Got the Nuts For Açai Bowl [$9.30] and I thought it was pretty average. For the price and quantity, I would say that it is on the pricier side as there are competitor Brands that offer it at a more affordable price. I did really like the cacao nibs as they added a contrasting bitterness to the very sweet dish. Would give it a 3 out of 5 berries! 🤤

I have a blog @breadandbagelsco! Go check it out!

Tried the Hawaiian teriyaki burger [$10.80] and it had a really umami and creamy taste to it! The burger came with buns, lettuce, a slice of tomato, a grilled soy patty and the one ingredient that brought everything together- GRILLED PINEAPPLE! First time having pineapple in a burger and boy will I be adding grilled pineapples to all my burgers, it tasted really good and I would 💯 return. And having eaten many different versions of vegetarian mock meat, I have to say this is really one of the better mock meats that have been masked! Only thing I wish was that it was more affordable 🙁 if not, I would be having this everyday!

Ordered the veggie omelette [$9.80], which was pretty tasty but pretty average as well. It came with a medley of vegetables like bell pepper (red, yellow and green), onions, tomatoes and mushrooms. It also had cheese in the middle and it was served with a cheese toast! I also got the chocolate cake [$8.50] to-go. It was pretty good considering it was vegan! Although the prices here are on the steeper end, I would say it’ll be a great place to have brunch if you are around the area but a special trip down is not necessary. Overall, a 7.5/10!

Tucked away in a small corner of Katong is baker’s well, which sells muffins, cakes and even breads! I got the banana walnut muffin [$1.90] to try and it was pleasantly tasty! It was moist and buttery but just enough to satisfy that afternoon snack craving. They also carry a bunch of other flavours like chocolate strawberry and a handful of other desserts like the almond croissant.

Was in the area and I chanced upon this gelato place which sells really interesting flavours! I got the sea salt hojicha [$4.70] which is definitely not a commoner amongst other gelato places. You can try the ice cream before purchasing which is great! Oh, one could also get a thyme cone [$1] to go along with the gelato!

We visited the Glasshouse and ordered the latte [$4 ] and almond croissant [$5]! The croissant was pretty tough and I think it would have been better if it were more flaky as compared to the dry texture that we received the other day. The latte was good! I mean they do specialise in coffee so no surprise there! Would recommend going for the coffee.

Priced at $13.80 is the parfait that contains hojicha ice cream, cornflakes, two pieces of chocolate fundge, red bean paste, brown sugar jelly and whipped cream! VERY SWEET! For those out there that have a sweet tooth, this is for you. I would recommend sharing amongst 4-5 people as it can get very overwhelming. Nonetheless very tasty, it’s just way too sweet.

Headed down to Jab Coffee Co to try their soufflé pancakes and boy were they worth it! For only $4.50, you get fluffy pancakes, alongside maple syrup and fresh berries, nothing out of the norm. Would highly recommend for those that have a pancake craving, are on a budget and in town as most places I know sell soufflé pancakes for 3-4 times the price. They also sell toasts, yogurts and coffee!

Tried the green milk tea with pearls [$3.50]! One could really taste the tea flavour in the drink and it was pretty milky. The pearls just tasted like normal pearls one could get from other bubble tea chains. However, the waiting time for the drink is usually about 10-15 minutes long so get it if you can wait!

Located a small walk away from Raffles MRT is teabrick! I tried the hibiscus kombucha [$4.80] and earl grey jelly [$0.80]. The drink had a very refreshing and acidic taste! Recommend! They also serve unusual toppings like earl grey jelly and Chia seeds, highly recommend for the health conscious ones! Would recommend for those that want to try kombuchas and are around the CBD area.
