Al ragu pappardelle ($25.80) - Al dente pasta, sauce was quite tasty but the depth of meaty flavour was absent. - Some parts of the beef chunks were a little tough and contained small amounts of tendon 🥩 [5/10]

Carbonara roma linguine ($26.80) - Having “pasta” in the restaurant name, it’s a shame the pasta was undercooked and hard. - Presentation was rather plain with only pasta and pancetta. - Sauce lacked in flavour and seasoning, even Pastamania can do better 🥲 [2/10]

Calamari fritto spaghetti ($26.80) - Interesting combi, calamari was crispy and chewy! - Tanginess of lemon butter sauce was barely present, could have stronger savouriness. [6/10]

$60+ Crab AMAZING experience here with value for money seafood! The auntie who took our order was super nice and recommended us the perfect size for two of us. The chilli crab sauce was a great blend of sweet and spicy, while the dong po belly and prawn in pumpkin sauce were outstanding as well. The mantou can be more crispy though, but maybe that's just personal preference. Definitely will recommend!

Har Cheong Gai Perennial zi char favourite har cheong gai was crispy on the outside while the meat retained the juiciness. The prawn paste flavour was not too overwhelming and no qualms about the wings.

Homemade Tofu with Golden Mushroom Braised tofu with conpoy, enoki mushrooms and nai bai. I like how the tofu is homemade and had a soft, silky texture. It helps that the sauce doesn’t overpower the flavour of the tofu and there are some greens on the side.

La Pizzaiola -

Crabmeat Pasta 👍🏻 Visited the dunearn outlet! Service staff were very polite and friendly :) Ordered the Tagliolini al Nero di Seppia con Salsa di Granchio ($19.90) which is a homemade squid-ink tagliolini with crabmeat in white wine sauce. Just a note that the picture above shows a half portion! (The chef helps to split the food into half, pretty thoughtful). Our bad for not reading the menu properly as we expected a creamy squid ink like pasta. However the taste is pretty decent! I enjoyed the garlicky taste accompanied by the abundant amount of crabmeat. One thing to point out would be that the squid ink taste isnt very prominent though. Would rate this a 8/10. Read my other reviews for the La Pizzaiola Speciale (pizza) and Creme Brûlée dessert!

La Pizzaiola Special This pizza contains roast beef, mozerella and rocket leaves. The meat is thinly sliced and tender, the portion of rocket leaves are generous. You will definitely fulfill your green veggie quota eating this. The only complain is I hardly taste the truffle oil and they can put more cheese. But it's a pretty good pizza to eat. Give it a try

Pad Thai Thin rice noodles stir-fried with egg, chicken and beansprouts for some crunch. Like most pad thai, the noodles were slightly sweet but the lime kept the flavours well balanced. Sweet, savoury and nutty all in one bite 》$6.80

Khao Pad Krapow Moo Minced pork fried with plenty of chilli and basil, topped with a standard fried egg and rice. The basil pork was not too spicy and I love that runny egg yolk 》$8

Stuffed Chicken Wings The stuffed chicken wings from @joeskitchen.sg is my must-order dish whenever we ate there. It is amazing how much minced pork, chestnut bits and corn is stuffed into each chicken wing and fried to golden brown perfection. We are not big fans of pad thai which is rather lackluster and their green curry chicken can be rather hit and miss. However, their deep fried garlic pork was simply superb though. Each piece of pork was crispy and juicy and you can't go wrong with fried garlic bits. The prices are on the steep side for a neighborhood eatery so try exercising self-control and don't overorder k!
