Beef and chimichurri burger ($22.50) // Grilled beef and double mushroom burger ($23) Michelin-Starred Italian-Argentine Chef Mauro Colagreco opened @carnesg, and I'm glad they had a 11.11 Promotion with 1-1 Burgers, which made me finally decide to order their burgers to try!
Beef and chimichurri burger ($22.50)
Butter bun, 160g natural grass-fed beef, signature chimichurri, smoked scamorza cheese, pickled jalapeno, onion and tomato salsa, local arugula.
Honestly thankful that the burgers did not come soggy, especially since it had to survive delivery. It was however not soft as expected though, although I'd pick slightly "firmer" burgers than soggy ones anyway. The buns had a strong butter flavour, but were slightly dry. This burger had more "mexican flavours" from the salsa, and was slightly spicy from the jalapeno and sauces.
Grilled beef and double mushroom burger ($23)
Butter bun, 160g natural grass-fed beef, local shiitake, pickled onions, natural cheese, mushrooms duxelles, garlic mayo.
Preferred this burger for less of the salsa-ish flavours, and you could also taste the beef flavour from the patty since it isn't overwhelmed by sauces here - but fans of salsa flavours would prob prefer the other burger. Their burgers were quite salty for many of us, and I'd say it isn't the softest and most moist burger patty out there.
Definitely not worth $20+, but with the 1-1 during their 11.11 promotion, I'd say it's a decent burger (~$12.30).
