Fried Laksa (RM9) A positive twist for a non-soupy person, getting my dose of concentrated asam laksa. Don’t give up if you have to wait for tables, the turnover is quick and food is served promptly.

Fried Asam Laksa Haven't seen anywhere else do this, so as an asam laksa fanatic, I was automatically intrigued. I thought it would be a gimmick thing but it was actually pretty good! Very flavorful and has more of that distinct laksa taste compared to many regular soup laksa stalls. They have air conditioning too, which is always a plus!

Fried Laksa Fried Laksa at Restaurant Well Cook Gourmet. The first time I was informed about this dish I was totally shock, Fried Laksa??? Till I visited Well Cook Gourmet at Section 14 Subang. RM8.00/plate and the taste was full of flavors. Highly recommend this place for you guys to try something new. By the way, it's Pork Free so my dear Muslim friends can also try it out. They also have very tasty Char Kuey Teow, Popiah and many more.

Fish Taco Fish taco, soft wrap with crispy deep fried fish, soft and juicy inside. Like it :) can’t remember the last time I had good taco

Grilled Cheese Sandwich Rubberduck’s grilled cheese is so full of cheesy goodness, every bite. Comes with a hearty bowl of tomato soup too ! Comfort food on a rainy day for sure.

Sunshine Bowl This is the Sunshine bowl with banana, pineapple, mango, chia seeds, granola and coconut flakes. A great combination of ingredients in a smoothie bowl and not overly sweet. A bit pricey though!

Be Prepared to Queue Thankfully, I didn't have to queue, & was able to secure a table too. I came before the weekday lunch crowd, which was fortunate because a few minutes after ordering, the line built up pretty quickly.

So Good I didn't expect a coffeeshop meal to cost $14 (total) for 2 people..... A platter of duck for 2 pax, & 2 bowls of rice? Really? But dang, this was impressive & I'd gladly come here again. Loved how saucy & flavourful this was, with the duck meat being tender & not gamey. The soup was delicious & comforting, too. I totally understand the hype, now.

Braised Duck Rice They do not list their prices, neither do they have any menu over here. All we have to do is to inform them how many pax we have and they will serve up a platter that is sufficient for everyone with rice/porridge. We ordered a platter for 2 pax that comes with braised duck meat, tofu, peanuts, fish cake, eggs and bean sprouts together with 2 bowls of soup and rice. The duck meat was well braised and tender without the gamey taste. I liked the braised sauce that is thick and savoury and it is the reason why I'm coming back here again for more duck rice 》$18

ricotta hotcake ($26) Only available during the weekend! Eggy & fluffy inside with crispy edges🥞 Then, you get a different chewy texture when mixed with the ice cream, which had such a strong vanilla bean flavour 😋🍨

Matcha Latte (Hot - $6.50) I felt that it was quite milky texture tbh and mild taste for matcha. I wanted to try their matcha latte for a long time until now. It took me a while.

Golden Waffle + Ice Cream ($15++) Very quiet on a Tuesday night with only a handful of tables - perfect for those who want some peace and quiet in the bustling City Hall area! We had the Golden Waffle with a scoop of ice cream, which the staff - Jing - recommended Yuzu Yoghurt. And it was so good! She was so nice and let us try a few flavours; also recommended the Almond Financier waffle which I am seriously considering returning to try. The only downside would be the price point, $17.99 in total is pretty steep :(

Hot chocolate Tanzania 7.5nett One for the hipsters. I really dislike this place. They don't reply their insta, they're cashless, hard to find, cannot takeaway. Just a general pain in the neck Given how they encourage people to dine in, you can imagine how packed this place is with hobos. 30mins before they closed, the place is still packed. Jesus Christ This hot choc is not well crafted at all. The milk foam is thick as hell, to the point I thought the chocolate is weak. Chocolate notes are dark and fruity, without much sweetness at all. Except that it's all at the bottom, as if it's not properly dissolved. So first 3 mouthfuls just milk and last 2 mouthfuls almost pure chocolate that's way too intense. Nope

Good coffee and vibes Finally tried @apartmentcoffee and I loved both the coffee and vibes at this chill cafe! I had a simple Iced Latte ($6.50) which had strong aromatic notes and it was abit fruity even. Just the right amount of milk, this was an enjoyable cup! The ceramic cup given was also really pretty. I like how they have a good number of art pieces around that added to the chill vibes they provided! Really does make you feel relaxed. This is quite a popular cafe, so do note that they limit dining time to about an hour! This is still good for a short chill conversation with your loved ones, or short pause from your daily activities. Will be back when I'm around in the area!

Chocolate - Uganda Kisinga (Hot - $7.50 + Oat Milk - $0.50)) based on my memories (tastebub), I got citrus with berries and molasses. But their chocolate was not bad even though I opt out for oat milk because sis needChocolate - Uganda Kisinga to eat buffet lol. I preferred to drink something hot before the buffet to calm my nerves first. I did enjoyed their cafe environment to be cosy and minimalist style.

For Special Cantonese Fried Ying Yong in Tomato Gravy Easily accessible via the Pasar Seni MRT is this homely restaurant that serves up a variety of Chinese rice and noodles dishes. A house speciality is the “Ying Yong” With Tomato Sauce (from RM10) which Burppler Sok Chien Lim aptly describes as an Eastern version of Pasta Bolognese. This dish sees crispy vermicelli and flat rice noodles buried in a thick egg sauce mixed with ketchup for added sweetness – what a way to up the ying yong game! Want that perfect Instagram shot and amazing food to boot? You've found your spot. Seated outside, we got the perfect natural lighting for the gram (bless the smoking ban). ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The tsukene (meat stick) yakitori pictured was delicious. The generous amount of minced chicken and veg wrapped around the stick was tender and a flavour bomb in of itself. The accompanying raw egg yolk is quite an acquired taste with a strong flavour one would call 'umami'. ⁣⁣ ⁣ 💬: The only downside for me is the price point, but even that can be justified by the stunning decor, friendly service, and high quality food.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I would definitely re-visit as many menu items intrigued me!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ On an important note, using reusable straws is a simple step one can take to save the environment. Rum & Raisin (RM10) I really appreciate the details at Lucky Tora. The artisanal ice cream is served in an icy cold tin bowl, which keeps it cool and intact for much longer than usual. On flavour, this ultra creamy scoop delivers a rummy punch with sweet raisin bits. Even not-a-big-fan-of-ice-cream me quite enjoyed this treat.
