rice balls in 2021. Not Bad Chicken Rice Randomly tried this. The chicken was not bad. Good enough breast meat. The sides were terrible though. The fried tau kwa was tasteless and the greens were bitter. I loved the green ginger sauce. The chilli damn spicy, we barely touched the surface.

Fried Chicken Rice Balls Another reason for me to come here was recently they introduced this interesting fried chicken rice ball. Deep-fried to create this crunchy outer layer, while inside the rice remain moist and flavourful. And it is pretty cheap for only $2.50 for 3 pieces.

Minions As a fan of minions, these were too adorable to resist! Ji Xiang is among our favourite ang ku kueh shop and happy to say that beyond the endearing design, they delivered in consistency and taste. The skin was thin, smooth, and chewy. Generously filled with the special flavour incorporating banana (minions’ favourite fruit) with sweet mung bean. The two came together splendidly with the distinct banana aroma and actual banana bits reminding us of a yummy goreng pisang. One of Little boss fav burger is @fiveguyssingapore. He will go with double patties cheese burger. Soft toasted sesame bun wrapped double Patties and melted cheese,with Milkshake and fries. Happy son happy mother

Ba Guo Grilled Fish🥵 Went to Ba Guo Grilled Fish last weekend and ordered their full portion of Mala fish ($32.80?), with add ons such as potatoes, lotus root, enoki mushrooms etc.!😇 Overall ratings 4/10! Fish felt more fried instead of grilled? The mala soup was also added at the end before serving, hence was lacking the depth of flavour😕 Had also ordered a stir fried cabbage which took abt half an hr to be served so was not really pleased with the service... would not head back again🤧

Went to @313somerset food republic for Ba Guo Grilled Fish 巴国烤鱼. We ordered Spicy Grilled fish. The fish was fleshy, grilled before served with mild spicy sauce and not numbing at all. Mala Grilled Fish, $29.90 Cheaper alternative to the recently hyped Tan Yu Grilled Fish! Definitely value for money and worth a try. Taste wise was great and not too spicy. The $29.90 option was just enough for 2 hungry people. We paid with Google pay and received $1 cashback 🥳. Our fish also came with 2 free sides of bean sprouts and lettuce! 火锅的幸福 Pot of happiness Always feel very fulfilled with hotpot, and the signature tomato soup that's sweet but not over the top, slightly bland mushroom broth, and a mini mala soup in the center (which goes perfect with meat). Our fave goes to the handmade prawn balls and the must have beancurd rolls. (About $40 per pax, good to come here with a big group)

Weekdays Set Lunch ($16.80) For the price of $16.80++, you get a plate of meat (choose between pork, lamb, beef, chicken and fish) + vegetables and mushrooms + free soup base (if more than 2 set ordered) + free flow drinks! Very worth it if more than 2 diners!!! 🌟

Good And Affordable Hot Pot The hotpot here is nice and affordable but less variety. I ordered 3 soup bases: tomatoes, mala and chicken and they all taste good 👍 pay additional $6 per pax for free flow sauce and drinks. I paid total $68 for 2 pax which is quite a good deal. This place is not as crowded even on Friday night.
