Still amazed by the level of umami, especially at this price point π€―π€― Essentially a bowl of mindblowingly good zhajiangmian with its stir fried shredded pork, the thin ramen noodles were so springy and QQ, and held up the house made sauce with truffle oil so nicely! Definitely a must try when youβre here! Not the most ideal space for a catch-up, but there are some small sitting area for you to catch a quick meal, and trust me the umami-ness is easy on the palate and on the wallet π₯°π₯°
Got this delivered the other day, and got to say Iβve never been more disappointed π’π’ Portions were measly (ordered 2 types of CHICKEN aka cheap meat you can afford to spam) and definitely not worth at this price. Got the soba salad with Definitely donβt remember ever being so sad eating Maki-san, but wonβt be having this again for a long time to come π₯π₯
This was surprisingly pretty yummy for a random fast food ramen. Canβt have this with expectations cause noods were defo too soft (although they separate it on delivery) and beef was stringy, but definitely better than expected from a fast food chain π€π€
This was actually surprisingly really really good?? Yam flavour was thiccc ++ and loved how there was a good balance between the drink and the chunky bits! Definitely a thicker/heavier drink than the usual milk tea, but the flavour is so yammy! ππ And especially love the mixture of different textures - pudding, yam bits and yam paste π€€π€€
Great place to get your leicha fix when youβre in need of a little more health π₯¦π₯¬π₯ Pictured is the small portion, which is definitely enough for even a big eater! Really like their toppings here with the huge variety and they complemented each other well! (even tho no ikan bilis or hebi) Especially liked the chye poh that added a really nice crunch! Not sure if I diluted the tea too much on my own, but would have preferred a stronger taste though this is very beginner-friendly and really liked that basil-mint tinge to it. Also, they had an option of brown rice or beehoon (which is pretty rare), but I guess one level up would be offering other yam/pumpkin rice etc. The perpetual long queue speaks for itself and one of the must-tries here at Bukit Timah Food Centre!
One of the more popular claypot rice in Singapore with its Michelin Bib Gourmand, finally got around to trying it and it didnβt quite live up to my expectations ππ Donβt get me wrong - itβs still a pretty solid bowl of claypot rice, with a really nicely charred sheet of rice at the bottom and they definitely do not scrimp on the ingredients (chicken, duck liver sausages, lup cheong, salted fish) - but the ingredients didnβt come together quite as nicely as I had hoped, and the wokhei-ness just didnβt quite infuse into the rice like some of the other claypot rice around. Especially liked their chicken, which was tender and flavourful and very un-dry even after being cooked for such a long time, but didnβt like that it was not de-boned which made it difficult to eat. Main draw would still be the generous serving at a very affordable price ($12 portion can easily feed 3 pax, or 2 hungry people), and the commitment to cooking to every order (which also results in a long wait, so definitely call ahead to order!) ππ»ππ»
Pretty standard truffle fries - crispy thinly cut with detectable truffle taste - but portion was a little small for $10. Definitely would stick to their pizzas instead!
Would recommend skipping this cause wasnβt baked or mildly charred as I expected, but rather came more steamed than anything π’π’ Maybe a saving grace was the onions maybe, but definitively not worth the price
Tried their Half & Half XXL pizza with Fruitti Di Mare (squid, prawns, venus clams, oregano) and Carne (meatballs, bacon, pepperoni, mozzarella). The former was pretty average and I guess plus points for generous servings of seafood, and the latter was a tad too dry for my liking even with the protein overload ππ But donβt get me wrong, really love their pizzas here an definitely do give their Burrata & Prosciutto pizza a try! ππ PSA: 3% cashback if you pay with a card linked to ShopBack! Really loved their Burrata & Prosciutto - generously topped with strips of parma ham, chunks of burrata cheese, tomato confit (this gave such a nice sweet tangy spin to it!) and rockets (easy hack to atas up any pizza) π€€π€€ Also, am a fan of their XXL-sized (21") pizzas ($62 for Speciale flavours; $55 for Classico flavours) that are the perfect centrepiece to any large group gatherings! ππPSA: 3% cashback if you pay with a card linked to ShopBack! Finally got around to trying this famous Michelin Bib Gourmand zhnged-up wanton mee (I ordered the medium size one) - and got to say, itβs truly worthy to be called Singapore-Style Ramen ππ»ππ» Though it is indeed pretty pricey for a bowl of hawker noods, but definitely worth a try and the occasional treat! Really impressed by the team that worked with clockwise precision to replicate each bowl with such meticulous attention to detail, and the presentation and taste speaks for itself. Hard to pick the best side when every element of this dish was well done and beautifully complemented each other so well with the melt-in-your-mouth tender chashu, huge juicy HK-style wontons, crispy potato-wrapped prawn, ebi prawns, and a perfectly done soy-marinated hot spring egg. But still, the winner was definitely the springy thin wanton noodles that was the very definition of QQ and was coated in the most amazing of sauces with a slight sambal kick! Definitely worth the hype! π₯°π₯°
This was surprisingly actually quite nice! Crumbles on top was crisp and encased the moist gooey appley goodness inside! Liked that it was a good balance of sweet and savoury, and definitely enjoyed this more than their chocolate tart! ππ
