Also went to get my sushi fix at this conveyer belt sushi place. Had 3 plates of tuna mayo. Amazing!! Got me wondering who the hell invented sushi? One of the most versatile food ever with so many different combinations.
Public holiday in Japan. Went out for some matcha gelato! This place is famous for their matcha ice cream with 7 different levels of matcha strength. I had level 3. They also have some other flavours including brown rice tea gelato and Adzuki bean gelato. ¥410.
New product in Coco Ichibanya Japan. Curry croquette! Pretty good - can still bite on chunks of potato in it. This is still the best place for Japanese curry in Japan IMO. Hinoya curry, which I went last week, is good too but their curry is on the sweeter side and much thicker gravy too.
Good coffee and authentic eclairs. Feels like I’m in Paris again.
At Butagumi. So cheap and good! I had chosen the regular sized pork tenderloin which only cost ¥1200. If you were to go for just the usual tonkatsu, it’ll be ¥1000. Free flow of rice and salad. Be prepared to queue.
I’m not a fan of Tsukemen so I gave up going to Rokurinsha. I wouldn’t say that the tonkotsu broth here is fantastic, but definitely better than anything I’ve had in Singapore. Noodles and the egg done to perfection.
Tendon at chain store Tenya. Super affordable tempura for only ¥540 with a decent sized prawn, squid, pumpkin and fish! Good quality! Add ¥60 for a soft boiled egg!
Was trying to get rid of coins and bought snacks from the vending machine.
Chips for ¥120 - run of the mill.
The brownie was ¥60 and way too dry. Had a few bites and chucked it!
