Queued for 15 minutes and ordered roast pork and char siew rice ($5.20). Char siew was the best I've had in SG with a sick char. Roast pork was pretty good too with crackling skin. Might be the best roast stall in Singapore! Sauce was however too sweet, and the rice was yellow chicken rice which was slightly clumpy and pretty forgettable.

Ordered BCM ($5) which had good ingredients and a huge serving of vinegar-ed mushrooms. Really tasty bowl. The mee kia was the highlight though - al dente and extremely well done with a great bite (kinda like Japanese mazesoba texture). Top 5 bowl of BCM for me!

Baikohken at North Canal Road was my go-to ramen growing up - however, after shifting to Takashimaya, the standard of the shop had dropped and I rarely went back. Was pleasantly surprised to find a branch at OneKM mall. Ordered miso chashu ramen ($12?! The same bowl at the taka branch costs about $16) - super value for money as it comprised 5 pieces (!) of chashu. Portion was massive, soup was very tasty, with decent noodles and decent chashu (some may find that the chashu is too tough as they use pork shoulder which is leaner, but personally I like lean meat instead of the fattier cuts). Beansprouts were good too. 100% will be back!

Ordered roast pork and roast duck rice for $5. Roast duck was normal and slightly too dry. Roast pork was pretty good though - skin was really crispy with the right amount of fats in the pork. Would probably come back for the roast pork if I'm nearby! The sauce/gravy poured on the rice was underwhelming though.

Came with high expectations, but the claypot rice sadly didn't live up to the hype. Rice wasn't very fluffy (think they didn't put enough water) and the rice came off the sides of the claypot too easily, which probably meant they didn't cook it for long enough. Tasted average overall, and the total bill was about $60 with a couple of zichar dishes. Unlikely to be back as there are many other better claypot rice dishes e.g. the famous one at smith street.

One of my favourite places to get my braised duck fix - this place is much better than the usual Yu Kee stalls found in random hawker centres. The lor bak here is really good too (tbh I like it more than the braised duck)! The massive portion for one person (braised duck, lor bak, tau pok, rice) amounted to only $8.20. Chilli is amazing too. Good stuff!

Ordered $4 lor mee - portion was small, ingredients were extremely normal, sauce was a tad too sweet. However, the shark meat nuggets (or whatever they're called) were super good - perfectly fried and with tasty flesh. Would come back just for this!

Had the Garlic Ramen ($16) and a side of yaki chashu ($8). A great bowl! The shallots added a nice dimension to it. Soup was quite good, noodles and chashu were great. The small gripe that I had with the dish was that they add too much raw garlic into the soup. The pieces of yaki chashu were really tasty, although I would have preferred them to come freshly grilled. Overall definitely a top-10 bowl of ramen for me, and possibly even one of the top 5! Eatigo has 50% discount for certain off peak timings too so it'll be really worth it.

This place is famous for their hor fun ($5), which was pretty tasty and had lots of wok hei. Ingredients were decent, although the prawns were big but slightly mushy and not fresh. The other dishes (bee hoon, $5 and braised beancurd, $10) were relatively forgettable. Worth a visit if one specifically has a hor fun craving, but other than that, the variety at this zichar is much less than other places. Not sure if I'll be back!

Entered at 630pm, just before the dinner crowd arrived. Ordered the Fugetsuyaki (okonomiyaki with pork, squid, prawn and beef; $20) and the Omelet Yakisoba (with pork and squid; $13.80). Okonomiyaki was not bad although ingredients were slightly lacking for the dish's price point. The yakisoba was the star of the show though - the fresh egg noodles were really tasty with a perfect texture and we regretted not ordering the large portion. Would come back just for this dish! Sauces on both dishes were really good - savoury and not excessively sweet. As a point of comparison - my girlfriend just visited Osaka's famous Ajinoya at Dotonbori a short while back and she thinks this yakisoba is better than Ajinoya's, although Ajinoya's okonomiyaki is still unrivaled. Jpassport users have a 10% discount off the bill too!

Ordered Sheng Jian Bao (about $4.50, can't remember exactly). Overall a tasty dish, the pan fried portion was well done (tasting similar to a fried mantou) and the meat portion was huge. Soup in the SJB was nice too. Would come back just to eat this dish as a supper snack! The XLBs were bad though due to their overly thick skin so I definitely wouldn't order that next time.

Ordered BCM with mee kia ($4). This bowl leans towards the vinegary side of the BCM spectrum - overall it was well balanced. Noodle texture was great and there were generous ingredients. My only gripe is that the noodles were too little - I could have eaten 2 bowls straight. A great supper option! Possibly (and probably) a top 10 bcm for me.
