Tapas in Singapore First time trying Tapas in Singapore and ordered the Spanish Omelette, Croquette & Huevos El Rotos. Taste wise is kind of different from what I previously had in Spain but it is alright. Total spend of $65.95 for these 3 items.

Pork Ribs Super soft, falls of the bone

Hits and misses, but will return for a 2nd time 1. Breakfast your way ($17.50+): built your own breakfast set. I had pancake with scrambled egg + mushroom + bacon + maple syrup. The pancake was overcook, hence texture was hard. Egg was ok. 2. Garlic Calamari & Prawn Pasta ($19+): comes with two tiger prawns, was fresh and yummy. However the whole pasta was too oily for my liking. 3. Acoustic Laksa ($21+): taste exactly the same as our traditional laksa but this a dried pasta version. The laksa fragrance was thick enough, Recommended! 4. Classic Tots ($9+): mini harshbrown with maple syrup, this is my to go dish if I’m returning next time. Simple yet delicious! Must eat!

CAPPUCCINO Double shot coffee & it came well-balanced with the milk; not bitter or acidic..

DECONSTRUCTED CHEESECAKE Cream cheese is light & creamy, topped with crunchy biscuit crumbs & strawberries; cream cheese tastes weird when eaten on its own, so give a good toss to mix with the crumbs; though I still prefer the normal cheesecake..

THE SEAFOOD PAELLA - $72++ These are special sharing dishes ($32++ for 2-3 and $72++ if you have a table of 4-6). This can be your signature main. You could order a few starters and just a paella. Add a couple of additional mains only if needed. The dish is amazing and they claim is made of sustenable fish.

Amazing Food Every single dish taste amazing! Eggs were soft and fluffy, paella is flavourful, chicken was tender. Mix of flavours is complementary, ambience and service is great too, highly recommended!

Great Food, Amazing Service! The Burpple set was a variety of dishes that were fresh, delicious, filling and satisfying. Food was all cooked perfectly and served from the minute we sat down and ordered. We especially loved the pork jowl, the Spanish omelette, and the paella. The staff were super attentive. They would see us looking around and would approach us even before we called them over. Didn’t get to try their tapas but all the dishes left the kitchen looking delicious. We’ll definitely come back again to try more!

Chirashi set meal Came here for dinner. Set meal is quite substantial and it’s a good meal if you are hungry. Wanted to try this outlet since they had chawamushi. You don’t actually save much with the burpple deal. But it a good option if you want to have a big meal and some chirashi/chawamushi.

Marina Square give’s chawan mushi with ikura as sides Ordered 2 sets of Signature Kaisendon. Was surprised that they gave chawan mushi as side. The chef really put his heart into this dish. The other items are normal. The outlet manager helped to serve customers doubling as cashier, cleaner and receptionist . Pocket poorer by $38.82 for 2 sets.

Chirashi Don What’s your favourite sashimi? Mine is swordfish. Unfortunately for me, there is no swordfish in there 😂 Still a decent bowl of chirashi though. Chikuwatei’s chirashi includes yellowtail, unagi, sweet prawn, tuna, scallop, salmon, ikura, tobiko & tamago. Despite being around for awhile and one of the chirashi found in many listicles, it took me until now to finally give this a try. I actually went to Manzoku first, which is also under The Yoi Group but they seem to be temporarily closed due to COVID-19 and the notice on the shop front redirected me to Chikuwai Tei. Salmon Aburi Mentai Maki + Soft-shell Crab The makis here are pretty huge per piece and delicious too. Perfect aburi salmon w mentai mayo with generous chunks of crispy soft-shell crab. The rainbow maki paled in comparison, just order this!

Unagi Nigiri This place might be famous for their chirashi but their unagi is equally good! Don’t give this a miss if you’re a fan of unagi.

Sakura Chirashidon Set Had lunch at Robertson Quay's Ginza Kuroson recently, and I think the freshness of their fish has to be commended. While the Sakura lunch set is expensive at $58.80, the quality of the fish is clear for all to see. I'd like a little bit more quantity, but this is a solid entry into the sashimi bowl game!

If you’re looking for the BEST don that combines quality and value, Ginza Kuroson should be at the top of your list. Available during lunch, the Ryoshi-Gokai Nagekomi Don ($22) comes with an array of quality fish. I love that you don’t get the normal run of the mill maguro and salmon but you get whatever is best on the day. Today I managed to snag a piece of smoky Katsuo which was a nice bonus and shirasu, tiny sardines which added a welcome salty scent with a fluffy, soft texture. • Still not convinced? You also get a salad, chawamushi, soup and a dessert on top of that.

Genmaicha Auzki Tart ($13) It's final Easter day for this tart to comeback as they decided to close shop permanently. I decided to make a first and last visit with my friend to try it out for long time ever. I realised that the tart crust was quite hard to cut through. But the filling was quite sweet, milky and creamy. but its not much bitter taste tbh.

Uji Matcha Tiramisu ($10) I decided to try this dessert first as their alcoholic inside the tiramisu was quite strong and thick taste. But the filling was quite milky and creamy. but its strong bitter taste tbh. It's so good tbh as slowly getting jelak too much for me tbh.

Cinnamon Caramel Apple Cinnamon cream, caramelized apples withe vanilla sponge. Refreshing and light.

Authentic Italian Food Managed to get reservation and ordered few dishes such as pizza ($10), fried rice ball ($9), porchetta ($10), parmigiana ($15) & tiramisu ($16). For the quality, I would say the price is reasonable and really worth it

Amaretti They have a section of Italian bakes. This is an almond cookie that's soft inside. The almond whiff was very strong so I'm not a fan.

Pasta, Iberico pork, cauliflower The portion was on the smaller side but food tasted not bad! Not a lot of mains options.

Iberico Secreto ($26+ U.P.), Barramundi ($26+ U.P.), Roasted Cauliflower ($15+), Pita & Hummus ($12+, Not Pictured) Moosehead has been on my wish list to check out with girlfriends for a long time, a Saturday evening in 2022 was finally the right time. While our mains of barramundi and iberico secreto came in “dainty” portions fit for ladies, they were well handled and packed coordinating flavours with their condiments. Our sides of cauliflower and pita with hummus then kept us satiated. This is a place I’d return to for a causal alfresco sort of dining ambience with good food.

Good flavours Barramundi was ok with the sweet tomatoes but the fish was not the most fresh. only worth with burpple 1f1!

$3 for two glasses of tap water Using burple 1 for 1 starter, main and desert. The food and service is good But order 1 cold water and 1 warm water, the charge is $3. The cold tap water $2 and warm water is $1. I think the charge is a bit too high 😢

Beef Tenderloin Had this steak. Asked for medium but it seemed medium rare. Nice soft and tasty. Seated outside. The tables are well spaced out. Pleasant evening. Burpple Beyond could not be used for special dishes like this beef steak. The coupons are valid for pizza and spaghetti dishes.
