Desserts For All 🧁🍰
It was more of a donut ball than donut because it was served as a filled donut. The filling was either peach of yuzu (haha I couldn’t really figure out which it was) but it have the donut a refreshing hit which was interesting! Would recommend for those that don’t really like matcha as the matcha flavour isn’t that strong. Overall, not a bad donut! 🍩
For $1.60 you get a mee jiang kueh the size of your entire hand, yes I’m not kidding the serving size of 1 mee jiang kueh there was huge and absolutely worth the price tag of $1.60! They even have an all day breakfast set that comes with a slice of mee jiang kueh, 2 eggs and a coffee or tea. Definitely a steal!
F L U F F Y donuts! The flavour of earl grey was well infused into the donuts however, $2.90 is a little steep for a donut the size of your palm. It’s a good novelty treat!
Absolutely enjoyed this crepe cake! However, the crepe itself was very dense and a little too heavy for my liking but the flavours were a match made heaven!! 🌸
It came with a mini creme brûlée, half a slice of moelleux chocolate and a big macaron (because they ran out of the small macaroons) as well as a tea of your choice. Pretty good in my opinion, as you can share between 2! Very sweet though! Overall, ☕️☕️☕️☕️ out of 5!!
After brunch, my family and I walked down to twenty frames for dessert and were surprised to find that it was pretty empty (@1pm). So we decided on the Charcoal Waffle with Three Scopes of Gelato [$18.90]. We got the hazelnut, dark chocolate and caramel gelatos and I absolutely loved the hazelnut one. The dark chocolate was REALLY sweet and overall the dish was kind of and overkill of sugar. The waffle was you average waffle, I’ve had batter (haha get it?!). Overall, 2.5 waffles out of 5!!
I got the large Açai Dual Soft Serve [$7.90]. It was good as it came with a large serving of soft serve (enough for 2), granola, 1 fruit and 1 additional topping. And it’s comparable to an açai affair and project açai but for it’s price I’d say pretty good! 🍓🍓🍓+1/2 🍓 out of 5!
Got the Nuts For Açai Bowl [$9.30] and I thought it was pretty average. For the price and quantity, I would say that it is on the pricier side as there are competitor Brands that offer it at a more affordable price. I did really like the cacao nibs as they added a contrasting bitterness to the very sweet dish. Would give it a 3 out of 5 berries! 🤤
I have a blog @breadandbagelsco! Go check it out!
Tucked away in a small corner of Katong is baker’s well, which sells muffins, cakes and even breads! I got the banana walnut muffin [$1.90] to try and it was pleasantly tasty! It was moist and buttery but just enough to satisfy that afternoon snack craving. They also carry a bunch of other flavours like chocolate strawberry and a handful of other desserts like the almond croissant.
Was in the area and I chanced upon this gelato place which sells really interesting flavours! I got the sea salt hojicha [$4.70] which is definitely not a commoner amongst other gelato places. You can try the ice cream before purchasing which is great! Oh, one could also get a thyme cone [$1] to go along with the gelato!
We visited the Glasshouse and ordered the latte [$4 ] and almond croissant [$5]! The croissant was pretty tough and I think it would have been better if it were more flaky as compared to the dry texture that we received the other day. The latte was good! I mean they do specialise in coffee so no surprise there! Would recommend going for the coffee.
Priced at $13.80 is the parfait that contains hojicha ice cream, cornflakes, two pieces of chocolate fundge, red bean paste, brown sugar jelly and whipped cream! VERY SWEET! For those out there that have a sweet tooth, this is for you. I would recommend sharing amongst 4-5 people as it can get very overwhelming. Nonetheless very tasty, it’s just way too sweet.
