Late dinner with Butterfly Pea Infused Tea as the highlight of the night (BUT, this #instavideo doesn't do justice to the real color of the tea). Truth to be told, I've never seen any blue tea before - let alone drink it. Apparently the blue-purplish color was caused by the usage of butterfly pea. Thailand is actually pretty familiar with butterfly pea, as they have a sweet syrupy blue drink called nam dok anchan (น้ำดอกอัญชัน), which made out of the flowers. Besides as food coloring, butterfly pea was also known as traditional Ayurvedic medicine centuries ago. Interesting, yes? :) For the food, Chandara has always been my favorite place to satisfy my Thai food crave. I haven't posted about it in my blog, have I? But now you know! ヾ(o・ᴗ・)ノ

Bad news: sick & staying at home for the rest of Sunday. Good news: still have some stock photos of some new findings that I would like to introduce to you, yay! This one is from Scoop Bar (you can find them on Twitter @ScoopBarID), found it last night at I Love Bazaar - @plaza_indonesia. They are going to open a store at @kotakasablanka. Should you give it a try? Let's see... They do offer some unique flavors for ice cream, like frambozen (same as raspberry actually, but theirs tasted a bit similar to kopyor I must say) & their banana is one of a kind (made from green one, so the ice cream is not yellow in color, but green!). Their soft baked cookies have some serious choices for cookie monster like me (though I ended up with the classic chocolate chips because it's that good!), from coffee to s'mores to matcha, etc. So, are you tempted enough to give it a try? Let me know. :)

Hot dinner tonight. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ Hot Stone Chicken, Hot Stone Bibimbap, & Hot Cappu. Verdict? Cappu was too thick, all foamy on top. I crushed the cookie that accompanied & put it inside just to give some texture. The chicken is not so special, but still okay. Bibimbap was a fun, healthy, and delish dish. You get to choose your meat (chicken, beef, or tofu for vegetarian), rice (long grain, Korean white, brown rice), and sauce (4 kinds if I'm not mistaken). Service was great, the waiters & waitresses were all attentive. Overall experience was almost great. :)

Pappa Jack's Dry Curry Mee with Steamed Chicken. Really dig the curry mee, but not so much on the steamed chicken. Services was slow & not really attentive (probably because they just opened few days ago). But I'll surely come back for the dry curry mee. :)

Hazelnut Coffee Mocha & Smoked Beef Sandwich for late lunch. The foam was too thick. The only good thing about the sandwich was that the fresh ingredients they used, so-so in terms of taste. Will I come back soon? Nah...

Introduced this place to my brother. Got him to try my favorite Beef Butter Bibimbap. Glad he also likes it, only downside was the lack of beef inside :( Have anyone tried their Carbonara Topokki or Spam Mari?

First time trying Holycow! It was worth the calories & long queue.

I love to have an empty restaurant all for myself. Went to Soup Spoon only because I haven't tried it and it was empty (lunch time already passed). Got myself a regular bowl of Beef Goulash. Turned out the regular sized soup was really fulfilling (I was skeptical about soup actually). Really enjoyed my choice of soup - brimming with beef and veggie (and less on the watery part). I also got Basil Pesto Chicken Sandwich which in the end I couldn't finish. The sandwich used ciabatta as the bread and it had this crispy outer texture which I couldn't resist to poke on. Haha :) I probably will come back next time to explore their soup options, plus their place in Senayan City is really cozy. What's your favorite here?

First time trying this kopitiam was 2 years ago in Karawaci. Now they offer more choices for food, this dish for example. Forgot the exact name, but the noodles was good! This branch is always crowded during weekdays. Glad I tried it on weekend where there's lesser crowd. By far, I think it's one of the most visited kopitiam (all branches) at the moment.
