Sunday Brunch Came here for brunch with 2 other friends thinking we could use the 1 for 1 main dish but because we ordered waffles together, only the waffles were waived. Overall food was great and ambiance was amazing. Would come back again, just got to be wiser with their 1 for 1 deals.

Alright Food And Ambience Got the smoked salmon and all day breakfast. Salmon was quite salty and we couldn’t finish the whole thing. Their sausage in the all day breakfast was nice. Overall, an alright experience and alright food, some chill music in the background.

Egglet with Ice Cream Egglet - freshly made, slightly crispy on the outside. Will be good if the insides can be more fluffy. Also has pasta and all!

Decent food First time here - food was good in general. Ordered the mezze platter (warm pita bread wedges with dips: hummus, beetroot, tzatziki and spicy capsicum) with falafel and fried feta balls which was decent. Falafel was on the dry side. The pumpkin salad had a good variety of ingredients: mesclun salad, avocado, grilled pumpkin wedges, cherry tomatoes, feta slices and brown Swiss mushrooms. The pasta sauce was delightful and penne pasta cooked al dente! First time trying vegetarian pasta with such flavours.

the best thing on the menu I had the Elvis ($11) which had PB, raw cacao, banana blended together to form a thick & creamy smoothie bowl, topped with house-made vanilla granola. Also topped with raw peanut butter cubes which were to die for!! The top layer was rich pb & choc, and the bottom sticky crunchy layer was a mixture of crushed cashews, pitted dates & coconut.

change to gluten free toast!!!! was convinced by a friend to change the buns of the Portobello Mushroom Burger ($18) to Gluten-free Toast (+$3). It’s LIFE CHANGING SERIOUSLY. As usual, their potato chunks taste amazing esp when paired with their housemade mayo.

STANDARD DROP, STAFF DONT CARE Risotto was just severely undercooked !!!!! Told at least 2 STAFFS and they said errrr ok …. HOWEVER NO ACTION BEING DONE…. UNACCEPTABLE FOR A F&B restaurant. TRULY the worst food ever. Won’t even pay a penny for the food.

Mango with Mini Rice Ball Smooth mango purée topped with fresh diced mango, chewy rice balls and fun mango pearls. The rice balls give a nice bite, while the pearls pop with sweetness, making this dessert refreshing, playful and really easy to enjoy 》$7

STEAMED CUSTARD Their Steamed Custard is one of their signature as well✨ Went for the Osmanthus Custard which is topped with sweet osmanthus topping 🌼 interesting got abit of crunch to it 😂

Gyudon ($15.90) Honestly not expecting much from a “Western-Asian” fusion cafe but this is surprisingly good! Beef was cooked well and the sauce resembles teriyaki, but not too sweet. The way they made the egg is so cute and it’s a nice surprise to get a lava egg yolk 😄 Highly recommend to use Burpple for the 1-for-1 deal!

Burpple 1 For 1 I tried the Egg Benedict and Gyudon. It was to my expectations of how egg Benedict taste like. On the other hand, Gyudon was really good!! A definitely must-try dish. Desserts was alright (Chocolate and lavender Mille crepe cake) but the drink were slightly diluted. I’m definitely coming back for their main dish! Each person is about $15 for drinks and desserts. Chillax brunch 1-for-1 At katong Family friendly cafe for brunch. Open at 9am and give you the flexibility to choose the suitable brunch time between “breakfast” and “lunch” ha. Food is acceptable and burrple make sweeten the whole deal. A variety of aromatic teas to choose from.

Salmon Grain My photo doesn't do justice. One bite of this salmon and it was so flavorful! The salmon is miso-infused, served with brown rice and lotus root pickles. Never a fan of pickles, this one really opens up the tastebud.

Pretty Place With Decent Food Food was refined and service was attentive. The crabmeat pasta was unusual and I enjoyed it the most out of the meal. Had a lot of fun taking pictures around the cafe and the lobby coz of its design! Modern and chic. Rating: 3.5/5 #eatwithnchenggg

Avocado on Toast ($16++) The millennials’ favourite breakfast dish - avocado on toast. 🥑🥚🥖Clan Cafe does a great but pricey version of it. Smashed avocado, two poached eggs (additional $3++) roasted cherry tomatoes and rockets on sourdough. Sounds simple but the combination is on point. Squeeze some lemon if you like a sour flavour profile.

Matcha Black Sesame Cake Two of my favourite flavours. But if this cake taught me anything, it's that cakes have to be cold lol. The room temperature made it terrible.

Beetroot Pancakes Thumbs up for novelty, thumbs down for execution. The pancakes were mushy and bitter, the avocado yoghurt was mushy and bitter. Bad combo. The dukkah was sharp and contrasted the others well, but ultimately it was insignificant.

French Toast Oh I liked this. Both savoury and sweet. 2 pieces of large brioche, several pieces of bacon, side of icecream, drizzled with maple syrup. Tad sinful.

Vegetarian Restaurant In The Industrial Area! If you ever find yourself in the Kaki Bukit industrial area, you’ll be surprised to know that there’s a vegetarian restaurant there! This is the Ipoh hor fun which comes at the special price of $4.50 during lunch hours. I added egg for 50 cents. The warm soymilk ($2.60) was comforting and I was glad that it came without any sugar. There are lots of local dishes including nasi lemak which I was also tempted to try. Maybe next time?
