We tried the Chicken Stew ($16) and Scrambled Lyonnaise ($16 + $3 for sausage). The food was generally tasty and well-prepared. Prices were decent as well (and NETT pricing)! The Apple Cider sausage that we added to the Scrambled Lyonnaise was really hard đŤ, otherwise the dish was great! Chicken stew was good too.
For $29 for two, I think it was quite worth it. Lobster meat was fresh and the bun was fragrant and well-toasted. The bisque tasted good but was unfortunately clumpy. Wish they had more drinks options (only 100plus and iced lemon tea). I understand that its a takeaway stand but it might be good to consider not using so much plastic (the lids are quite unnecessary) for dine-ins! A good deal with Burpple but I wouldnât eat this on an ordinary day without the promotion.
The Acai itself was great! With the burpple beyond promotion, it was super worth it. I preferred the almond butter over the cookie butter which was too sweet for me. The coconut sorbet was great and light. The outlet itself though... Loud obnoxious kpop music was playing and some parts were so dirty! You can see that the preparation area is not maintained well. The toilet was so dirty too. For a place that is supposedly âgreenâ, tea was served in paper cups even though we were dining in.
Mediocre at best.. Pork belly itself was quite crispy and eggs were fluffy but somehow the dish didnât come together nicely. The sauce was also too salty. This dish was around $16 aft gst and service which I donât think was worth it at all.
Great food around SMU area. Portions have increased since they started (yay!) and food is still amazingly delicious. For a bowl like this, it would set you back about $9.90 (for students, $8.90) but totally worth it.
This was $6.90? Not worth it in my opinion for such a small bowl. The acai was also quite diluted :â( The proportion of the chai seeds to acai was a bit too overwhelming.
Dropped by the PUB recreational centre to check out the facilities and had lunch at Cafe Football. The food was unexpectedly good. The duck was well flavoured and the nachos were great! The cafe mocha was so-so, a little below average. Food was good though.
We got the prawn aglio olio and the four cheese pizza with the burpple 1-1 offer. It was extremely worth it! The aglio olio was amazingly flavourful and they were generous with their big prawns. Try it when you can!
Enjoyed a 3 course meal at half the price with Burpple Beyond. We were particularly impressed with the appetisers (the octupus and the salmon). As for mains, the rib eye steak was great and nicely cooked. The pork was flavourful but too tough. The desserts were too overwhelming in our opinion (tiramisu went a tad too hard on the coffee, key lime meringue was a bit too sour). That said, it was good that we had a nice mix of flavours. Service was also excellent! Worth a try with Burpple Beyond.
We got the Fave voucher for 2 ($16.90 NETT) which is an absolute steal! A warning though - itâs basically a one-man show and the sole lady running the store is usually overwhelmed. Donât expect amazing service. The quality of the food is good and for $16.90, what else could you expect?
Go on their promotion days (Mon and Thur) for fresh sashimi at only $3++ for 5 pieces. It goes w/o saying that we feasted on dat good thiCCC sashimi. Best sashimi fix!
We got the ala carte 12 piece garlicky chicken ($17.95) This used to be my favorite korean fried chicken but this time it was a tad too salty for my liking... and the skin was not as crispy too. The cheesy dokbokki is quite good ($11 ish) but not worth the price in my opinion.
