This is great stuff if you’re sick of all the milk tea hype going on. Got the melon one and the one with the purple rice. The purple rice really give a lot and chew until damn tired but not bad la, generous. Didn’t ask for less sweet on the melon drink, so it was a little too sweet but still acceptable. Should be very nice had I asked for less sweet
Lasagna and prawns pasta. Prawns pasta was quite spicy for me but ok for my friend, I think it’s about ä¸è¾£ level. Lasagna not bad but quite heavy.. the vegetables at the side are basically decorations and does not serve much purpose lolol. Overall - Fast service and decent food.
Unassuming place but the rice was actually quite tasty! The fried chicken was also decent. The salad was very average and normal but nothing to complain about. Service a bit slow was the only negative observation I Guess.
Yuzu soju beer and white grape soju beer. The mango rice wine was also really tasty! can get tipsy tastily!
I come to ronin every so often (as the title indicates) and it’s kinda a hit and miss with the scrambled eggs. I used to think the scrambled eggs were like the best in Singapore because it was runny like the Gordon ramsay style (if you know you know). But these days, it’s only like that half the time. Mushroom, bread and drinks are still good tho.
Second time coming here, had the beef don instead of the katsu sandwich this time and as always, not disappointed! Feeling guilty only eat meat and rice, so add a bit veggies la hor
Idk about others but imho better ice cream than the ice cream place with jiaos in the name.
Had Ayam buah keluak for the first time and buah keluak is indeed an acquired taste. It’s like coffee/chocolate/olives and went well with rice, but overpowering on its own. The Assam fish was powerful (spicy, sour, sweet) but once again, damn good with rice. Kueh pie tee was a bit oily but otherwise tasty. Slightly pricey, lots of tourist, would bring overseas friends here
$100 per pax for 2 pax, includes a glass of champagne each. Food was mostly tasty but the beef cheeks on the risotto (top right corner pic) was AMAZING. Imagine beef cotton candy that literally toothless people can eat. It’s THAT soft. Mind blown by this main dish. Well that and the dessert, coconut sorbet, rum infused pineapple and something sour. Awesome ending to the meal! Ps: buy vouchers on chope to get discount...
TLDR: nice beef bowl and unagi, but would not recommend salmon mentaiko.
We were hungry and saw that the portions were quite small and hence used 2 x burpple beyond to get 4 rice bowls for 3 pax. We got 1 wagyu beef bowl large (normally $13) and unagi don (normally $12), and another beef bowl plus salmon mentaiko (normally $12). The size seemed unassuming but the rice was very filling. Beef and unagi don were tasty and the sauce on the rice were sufficient and great. But salmon was very little, like a thin layer on top of the rice. No or minimal sauce underneath too (understandably tho, not supposed to have sauce anyway). Just that it became kinda dry?
Got the fried chicken which was very juicy and tender - best part, no bones 😂 chilli crab pasta was decent, spicy but not like wow. Brussel sprouts were a pleasant surprise too.
The ratio of fish to rice made it feel the rice is the side dish! The chicken yakitori was tender and juicy too. Overall a great meal!
