“Sometimes the smallest thing takes up the most room in your heart.”
Featuring this Winnie the Pooh-inspired, quaint and cheerful ice cream cafe at Sunset Way @hundredacre.sg 🍯These are two of our favourite flavours- Honey Chrysanthemum & Cacao Nibs and Roasted Pistachio. We like that their ice cream has great consistency and flavour, and isn’t too sweet!
Happy Mid-Week everyone! Reminder to all of us to treasure the little things that make us happy in life 🥰
A delectable fusion of Peranakan food and the western concept of high tea; @violetoonsingapore ‘s high tea set offers a gastronomical journey, one that begins with their buttery scones and wanders through three tiers of treats - two savoury, one sweet. The set also comes with a choice of tea or coffee. We absolutely loved the scones (the pair that was drenched in gula melaka), kueh pie tee (bottom tier), coronation chicken on crispy wanton skin (middle tier) and kueh dah dah (top tier).
However, if we had to nitpick, we thought we could do without the cream cheese and cucumber open-face sandwich.
Apart from the delicious food, we would also like to give a shout-out to the team at ION Orchard to thank them for their top-notch service! They made us feel super welcomed and they were super attentive. They even went out of their way to surprise us with a birthday cake for my wife and a printed photo of us! We were really touched by their kind and sincere gestures 🥰
Missing @dear.nesuto ‘s Japanese Goma Cake, which has been removed from their collection 😢 This cake is light, yet super fragrant at the same time. Definitely our go-to when we crave black sesame cakes in the past! Hopefully it will make its comeback😊
Tiramisu [$14]
We felt this was nice but wasn’t mind-blowing! We would prefer if the flavour was stronger in terms of liqueur and coffee.
For all the westies who crave Italian and don’t wish to travel too far to dine, you can check out @ioosteriasg at HillV2!
Ft. Homemade Taglioni with Prawn [$22]
This was not as impactful as the porchetta and we felt the portion could be bigger for its price!

Ft. Porchetta [S, $9]
We like their porchetta the most - the moisture and flavours were locked within the meat by an outer layer of crackling pork belly skin.
Fuelling up for the weekend at @fuelplussg ✌🏻
Our fave dish is definitely the Chicken Overload, which is always well executed - chicken cutlet was crispy outside and moist inside; mash potato was dressed in a creamy truffle mushroom sauce that is thick and flavourful but not jelak; and the dish was finished with a sous vide egg and crispy lotus chips [$16].
It is a pity that they are no longer on Burpple Beyond, but the food and coffee are definitely worth paying the full price for!
Don’t these🍦scream FRI-YAY 🙌🏻
We’re so close to the weekends!
Ft. the earl grey lavender and roasted pistachio soft-serve ice cream cones from @wearesunday , a change from their classic waffles.
Personally we are bigger fans of the ice cream from their elder sibling @creamier_sg !
Which do you prefer? 😋
☕️Housed along Neil Road is a notable constant in our lives, The Populus - our go-to place for coffee and cafe food done with great finesse.
🥐Ft. The Populus Scramble [$18.5]
💬One of our all-time faves, The Populus Scramble offers a great balance between texture and flavour (think soft creamy scramble, flaky croissant with its layers of goodness, topped with grilled bacon that packs a punch of flavour!). If you are not a fan of bacon, you could request to change it to mushrooms too (equally tasty)!
💭Where do you go to get your croissant/scramble fix? Let us know!
❗️P.S. As they are really popular, we would strongly encourage making a reservation to avoid a long waiting time!

🥪Cheese. Spam. Eggs. Caramelised Onions. More cheese.
An immaculate ensemble of everyone's favourites, "kiap-ed" between two perfectly-toasted pieces of bread.
➡️Ft. Breakfast Sammy [$12] , Biggie Croque [$16] & Bobby Smalls [$12]
💬Breakfast Sammy was our personal favourite, though Biggie Croque came in a close second. Bobby Smalls was a tad too spicy for our liking, but that is because we have a super low tolerance for spicy food. Overall, the sammies are comfort food done right (probably an understatement), and we would definitely return to try out their other sammies and artisanal doughnuts next time.

😌Had such a zen time at Hvala’s latest Keong Saik outlet, which exclusively uses vegan-friendly ingredients that excludes egg, dairy and animal-related products.
🧇Featuring Hvala’s Dairy-Free Waffles (made with oatmilk instead of the usual butter and fresh milk) drizzled with maple syrup, topped with a scoop of matcha gelato and finished off with fresh genmai (toasted rice)[$11.80].
💬Really love how the waffles were done to perfection - so airy inside and crisp on the outside. It was really fragrant too! We had the one-degree matcha gelato, and felt it was not strong enough for our preference and we should have gone for the two-degree option (pardon us as we’re heavy coffee drinkers😂).
