Gave this stall at macpherson a try after seeing it being recommended by ieatishootipost. Ordered the large noodles as well as fried wantons. Noodles were springy and the sauce was appetizing, and tasted almost like Pontian noodles. However, I could hardly taste the crab flavor in the wantons (both the fried and steamed) and I felt that both the noodles and wantons were a tad too oily. Taste wise it is good & is worth a try!

Went to joo bar for the first time tonight & it was actually fully booked for the night, so had no choice but to sit at the bar counter. Ordered the 딲간쩡 (sweet & spicy chicken) & the kimchi pork stew! Both dishes were very appetizing & up to standard. Tasted quite authentic & went well with our makgeolli (Korean rice wine). Joo bar is known for their makgeolli & sure enough, it did not disappoint. Would definitely head back for more makgeolli & drinking snacks!

O'ma spoon was the first bingsu place i have ever visited in Singapore, & probably was the place that gave me a good impression of the dessert. Coming back here again after a year was a good choice, due to the fact that the nearby competitor, Ice Lab, was full. We ordered 3 different kinds of bingsu: Oreo, green tea & injeolmi (bean powder with rice cakes). The best out of all the 3 flavors was the injeolmi one. A classic yet simple bingsu flavor that packs a punch! The bean powder tasted plain yet so full of flavors at the same time, & the chewiness of the rice cakes gave the dessert the brownie points. The green tea was also really good as it had green tea ice cream on top, & it wasn't too bitter tasting as well. Overall, o'ma spoon is a good place to have your first taste of bingsu as the shaved ice that they use already contains milk in it, unlike the usual style of bingsu where they just make the ice with water.

Had a group outing to watami casual dining & as I have eaten here many times, I know that the standard of the food is not bad. Tried their beef rice bowl set which came with the main dish, a miserable small bowl of cold tofu, chawanmushi & miso soup. I also topped up $1 for the yuzu soda. The beef rice bowl was good & it was not as dry as I expected it to be due to the sauce at the bottom of the bowl. The beef slices were thin & also very delicious. There wasn't enough egg yolk (not that I am one to like egg yolks) but I felt that egg yolks play a big part in rice bowls. Overall good rice bowl! However, the chawanmushi was pretty bad. Tasted almost like the Chinese tze char steamed egg but probably with lesser flavoring. Mushrooms and fish cake in the chawanmushi didn't help to make the egg any better too. It was just too bland. Would order this rice bowl again but without the set!

Went to tanuki raw for the first time & i had a very pleasant experience. The food came fast & so did the drinks. I had the angus beef donburi set (with an onsen egg on top). The donburi had truffle rice in it & gave the dish a very aromatic smell due to truffle. The set also came with a salad & miso soup. My dad had the salted egg pork belly rice bowl which sadly, did not outshine the beef rice bowl that I had. The pork belly was crackled & fatty just the way I liked it though. To top it off, I ordered the shiso smooth drink which was extremely refreshing, and it managed to complement my dish.
