Though the chicken was really savoury, I felt really thirsty afterwards. The chicken thigh was juicy but the breast was quite dry. The food was good and substantial, but I felt that it was really overpriced. Don’t think I’ll be back

The crab was really sweet and fresh!! Chose thin bee Hoon which soaked up the soup really well. Overall a very flavourful dish, albeit a bit too rich for me.

Please bring back the shroomy chicken! The earthiness of the mushroom goes so well with the chicken and gives the sub a much more elevated flavour!

Why do bai mi fen dishes always come in plates although there is so much soup? Haha. The broth was quite flavourful, with intense prawn flavour. Prawns were juicy! I loved that there was sufficient wok hei (but could be more). A decent dish for $6 I must say :)

Awesome view, chill vibes, delicious food! Pork chop was juicy and well flavoured. The sweetness of the Apple sauce went really well with the saltiness and meatiness of the pork. It’s quite pricy though, but I guess you’re paying for the ambience as well.

Clam soup base, medley of mushrooms, springy noodles. Mushrooms were really a good addition to the earthiness. Clam soup base was just salty without a dimension in flavour. Noodles were springy and sort of whole meal like. Why is this Michelin tho?

Bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It’s good baguette. Beef slices were quite little and there was too much sweet chilli sauce. Overall, an okay-Banh mi, but you’re better off with the pho! :)

Loved the baguette, crispy and fresh! The filling was also flavourful: the fragrance of the coriander, sweetness of the sauce and spiciness of the chilli came together really well. Best part it’s only $3.80!

Decent porridge at the famous Bedok 85! I had the cuttlefish porridge and it tasted slightly bland as compared to the pork one. But the cuttlefish pieces were generous and well cooked! The texture of the porridge is commendable as well: creamy and smooth. A comforting and healthy meal!

Built my own pizza which turned out to be really affordable! Loved the crust, both flavour and texture and the ingredients were really really generous! There could have been more tomato sauce though but overall I really enjoyed my meal! Service was excellent (and they don’t even have service charge). Came here with Burpple beyond and it’s one of the better deals I have gotten (food quality and portion wise). Will be back!

The crust of the pizza was excellent! Chewy and crunchy. The flavour was also great. I felt that the pizza was a tad too salty with both the cured meat and the cheese but my partner loved it. There wasn’t a sauce base and it can get a little dry. Might be better adding tomato sauce!

Long standing bak kut teh shop Joo Chiat Road. Similar to the Malaysian BKT, the soup is more intense in soy flavour rather than the Singapore peppery version. Ingredients are generous and pork is tender, tho nothing much to shout about. Their yam rice is delicious, however I prefer to pair the soup with a good old plain rice to bring out the herbal taste. Will come back if I’m looking for a comforting meal!
