Chinese
Though the menu was small, but I was quite surprised that the food was quite good.
Curry-age: Cripsy, hot, mixed with curry spice 8/10
Sang Mein: the noodle was soft and the soup/gravy was not over powering.. though it does taste abit like prawn mee.. 8/10
Kurobuta: 400g of pork! Serving was huge and thick! The wait was slightly long but we ain’t complaining! 8/10
Overall: 9/10 I would come back and chill for drinks and dinner though it’s on the pricier side.
Affordable 5 course menu at $88+ and the food was good.
🔸Man fu yuan appetizer - char siew, tofu with century egg & crispy prawn.
🔸Double boiled soup
Fried grouper fillet
🔸Duck fried rice with asparagus and truffle sauce
Eight treasure sweet tea, peach collagen, aloe 🔸vera
And to end the meal, sour plum shot was given to us to clear our plate. It was v refreshing.
I will definitely come back 👍🏼I will give it a 8/10
Ordered silky egg crispy hor fun, chef Joel’s mee Kia, shiok prawn patties and three egg spinach.
Prawn patties-$9.80 lightly breaded and not very oily.. you will feel like eating more than 1 piece.
Hor fun-$12.80 the hor fun is deep fried which was totally unexpected! I embarrassed myself by asking where is the hor fun.. haha ...
Mee Kia-$11.80 truffle taste makes a normal mee Kia elevate the whole taste bud with pork cheek & crab meat in it!
Three egg spinach-$12.80 it’s good but nothing to shout about.
Overall: I enjoyed the food and it’s a modern twist to Zi char. Personally I feel that the portion is quite big or rather filling for me and I wouldn’t mind paying for these price for Zi char. I will come back again even without 1-1. Most importantly, the music is awesome!!
