The pretzels were just crisp on the outside and omg! So fluffy on the inside. And the sausages (you eat them out of their casing) were lean but still so lecker!

Not even back 48 hours and I feel like flying back to Europe 🙈

Considering I bake for a living, I've never tasted or baked with rhubarb before because they cost a pretty penny here in SG.

This was lovely with an almond cake base, filled generously with sweet, tart, well cooked rhubarb, and topped with a thin layer beautifully browned meringue. Definitely going to try to make this at home but perhaps with apples instead.

Doesn't look pretty but rather comforting to eat! Now I understand why @pacamaru1 enjoys this dish although his mama apparently makes it even better 😋

Weißspargel. German Ham.
It's the simple things in life that paint the biggest smiles.

Came to Hamburg not expecting much in the culinary realm, least of all anything seafood related (pardon my ignorance) and left my heart in the krabbenbrötchen and bismarck herring brötchen. Although they're now technically in my stomach.. Or out 🙊

The krabbenbrötchen was sweet and briney but the bismarck herring was out of this world. Salty tart pickled herring against sweet raw onions in a fluffy crusty roll - such a simple combination but so complex in flavours. I'd return to Hamburg just for this.
