We ordered everything on menu... the steaks were disappointing... either not cooked or well done. The wait for the next order was horrendous.. we ordered bbq pork ribs the moment the first ordered came... waited for more than 1.5hours before it came, finally it came but it was not the same as first batch. Will not come back here again for the buffet.
Rate:1/10
🔸Ayam buah keluak - $18.80
🔸Chap chye - $12.80
🔸Otah -$8
🔸Dry Laska - $9.80
Decent nonya dishes, however I felt that the set courses are more worth it then to use the Burpple deal. I would say that Makko Teck Neo is better that this.
I would rate this 6/10.
Ordered Wagu beef for two at $70 nett, really worth the price though I felt that the fried food was rather cold.
Mantou with chunks of crab meat sauce
Mantou was great but the sauce was really disappointing. There were no chunks of crab meat as stated in the menu and the sauce was watery and lukewarm. I wouldn’t order again.
🔸i love how the servings are small and bite size, perfect for people who like to just try a lot of things.
🔸 the service can be quite slow, so just be patient.
🔸 I will rate it 7/10
Got to know this place through burpple deal. We redeemed the $28 set for sharing with consist of 1 main, either 1 pasta or pizza and 1 dessert. I felt that this deal is only worth it if you order pizza or both parties are small eaters 😬.
Buffalo cheese with Parma ham - $19
Truffle fries - $10
Homemade lasagna - $22
Piu 39 pizza (8 slices)- $29
The food generally is so-so and I would only rate it 6/10
We went in the afternoon and was given an outdoor seat, it was really hot!! I would not go back unless I get an indoor seat😬
🍖🧇Chicken & Waffles -$20
Chicken thigh was crunchy & smooth
& the waffles is v light & fluffy
🥓Blackened Cajun Pork Collar-$24
Pork collar was surprisedly soft and it was laid above a bed of mashed potato, though I felt that the sauce was a tad too little.
🧀Mac & Cheese -$13
Serving was just nice for 3 pax, good for sharing.
I would rate it 6/10
Affordable 5 course menu at $88+ and the food was good.
🔸Man fu yuan appetizer - char siew, tofu with century egg & crispy prawn.
🔸Double boiled soup
Fried grouper fillet
🔸Duck fried rice with asparagus and truffle sauce
Eight treasure sweet tea, peach collagen, aloe 🔸vera
And to end the meal, sour plum shot was given to us to clear our plate. It was v refreshing.
I will definitely come back 👍🏼I will give it a 8/10
Ordered silky egg crispy hor fun, chef Joel’s mee Kia, shiok prawn patties and three egg spinach.
Prawn patties-$9.80 lightly breaded and not very oily.. you will feel like eating more than 1 piece.
Hor fun-$12.80 the hor fun is deep fried which was totally unexpected! I embarrassed myself by asking where is the hor fun.. haha ...
Mee Kia-$11.80 truffle taste makes a normal mee Kia elevate the whole taste bud with pork cheek & crab meat in it!
Three egg spinach-$12.80 it’s good but nothing to shout about.
Overall: I enjoyed the food and it’s a modern twist to Zi char. Personally I feel that the portion is quite big or rather filling for me and I wouldn’t mind paying for these price for Zi char. I will come back again even without 1-1. Most importantly, the music is awesome!!
Ordered 2 mains and 2 starters using burpple deal. Overall the food is quite good and dont mind going back there again.
📌Caprese: not a fan of it, the tomato was thickly sliced so when I ate together with the cheese, it was overpowering the cheese.🧀
📌Melon Parma Ham: the Ham was quite little as compared to other restaurants.
📌Nero Risotto: really salty as the waitress warned, but it was not bad
📌1/2 & 1/2 Pizza: 🍕7/10
They also had 1-1 beer & wine and Florentine steak is really cheap! I would go back there again to try it!
Found this place through burpple and decided to give it a try. We ordered beef kofta shakshuka & steak sandwich.
Beef Kofta Shakshuka: sauce was just nice when you mix everything together, the beef was also tender
Steak Sandwich: beef was tender & tasty and the bread was soft
Will definitely go back again to try others!
