The crispy pork belly was so amazing! To skip the queue at this super famous restaurant among locals and tourists alike, one can buy the vouchers on klook. Sadly, I bought the wrong vouchers and we did get to try the mama noodles 😭 Nonetheless, we got to try their other signature dishes, including their roast pork belly and salmon sashimi appetiser! The Roast Pork Belly is really a winner. Wonderful crispy crackling with tender succulent meat, this meat is really addictive. Pair this with the sweet black sauce given and you really can't stop! Really one of the best roasted pork belly I've had. The salmon sashimi appetiser was pretty interesting, as I don't think I've had raw salmon marinated in a spicy tangy sauce. Still, the salmon was fresh and the tangy sauce actually made it very refreshing! Will be back to try the mama noodles again 😂

When holidaying in Bangkok, throw away your diet plans momentarily and indulge in as much street food as you can, even to the point of having supper even after you have a full dinner. That is what we did for one of the evenings by having supper at Jeh O Chula, an immensely popular late night street food in town that at times you have to queue for at least two hours before you get a table. Fortunately, we bought the express pass voucher from Klook prior to that, and the voucher also comes with a set meal of food. Hence, we are able to skip the queue and got a table within 10 minutes upon reaching the stipulated time indicated on the voucher. We got the Set B ($30.39) which comes with a small pot of Jeh O’s Famous Mama Tom Yum with mixed seafood, eggs and pork meatballs in it, Jeh O’s Signature Crispy Pork Belly, Yum Salmon of salmon sashimi in a sour spicy Thai sauce and a plate of stir-fried morning glory. The set is more than enough to feed 2-3 pax and you can order more when you in the restaurant, so that is a trick to get your table without braving the queues. The highlight of the meal has got to be the Mama Tom Yum pot, a pool of comfort food in a creamy spicy broth that you cannot get enough of. Is this worth an air ticket to come to Bangkok for? I would say a resounding yes; the other tom yum mama in Singapore just didn’t have the x-factor and taste that Jeh O Chula brings to the table. Tang Yuan This has been always my favourite place to go after midnight, especially when the weather was so cold. Having a bowl of hot soup with tang yuan could be the best dessert for such cold weather, and they open until 3:30am.

Red Bean Soup With Lotus Seeds The soup was warm, sweet, crunchy, basically the best kind of thing to eat during a rainy day or during cold weather. One can taste the different layers of flavor it had with the lotus seeds and red beans. It was like different kinds of the sweet taste which made the desert much more interesting than a typical red bean soup!

Steamed Milk Pudding Since you already here, then you shouldn’t left without trying their signature steamed milk pudding. It tastes sweet and tasty. You can go with either hot or cold.

Scrambled Egg Sandwich Every tourists coming to Hong Kong should be very familiar with this shop, a well-known Hong Kong cha chang teng that most people would visit at least once. Thankfully there wasn’t any queue when I came late afternoon on weekday. Managed to find myself a seat immediately. Since this is my afternoon tea time, so I grabbed their scrambled egg sandwich. Fluffy with crispy texture of the bread. Do note that for them to toast the bread will required additional charge.

Breakfast Set My experience at ADC wasn’t the best. I would say this place is overhyped by tourists. It was no doubt that the scrambled eggs were good but.....pricey. Yes I know HK food are pricier but compared to other 茶餐厅 i felt ADC was slightly on the higher side. Aside from the eggs everything else was quite normal for me. Btw does anyone know why do some sets come with tomato but some do not? I won’t recommend this place but highly recommend their neighbour Mak Man Kee for juicy dumplings! ❤️

Lamb Shawarma Wrap With Shahi Spiced braised pulled lamb, caramelized onion and melted cheese, wrapped in toasted pita. Served with hand cut fries and garlic aioli with a dash of pepper. The fries were drenched in olive oil, could be their style but I prefer them crisp. Service was good, they served our food simultaneously so my main was slightly cold, best to ask them to serve whenever it's ready. Sizzling Brownie & Oreo Ice Cream (RM19) The walnut brownie with ice cream on top is served on a hot plate and chocolate sauce is poured at the table for that sizzling effect. The hot, rich brownie with cold oreo ice-cream worked so well together. It was so good that I wanted another one.

Slightly Sweet Beer 1 of 3 craft beers on tap - here is the Scotch Silly (27++RM, 250ml), a Belgian butterscotch beer. 🇧🇪 It was sweet, not in a sharp cider way, but more of a subtle caramel-ish way. Overall not too crazy lah. Doesn't make it to my list of favourites. Look forward to tender pieces of grilled unagi and crunchy granny smith apples sandwiched between dehydrated seaweed — interesting and delicious! Dive straight for the Beef With Seaweed Butter (RM27) and look forward to medium-rare slices of quality beef on seaweed butter rice, served with pickles and fresh veggies. Also good is the Japanese Fried Chicken (RM25) – deep-fried karaage in a creamy butter sauce. Ps. All lunch bowls come with a glass of ice tea.

Japanese Fried Chicken (RM25) Must-order for the chicken lovers. Super crunchy chicken slicked in a butter sauce with curry leaves, served with the same sides as the beef bowl – jammy egg, pickles, charred kailan, edamame and raw purple cabbage. Very satisfying.

Go for the Benedict III (RM30), where poached eggs sit on fluffy French toast and are served with kale, mushrooms, beef bacon or turkey ham. Fans of pasta will enjoy the colourful Aglio Olio (RM24) tossed with sauteed mushrooms, black olives and tomatoes. Fowl Luck This is probably the one dish I order repeatedly here whenever I’m craving for a simple roast chicken. Roasted thigh leg served with herbed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, olives, mushroom and salsa gravy. The mushroom gravy is quite addictive with a hint of truffle. RM26 per serving.

Alio Oglio When was the last time you saw alio oglio this colourful? It’s as good as it looked. Will definitely come back for this.
