In love with Bun Cha (grilled pork with rice noodle) now 😍 Wanted to go back to Pho Vietnam Tuan & Lam again but it's close on Sundays boo... But ok food here is not bad either. & even cheaper. My Bun Cha costs 89czk only 😱
Went in because it was one of the more patronised restaurants in the lesser quarter. Food was ok. Travel buddies found the potato & bread dumplings (centre plate) weird but I think they went well with my pork pieces.
Don't be daunted by the queue. The queue moves fast & the gelato is worth the wait.
One of the cheaper food options in the old town. Loved the aglio olio. Was light & not oily.
Another recommendation from a friend. Pasta was so-so but dessert was great & service was excellent. Usually people would ignore us poor students or look at us disdain like wtf are we doing here. But we didn't experience any of that here. The waiter even gave us more dessert upon noticing that we were sharing 2 portions among the 3 of us.
They say Prague is known for its bad service. Well it's true. Found out at our first meal in Prague. Food took about 1 hour to come & the waitress short changed us. But ok at least the food is decent. Think the chef is asian so this is probably authentic to a certain extent.
Followed the crowd & bought this but they tasted horrid lol. Please don't ever have the bottom left dish kthxbai.
In Prague but having Vietnamese food because of multiple recommendations. & this place is really good. I liked my Bun Ga Mang Moc (rice noodles with pork meatballs) (99czk) but I recommend the Bun Cha (grilled pork with noodles & fish sauce) (129czk) that my friend had. Anyway, the food here is less pricey as compared to Old Town & Lesser Quarter & much more delicious!
For cheap beer & daily offers. Our new Chinese friend suggested this place so we went together & ordered massive portions of pork wtf. The giant piece of pork schnitzel costed only 17zty. (It's discounted on Monday.) Even though it is on offer, it tasted good. I liked it better than the pork knuckle (which our new friend recommended). The pork knuckle was too salty & dry. Anyway, it is charged by mass. Every 100g costs 4.90zty. The waitress suggested we get 1.2kg for 4 but the bill came out to be 1.3kg. Not so I giam like but this is dishonesty so we didn't tip. & Honestly, 1.2kg is way too much for 4. So order less if you go. Beer was good though. At 3zty, it's only about 1.1sgd for 0.4l. (1l is 7.5zty.) Many people just came for the beer.
Stumbled upon this homely restaurant. 20zty is about ~7.5sgd so this is mega cheap?! Was doubting the price with every mouth because the food was great. Top right is supposed to be a soup but tasted more like porridge lol. Bottom left is duck meat. The sauce is a bit salty but all is good with the potato & vegetable. The apple pie (bottom right) was crunchy & not too sweet. Service was also good. Like the best I've encountered here. I accidentally spilled my kompot (traditional fruit drink) but they weren't annoyed whatsoever.
Traditional place recommended by a friendly starbucks barista. But we over ordered again fol. From top right clockwise: meat & cabbage traditional pierogi, old mill pancakes with meat sauce, baked pierogi with liver & champignon mushrooms & tomato soup with pasta (centre). The pierogis were hugeeee so don't buy too much haha. Each plate of pierogis comes with a sauce of your preference. I recommend the mushroom sauce. Also loved the pancakes which tasted like the Korean kind rather than the McD's kind. Above the tomato soup is the buttermilk which tasted strange. A bit like Turkish ayran but with weird aftertaste. We left it as it was after a few sips. Anyway, place is slightly more pricey than the other place we've been.
