The food looks and sounds good in the menus. Ordered "mouth watering chicken" for $12.50, chilli crab prawn bao $3.50 and claypot truffle beef with garlic pepper, $16.

Food tastes like a cheaper version of crystal jade with no flavour that makes them special from the rest of the Chinese restaurants.

Ambience is good but don't expect restaurant grade service. The staff were very inattentive. They weren't interested in looking at my orders seriously. Some food that didn't get served, had to ask a couple of times and they found out the cashier didn't register in the receipt. How disappointing.

Oh and the Tea was diluted. They ran out of dimsum during lunch time. For a Chinese canto restaurant, that's a huge NO for me.

Rating: 2/5

Don't always judge a book by it's cover. Q&M may look like an atas place to dine in but the services were mediocre. It is those casual dining place trying to look fine dining. It's not really convincing as the staff were wearing blue polo tees which is a turn off for any restaurant. Service staff were quite attentive.

Don't get me started with the drinks. As a pub that specializes in drinks, they have the cheek to serve me ice lemon tea ($6) that is actually a can of seasons brand lemon tea!

The pan seared barramundi ($26) was dry and hard. Overcooked fish that shouldn't be served in the first place. The pesto sauce drenched around it was so salty I couldn't even taste the fish properly. Long beans were mediocre and risotto were bland.

You pay exorbitant prices for food and should be expecting above average quality but this restaurant just doesn't cut it.

Oh and the kiddy's corner is a huge turn off that doesn't go along with the ambience.

Giving it 2/5 stars.

The Food:
Premium prices for premium meat. Food is exceptionally good. The snapper ($25) did have a unique taste but leaves the usual fish smell in my mouth for hours. Striploin($26) is cook to perfection. Soft and juicy meat while maintaining minimum iron taste. Portion is more fine dining style but without the fine dining service and experience.

The Service:
They provide a big bottle of water FOC so that was a nice touch. Some servers wasn't that friendly as the others, one literally gave me a black face when ordering/serving. Food preparation time takes about 15-20mins (considering only 2 people were ahead of my order since I went in when they are about to close). I'd expect a much longer waiting time during lunch/dinner.

The verdict:
[3.5/5] I enjoyed the food we ate here. Really tasty and flavours bursting out from the meat. But the service wasn't that great as I was the last few diners (probably tired from the day). They should improve on restaurant song choices. They were playing all the sad and emotional songs and I felt more depressed while eating my food. The ambience boast a chic bar style so I would prefer more chill music rather than emotional genre.
